      I'm back! =D

First post since, well, june 2008. lol. Yey, let's celebrate . Cool. Probably nobody remembers me, but that's allright. I shall not cry.

I had a spontanous lucid dream a couple of nights ago, which rekindled my interest for lucid dreaming, which has been... dormant. I've always had trouble with motivation. Usually I'm really, really motivated for 2 months, and then it dies out. No idea why. The concept of lucid dreaming is, as a matter of FACT, incredibly fascinating. Thus one should be motivated 24/7, but my brain does not seem to fully cooperate with me on this. Any tips?

Now I will try some WILDing, the rolls royce of methods, people say, though I have never once had success.

If I can just manage to get my ass out of bed and do WBTB, that'd be a good start. It usually happens that extreme laziness kicks in, and strikes me back to sleep, swiftly and forcefully.

      Cheers!
Currently practicing WILD. I quote Kaniaz who said it best: "The point of WILD is to piss me off". Though, I have not given up, far from it.

I'm the same way with motivation... I'm gonna be here for a month or two, then I will "take a vacation" and come back!

Your not the only one. I was here for 2 months or so then took a long break and now I'm back as well Welcome back, hopefully everything will work out this time around I'm also trying to WILD, join the club

Edit: You wanted a tip correct? Well, what is motivating me to get another LD even though my first one was over a year ago and was very short, is the idea of experiencing SP through WILDing. I mean I have had sensations of spinnings, vibrations, etc.... before and I really enjoy them. Also, the fact that you will use your sleep for something productive and do some things that you can't do in RL

Well welcome back. I also have been gone for a while and returned a little under a year ago. I just love this damn site and lucid dreaming Plus, the site is under new management and the owner has been doing a lot around here.

One way to get yourself out of bed is setting your alarm clock and putting it in a spot where you can't reach it from your bed. You know as in, you have to force yourself up in order to turn it off. That should wake you up a little. Maybe you should also turn up the volume if optional.

Another way involves drinking water before bed... which would make you want to get up after a REM period to use the bathroom but I don't exactly trust that I won't have a dream about using the bathroom. Sure that's what reality checks are for, but sometimes we just forget.

      Anyway... good luck
