Tip #1: Keep working at becoming fully lucid. Enjoy the fact that you're recognizing that you're dreaming and take that as progress, but don't stop doing reality checks, writing in your DJ, or all in all working towards becoming lucid.

Tip #2: Before you to go sleep, decide what you want to do when you become lucid. Don't leave what you're going to do up to your dreaming mind. During the day, remind yourself of your intentions and go over them before bed. Say something specific such as, "When I realize that I'm in a dream I will... fly to Australia," or something like that. Then, when you do become lucid, act on your intentions quickly. Don't sit around and think if there is something better to do. Just do it and enjoy it!

Tip #3: Expect to succeed, but don't get upset if you don't become fully lucid with full control right away. You will improve, you will become lucid, and it will be awesome! Just enjoy the ride along the way.

      Hope this helps! Happy dreaming

I think I've been semi-lucid all my life. I've always had many dreams where I'm aware I'm dreaming and sometimes I can control what happens, not majorly, but enough to have fun. I didn't realise this was called lucid dreaming until I stumbled across the information about it today.

Also, in my dreams I can rewind time, ie if something happens that I don't like I can rewind time and chose another option. For example in my dream last night I was being chased by a plant's roots that were trying to capture me. I knew there was a treasure chest (like in Zelda) with a sword in it somewhere and I knew there was a doorway which lead to a safe city that was a bit closer. I decided to try for the sword but I got captured by the roots just before I got there. So I rewound time and ran for the door. I made it and started exploring the city but then I woke up. Does this type of thing happen often for anyone?
