Yeahhhhh!
So i had my first lucid y'all, well, kinda, i realised i was dreaming so i checked my hands, and they were kinda "shifting" is this right?
well anyway, i got so excited in my dream that i closed my eyes and woke up =/
any pointers on extending this experience?

Ah. Seems alot like my first one. Accept I always heard that even if you are aware the logical part of your brain isnt fully working so you can get distracted easily and loose lucidity. A way to remedy this is suposed to be something like simple math which is what I did. I tried to stay calm and and do simple math so I dont get distracted easily. But I got too excited and lost lucidity soon. Amazing how your brain can project life-like images soo easily.

I have no trouble in a lucid dream, i just can't induce them. The sparse few that i've experienced are in my life are completely random. Every time i try to LD i don't really get anywhere with it. I can't really say i only LD when i don't try, because that's a pretty broad category. I have found that most of my LD's have occured in the morning, when i wake up very early, and continue to fall asleep several times for about hour incriments. It's not something i try to control, its just generally what i do in lazy mornings, which is just about all of them in the summer. Do you think i could just set a bunch of alarms around these times? Or would my tendency to fight induction cloud the result?

Well I just get up early and go back to sleep on purpose. The dreams you remember are the ones that you experience close to waking up.

Ok i think that's good advice. I'm gonna go for wakin up early tomorrow.

Congrats on your lucid :shadewink:
You just need to stabilize. For me, I need to immediately focus on something like a tree. It is called "lucid dreaming" because you are aware and dreaming, therefor, you need to really be aware to have a good lucid. Listen, look, feel, smell/taste if you like.
You can practice this while you are awake too. I may recommend this since dreams mimic us well.

Try focusing on one thing and calm down. That first LD experience can be a bit overwheming and cause you to wake. Consentrate on rubbing your hands. Congrats tho!
