Hi, I'm new obviously but recently I was in a dream which I enjoyed the most so I googled some methods to trigger the dreams I want and therefore stumbled upon Lucid Dreaming. Did a lot of reading and started keeping a dream journal.

Gordon, relax.
Lucid dreaming is NOT an easy or quick thing. It takes practice. You will fail if you go about whining that you didn't lucid dream last night. Just keep going; You have to have patience.
You can, and will lucid dream. Just be patient.
To speed this up would B6/B12/Choline help? I have dietary supplements which I should be taking which I am not but will if it helps. Also would bananas be a good source of B6?
When I dream I have no control on what I am doing. It is like a car that I can't tell to stop, it just keeps going.
In my dream I was on a boat. The boat was going to sink so I was packing my stuff with the essentials. There was this man and he opened his water bottle. When he did I woke up.
Before I fell asleep I told myself I would recognize that I was dreaming but when I went into my dream I couldn't control my body or look at my hands. It was so frustrating. Anyways I'm going to try eating stuff with B6 because apparently that helps people get LDs. Thanks for your reply.
It may or may not help. Results vary from person to person. Also, have you even tried any LD technique yet? If not, do that first. Otherwise doing all of this supplement mixing will only get you nowhere. Indeed is spot on; TAKE YOU TIME. There's no point in trying to speed up Lucid Dreaming when the process involves patience and practice. All it will get you is you feeling discouraged.
Also, I don't know who told you B6 helps with getting lucids. That's wrong. It helps with recall.
Well I don't know if this is a legit method but I've started keeping a dream journal so I can remember my dreams obviously. Before I go to sleep I tell myself that I am going to recognize that I am asleep and that I am only in a dream. I drew a lambda λ on my hand (from Half Life :P) so that whenever I enter a dream I'll look at it and it won't be there and then I'll remember it is not a dream.
I don't know if I'm trying DILD or WILD because I don't feel or remember the transition from wake to sleep so I guess that is WILD. Also, whenever I enter a dream I have no control over my body until I know what's going on. I had a dream where I was packing things in my bag and while I was doing so it was very blurry so I looked around and realized I was on a boat and when I finished my realization I turned back and I was no longer packing my bag but there was a man and a woman sitting at a table and that is when I woke up.
Also also.. :)
Is it possible to have a dream in the 3rd person where the person you're watching is not you or you are not present at all? I had a dream where I was watching Achilles and Prince Hector talking even though the movie Troy wasn't even on!
Anyways thanks for your reply, means a alot.
