Slight Lucid Dream or Out of Body Experience!?!?

      Hi guys,
This morning about 6am i had a normal dream, kinda vivid but the dream transitioned to me lying in bed as if i was awake but my body was asleep. So then i was lying still and felt sleep paralysis hitting me, my head started sinking into my pillow and almost couldn't breath until i told myself that its only in my head. and then my body started sinking into my bed but not all the way through. Then from some previous research i attempted to turn my dream body like a safety cap and stood up!!! and there was my dream body lying in bed!!! It felt very real at the moment! Then for some reason I was laughing at my dream body in some arrogant way... some thoughts crossed my mind that if i leave my body alone that some demon my posses it! lol but forgot about it and went out my flat and tried to fly but couldn't! As I try to jump i only go about 6 feet in the air. Then my dad came out of the house and as he was opening the house back door to go outside I was trying to scare him for some reason but he didnt respond. Then he was busy knocking on my flats door to wake me up and I quickly went into my sleeping body to wake up, and then after i woke up I was back in my real body but it was stil a dream! and in that dream i woke up to tell him that I just tried to scare him in my "out of body Experience" and then I woke up for real!

So my question: Was this a lucid dream or Out of body Experience?
I never had a lucid dream before neither a "OOBE"
Some feedback would be much appreciated

      Thanks

Well, I don't know much about OBEs, but I can tell you that if you realised it was a dream, then it was lucid.
I'm not really sure what defines an Out of Body Experience, so I won't comment on that.

Well, Lucid dreaming didnt cross my mind when it happened but the idea of being out of my body and seeing myself lying on bed was very interesting and felt so real, but I guess i have to look more into dream control right???

Well, basing on what I've heard in the past, it certainly sounds like an OBE.
It sounds like an interesting experience.

Although, if you were lucid, I don't blame you for not taking control over that kind of situation. Being amazed and in shock would no doubt make it harder to take control, or full control anyways.

I'm sure if you ever have a normal lucid dream, you would be able to control it just fine.

Thanks man, as you said, i think the whole OBE experience messed with my conscious of being lucid. But the weird thing is that my dad did wake up about 6am to go outside when i asked him afterwards... but he didnt try to wake me though, maybe i heard his thoughts lol
