My dream sign is guns.. I was wondering if I happened to name my character in a shooter something that implies I'm dreaming currently. The name shows up every time I score or check the boards. Would it would have any effect on the possibility of getting a DILD? Thanks. =)
I was thinking about naming my character something like "GunsArentReal." I don't own guns, I don't need guns.. they aren't in my life. The only time I will see a gun is on the pc or in a dream.
Well, if you dream about your character a lot, then it can help you with DILD, so far as you do the intent to RC every time you see him or something alike, it should.
What's most important is that you do RC's whenever you play the game. Changing your name can be beneficial if you are reminded by it to RC. If that isn't the case, I don't think there's a point in changing it: you might see the changed name in a dream, but that doesn't make you lucid because there's no difference between that and seeing the name in waking life.
