You have to lucid dream when you are dreaming. If you fall asleep in class and start dreaming, then yes, you can lucid dream then.

      Hi, welcome to dreamviews.

Sadly, you can't LD at any time, it has to be during sleep. Though it is possible to enter a dream state through deep meditation, but that is rare.

Yup you could but you'd have to be well practiced and experienced in meditation, just as *reads name* Alex D said.

Dont even try LOL, it'd take years, and besides...your in school to LEARN, NOT HAVE FUN IN THA DREAM WORLD!

Attempting to have a lucid dream while awake or in a class is a bit impossible and stupid, unless it's okay to get all cosy and fall asleep during the middle of your Mathematics class or whatever.

Whats the differance between closing your eyes right now and picturing yourself jumping off a building, and the picture you get during REM? you seem to have a lot more controll while remaining concious

I suppose it is different for everyone. Myself, I have to be very well rested.

When you have you're eyes closed and you're picturing it, you're doing just that: picturing it. You are aware of yourself sitting in a chair thinking about it. When you do it during sleep, during a dream, especially during a lucid dream, you are jumping off that building.
