Awareness?
Hey DV community, quick question. I've learned to keep myself aware during the day and to try not to get lost in thought. I play alotttttt of video games, so, my question is, is when I play games, is it the same as losing myself in though and not being "aware" of the moment?
And also, I do a good many RC's everyday but I don't really feel like mean it, just like a mindless, "am I dreaming?" thought an a RC, is this still effective?

Be aware in your video game if you dont you wont.

one can be aware of many things. one can be more present then the other while playing a game.
yet the game is a world of designed experiences of winning and losing, a world limited by conditions.
being absolutely in the here and now is not just to be aware of the moment - it is to be aware of life itself. to be aware of the natural self.
we are highly domesticated beings, and for many reasons we forgot how to be natural. there is a deeply imprinted picture of how things have to be and the convulsive attempt to reach this picture, mostly because of conditions we have created.
to be absolutely in the here and now – is not responding to the game any more. not limited by conditions, a being wich is truly natural. naturally living beyond this concept in different dimensions. naturally knowing there is no separation between character and game.
it is every being's right to live in a natural way, indeed, it is of great difficulty to do so within the disrupted and distorted world and self. that is the greatest human barrior. knowledge is available here, yet one must know how to operate himself correctly, in order to direct towards that wich knowledge is pointing towards.
it is to face fear, to unveil reality and facets of oneself, to move through the many dimensions – one must re-emerge a warrior-like aspect from within, a genuine selfhood and sovereignty with a burning flame.

Its more like being aware of whatever your doing. Whatever keeps your mind at bay is being aware. For example, if you are playing the video game, be in the game. Be aware of what you are doing in the game and don't be lost in thought and mindlessly play.

I have a hard time maintaining awareness during some activities, also. When I am deep in a painting, or immersed in a book, I often lose track of myself. I think it is part of the experience, and wouldn't have it any other way. As long as you keep a good balance, and maintain awareness during other activities, you will be fine.
I don't like movies for a similar reason. I am too aware during movies, and can't lose myself in the experience. I can't suspend reality and become immersed in the movie the way you're supposed to. It ruins the movie watching experience for me (and, sometimes, everyone around me  ).
