Ok, this is a post I did on 4/11 about my son. I've gotten a few replies but I'd like to know what you think?
Hello all!
My eleven-year old son likes to daydream while he is trying to go to sleep at night. He imagines himself performing on a stage, having the time of his life. Just when things are going well, the microphone cord gets tied around his ankle and pulls the microphone out of reach. Everyone in the audience then gets angry and says what a bad show it is. The catch is, he can't control whether the cord gets wrapped or not. He has imagined a cordless one and a headset one but the corded one always appears and the same thing happens. This is really bothering him, to the point of tears. I don't know how to help him. I tell him to imagine something else but he is set on this and doesn't want to deviate from it. When he stops daydreaming he can feel the cord around his actual ankle. Help please
