Oreoboy's Hello
Hey people of this forum (or whatever I should call you :P). I've had a few lucid dreams over the last couple years, and I didn't start learning about them until about a week ago. Sadly I usually only become lucid during a nightmare. When that happens and I become lucid, I will instantly freeze time around whatever the threat is (like if a zombie was after me I would freeze time around it). I do like it though because it is an automatic reaction I have in most of my nightmares.
I'm going to try to use the tutorials here to try becoming lucid with out having to be in a nightmare first. :)
Some questions I have:
1. What are dream guides?
2. Why are my lucids usually triggered by nightmares?
3. What are your favorite dream control abilities?

Hey there, welcome. Hope you enjoy it here.
Most people on here believe that dream guides are either your spirit guide manifesting itself in your dreams, or just your subconscious presenting itself in the form of a dream guide. Feel free to read all aobut it on here and make up your own mind, I'm personally still not too sure either way.
I'm not too sure about nightmares trigging your lucid's, it could be a number of reasons. It could be that your nightmares are more out of the ordinary than what you would usually dream about and therefore easier to recognise as a dream?
I wouldn't say I have a favourite ability as such, but some of my favourite things I've done include, running really fast, punching people really hard and summoning people. The best thing for me is the feeling of peace and freedom that comes with an LD.
Hope I helped :)
