      Is this being lucid?

Hi everyone. This is my first post.

I had a dream a while ago where a payed for a smoothie with a 35 dollar bill. I said wait a second there aren't any thirty five dollar bills...

But I got distracted. I appeared in another room. Good thing I still had my smoothie, I paid 35 dollars for that

is this being in a lucid dream?

Also I have been trying really hard to become lucid. I do rc every so often, but with no results at night. My dreams are often short, and I don't remember them as soon as I wake up. My dreams are also really varied an normal. Th only thing I would considder to be a dream sign is school, but I've only appeared there twice out of the 2 or 3 months or so I've been trying this. Am I doing something wrong?

      Thanks for the help guys

      Hey there.

At any point in that dream, did you know it was a dream? If yes, then you were having a Lucid Dream. If not, it was a normal dream. As for what you've been doing, I would say your doing things right. Do you write the short dreams down? That could help tremendously. And if school is your sign, try and RC there the most and see if that helps.

Thats lucidity... at least it sounds like it is. You realized that there is no such thing as a $35 bill. Can you recall the President on that bill?

And write down you tiniest dreams... open a journal and even if its fragmented or just a feeling, write it down.
Click the door... and welcome to my dream world!

Oh uh I can't remember the president. I used to have a dream journal on my iPod but I deleted it. I'll start it back up then. Thanks both for the help.

Hey guys I'm new hear and also have a few questions/wierd things. I have 2 dreams to talk about.

1st one i had a dream then a scene change. In the second part of the dream i was telling someone about my previous dream without realising i was still dreaming (unfortunately)

2nd Another time i had a dream and was beginning to wake up with an image from my dream still in my mind. However i started to remind myself to write my dream down as i was waking.

Just was wondering if they are steps towards becoming lucid or anything. Thanks and loving the site. Peace
The idea is to be in a constant state of leaving while always arriving.

Well, the first dream is really likely to make you lucid. I have had dreams in which I'm talking to my friend about my past dream, and then I realize I have no idea how I got there, and do a RC, BAM I'm dreaming, good way to get a DILD.

The second dream, I'm not sure how this is different to any other dream. Well, any dream that yo uare having before you wake up. I usually wake up with the last drea mfresh in my mind, and write it down. However if what you mean is that you are still in the dream, and you are planning to write it down already, I guess that means you are semi lucid, this could give you a false awakening, or you could be prepared so that when you wake up you stay still and DEILD back into the dream.
