Was this a (short) lucid dream?

I could remember 3 dream for last night, but i just realized something. (this might be a 4th one)
I am very confused about this.
I woke up in the middle of the night and i was wondering if the conversation that i had really happened or not.
I supposedly had a conversation over msn with someone i know and she said "good luck." i said "with what" she answered "the dreaming" i said "how do you know, from the forum?" she said yes.

when i waked up and remembered this, i did reality checks and i was really awake, but i still thought that that conversation really happened, because i waked myself up with alarms a few times, and i might have done it when still half asleep. but the only thing i really did was check my mails on my ipod and drink some water.
so i am wondering, did i have a lucid dream??? what happened exactly :p i am sooo confused.

No, you did not have a lucid dream.

A lucid dream is when you realize you are dreaming, DURING the dreaming, not afterward.

If you don't log or burn a dream into your head you will forget parts of it fast. That said, you're just realizing how realistic dreams are and just started to forget it.
