Discovered Lucid Dreaming, Have i had it before?

I discovered LD'ing a few days ago and have been fascinated with it since, i'm keeping a dream journal and attempting to improve dream recall to eventually be able to WILD.
Anyways, I know i have had dreams in the past where i recognize its a dream, i can only remember 2 of these.
One of them i knew it was a dream and it was peaceful and i could create whatever i wanted,
The second was me being chased by various monsters trying to wake myself up.
Both of these do not seem real at all and i can only remember them by vague descriptions in my head, but they usually take place in locations i am familiar with.
are LDs much clearer and life like than normal dreams and are these considered LDs?

Lucid just means aware. If you aware you are dreaming, it's a lucid dream. Vividness is a completely different quality of dreams.

Do they start to become more vivid as you get better at creating LDs?
This stuff seems really interesting but i have read about people feeling almost absolute realism in their LDs

If you were aware that you were dreaming, then it was a lucid dream.

Now about the vividness, thats something that you can train do get it better, but doesn't mean that you can't have a lucid dream without perfect vividness.

Creating lucid dreams. Interesting concept.

Some people, like King Yoshi, rate their levels of lucidity, control, and vividness in dreams. Reading dream journals like his will help you understand the difference and the relationship between the two.

I personally have had very vivid non-lucid dreams, blurry lucids, blurry non-lucids, and vivid lucids.

With lucidity, comes control. With control you can increase the vividness of your dreams.

(You can also have control without lucidity. Example: you fly in a non-lucid dream.)

The most realistic dreams I have had were ones that felt like Out-of-Body experiences. Sometimes I was aware I was "dreaming" and sometimes not. But, I always feel like a ghost in those experiences.

The best way to make dreams feel realistic is to focus on your senses.
First sight, concentrate on increasing vividness or clarity of dreams.
Then, work on touch, then smell, then taste. (Hearing seems to come naturally for everyone, as far as I know.)

By working on a sense, I mean touching a lot of things in a lucid dream, for example, then, tasting things. What's funny about tasting is you can eat anything. Take a bite out of a chair leg, for example.

What does the chair taste like? ;)
Kidding aside, I just wonder what is like to feel about something you have no experiences in real life. Does the feeling come from your own brain or somewhere we don't know?

Well, theoretically, everything that you experience inside of a dream, even lucid ones, comes solely from your brain, and whats on it. Even though I never tried to eat anything not edible in real life in a lucid dream (which I'll be very happy in trying soon) I'm sure that it'd taste familiar somehow.

I've had cases in which I experienced situations that I never experienced in real life during lucid dreams. That includes falling off tall buildings, getting shot, being on a plane crash, walking on quicksand, etc. and even though it seemed all new to me during the dream, I came to the conclusion that I only felt what I believe I would feel during such occasions. Well, at least that's my theory.

most of my dreams i don't even remember happening, i just feel like i wake up and i have some kind of memory i can barely remember, is this what it's like for most people? i feel like i never had control in dreams it was like i remember something

That happens because what happens in your dreams is not stored in the same part of your brain where the wake moments are. While you're asleep, that part isn't "turned on". That's why it is kinda hard to remember a whole dream, and it is so easy to forget it when you wake up.

It's normal at the beginning, but you can train yourself to be able to remind more and more of your dreams each time.
