Going to try MILD tonight. To be honest I've been looking forward to it all day, but I can't keep the fear of having a nightmare out. I'm a pessimist so I expect everything in my first LD to go wrong, and on top of that I think I might just die if I get a nightmare during SP.
Any tips of reassurance?

You just have to realize that it's your dream and you can do pretty much anything you want. Don't let fear get in the way. Just try to be optimistic. Think that you are going to have an amazing lucid. I am pretty pessimistic myself, but I would never let my pessimism get in the way of having a potential awesome lucid. Lucid dreams are so great. Even if it did start out as a nightmare, you can easily make it stop.
I agree, one of the worst things you can do is believe you will have a nighmare, even before you sleep, if makes your mind want to be ready for it which may just give you a nightmare.. just think of it being fantastic and hope for the best.Quote:
