Woo hoo - kind of a cheap one but......

I know I shouldn’t get too excited over something so minimal, because it was so short, I didn’t know what I should do and didn’t seem to be able to ‘do’ anything of my own volition…..

BUT IT WAS LUCID TIME BABY…..

I was sitting at a computer screen (a rather large screen) and I’m scrolling for something on the internet. Weird there was no keyboard to use, but I was still able to scroll for whatever I wanted from on the screen.

Then suddenly, the screen sort of froze up and I’m trying to scroll whole pages of information, and the screen starts getting larger. And I stop and think, “This definitely isn’t right.”

So I think – reality check stupid. I go to pinch my nose (this should be a simple task), but I’ve got fat finger syndrome. And I mean literally my fingers and thumb are too large for normal. And I wind up half the time trying to plug my nose by shoving a thumb and finger up my nostrils. This was frustrating. Finally, I managed to pinch my nose off. And I could breathe just fine.

I thought in my dream, okay I’m lucid, now what. Then it hit me, “I’m LUCID”. Suddenly I couldn’t see. It’s like I had shut my eyes and couldn’t open them. I couldn’t spin, couldn’t walk or move for that matter. I just didn’t know how.

I was getting disappointed fast, because I wanted to be able to do something fun. I found myself floating into a shower that I was remodeling in our motel, and I’m getting closer and closer to the corner that I hadn’t grouted because I was going to caulk instead. I feel like I’m shrinking so that I can fit into the crack in the tile. All the while I’m thinking, this isn’t what I want to do while I’m lucid.

It’s like okay I’m know I’m dreaming, but I’m still not the one in control here. Why can’t I control what’s going on?

I wake up. I’m happy for the lucid, but it’s bittersweet because there was no control on my part. I really don’t even feel like classifying it as lucid. Seems kinda cheap. But I suppose it’s a first step?

Anybody else ever have that happen?

yes man is totally common especially if its your 1st lucid dream its simply because u were like half lucid( your mind wasnt fully aware that you were lucid) there are different typrs, for example in my lucid dream i know a 100% that i am lucid but i think the characters in my dream are real even thou im aware that im dreaming. see what i mean? because my brain isnt fully aware yet. once you are fully aware you can dooo everything change surroundongs and the best part manipulate and control your dream characters!!!!!!! so dont worry this stuff is very common once you are lucid and you are aware just relax and focus ( usually if you get too overwhelmed things can go out of control) so again relax and have fun!!! =D

in fact last night i was lucid dreaming
half way through though i remember only watching my dream as if i didnt control it.
turns out i was only half lucid and lost lucidity when i stopped thinking about it in my dream.
i was able in that short period of time
try to fly
failed so i jumped oof the side of the ship i was on
fell into the water still able to breath
and imagined i had super powers and blasted myself into the air
from there i lost lucidity

Sounds like you can't stop thinking about that shower. That happens to me when I'm really into a project. I'll dream about it even if I don't want to.
