      Waking up, detrimental, bad?

Okay..... Is it BAD or DETRIMENTAL to wake up during the night? or like a couple of times near the morning like 5-6-7?

Because my mom is saying something is abnormal/wrong with it

Will this interfere with my growing progress and halt the brain growth or something of the sort?

It's completely normal. We wake up several times a night. Several. We never remember though. You would have a problem if you commonly woke up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep. There's nothing wrong with this.

Other than that, you are just waking up.

Oh and welcome to the community

Hello and welcome to Dreamviews! Waking up during the night is perfectly fine. There are alot of misguided rumors and false information when it comes to dreams and sleep. Simply because most people just don't know enough about it. I assure you, your brain will end up perfectly normal (as long as it was normal in the first place j/k). Please enjoy your stay here on dreamviews and good luck to you!

      Thank you... that's assuring
It gives me confidence, I even told my body, if it's detrimental don't wake up, but i still woke up at 4:40.... always 4:40, and then 6

i've always been aware of waking several times in the early morning...
it's not only super healthy but good for lucid dreams, too

It's totally normal. Tell your mom to read a book on sleep before scaring the pants off you.

i've always been really glad i learned about LD
i agree, waking up is just what my body does anyway
now i have something really cool to do instead of just waking up and trying to get back to sleep

tibetan dream yoga says that it's good to be awake all the time, even when you are "asleep"... so who's to say you are "waking up" when you LD? or try to... maybe you are just claiming your natural awake state that persists always below the surface.
