intro and question :-)

Hey all :-)

I've had a couple lucids, most of which have involved me being a dragon and flying around. I've recently become interested in lucid dreaming just for the fun of it.

I have decent dream recall; if I wake up and write something down, and I look at it later, I can pretty much remember the exact relevant details of the dream I was having. Having read various things about LDing in the past I attempted to WILD a couple times recently, one was almost a success but I was woken up by a dog barking :-( I have started a DJ and have a couple entries in it. I think I should be able to recall 10+ dreams a week easily.

I have a sort of random question that I fear might be a touchy subject. How do people feel about using a device to help induce lucidity? I won't link anywhere since putting links in a first post is pretty spammy, but the devices I'm thinking of (claim to) help signal to you that you're dreaming by detecting when you're in REM and using lights/beeps/both (which are interpreted in various ways inside the dream) to essentially "produce" dream signs for you. I'm wondering what forumites here think of the potential of these devices -- or even better, if anyone here has direct experience with one and can say they're great/OK/terrible.
