Types of dreams?

So as long as I can remember I've always been able to Lucid dream.
I also have quite a few dreams where I feel the dream, smell the scents, feel the heat, wind... etc...

But lately, I have been having dreams where everything is similar but just off. Kind of like an episode of Sliders. :/ (which I haven't seen in years come to think of it, miss that show.)

I was wondering if dreams could give you glimpses into alternate lives, or different strings (if you believe in string theory).

The dream I just had that prompted me to join this forum involved my grandmothers old house, a foreclosure that never happened, and a group of college students who came to help move our stuff out whom i've never seen or met.

The most interesting thing about this dream, is that it's been following in a series of dreams that all involve the same thing. Like each dream I have is continuing down the dreams own timeline.

Thoughts? Comments? Criticisms?

I'm not sure I believe in alternate realities and whatnot, but it's interesting that your dream was continued in other dreams. I think that it would be cool to have a second life that continues in your dreams every night, but I'm not sure that's exactly what you were talking about...

That would be cool. If it is true, it would mean there must be some WEIRD alternate realities. Alternate realities where I ride winged polar bears and make love to my robotic twin :lol:
