Hello guys, last few night, just before falling asleep, i felt realy strange feel. It felt like i was laying reverse in my bed :roll: I try to represent that in this picture below ;) Could you explain why it is happening, and what does it mean?

were you trying to induce a lucid dream? if that's the case what technique were you using?
I think that what you felt is Sleep Paralysis.

No, i didnt try to induce lucid dream. I was just laying in bed and waiting to fall asleep after hard day. My body wasnt paralysed at all. Maybe it was just a begining of sleep paralysis, so i didnt feel paralysed... :roll: It was so strange :shock:It felt like my bed suddenly turned 180 degrees. :shock:
Mmmm I've had something similar a few times, though not when I was falling asleep. It was when I woke up, and I was lying in the dark and I very honestly thought I was laying backwards in my bed exactly like you said. Well, actually before that, I thought I was sitting on the corner of the coffee table downstairs in the living room - in absolute darkness. I believe at this time I was asleep or half awake, probably in SP. I sat frozen in fear for a while, wondering how I got there. Then it slowly dawned on me that I wasn't sitting, I was laying down and could feel covers, so I knew I was in my bed. But I thought I was laying the wrong way. I was still afraid to move, thought I might hurt myself because I would hit the wall or something. Then as I slowly gained awareness and the ability to move, I realized it was a lot more likely I was laying the right way and just confused.
As I recall this happened during a very stressful time of my life. I believe the stress caused it. Could be unconnected though. I think this is what I';d call a sort of "false OBE", or the idea that you're somewhere else when you wake up. Possibly you actually did fall asleep and didn't realize it. This is very common in SP - and you don't always realize your body is paralyzed... you might have been asleep through the actual paralysis part.
I'm convinced you did have SP.
... How do you know? Did you try to move? That's the only way you'd know if you were paralyzed... it isn't like your muscles are rigid... they're relaxed. It's just that if you try to move you can't. And I was afraid to move until I realized I really was in my bed and facing the right way!Quote:

Hmmm... Maybe you are right. I didnt try to move so how could i know if i was not paralysed. As you said i felt relaxed. So relaxed that i didnt want to move. :) Ill try to achieve that experiance again, so i will be able to analyse it more. Thanks for replies guys :shadewink: ;) So if it realy was sleep paralysis that means i could easily get a lucid dream, right? :roll:
Body distortions like this are pretty common as you fall asleep. You normally only notice them if you make a point of paying attention (like during a WILD attempt). I sometimes feel myself flipping, or rotating around, or bending in impossible ways. It is hard to explain in words, since it is a physical feeling. Sometimes I feel like my head inflates to an enormous size. Many people feel themselves sinking into the bed or floating up towards the ceiling. Weird stuff.

Though you said "false" but I don't believe it's an OBE. According to some articles I've read, OBE's start off with you "floating out" off your body, unlike you who just felt you were sipping a cup of coffee in your table downstairs.Quote:

What you described is a common exit technique for an OBE. You felt the covers with your dream body much like you would in a dream. No one knows for sure if OBEs and Lucid Dreams are the same thing. In either case you were likely out of your body. The exit method is called the screwcap technique. You basically imagine you body spinning around 180. Then at this point you know you are totally non physical and therefore ready to exit your body.
