      Incense

Does anyone here use incense. I just bought a lifetime supply of it and now i'm burning it 24/7 in my room.

Where the fuck do you even go to buy a "lifetime supply" of incense?

      I'm wondering this too...

Just how much is a lifetime supply, anyway?

I like to, but my dad's a bit of a douche about it. He once said something about it being unhealthy, then yelling at me for "making the whole house smell like smoke", which is complete bullshit. The smell was mostly contained in my room, an if you buy high-quality hand dipped sticks like I do you don't really smell any smoke. Now I mostly just do it when he's going to be away for a while. I figure, if I get back into meditation I'll ask my dad to let me use it when I meditate.

If I had money for incense, I'd use it.

Well the stuff I got isn't the highest quality shit, but it's decent. I bought 3,000 sticks of it for $15 at Summer-fest. Not really a lifetime supply, but if I burned one after the other continuously, it would take about 125 days to burn it all up.

Do you guys know any good quality brands of incense? From what I've seen, Nag Champa is kinda like the Coco-Cola of incense. Also, how do you guys burn it? I really want to get one of the boxes for it, right now I'm just sticking it in a sand filled vase. I wanna get one like this:

31519 - Pewter Finish Dragon Coffin Incense Box

Or they even have "smokers" like this:

WN1105 - Purple Rainbow Dragon Incense Smoker

I love incense. Our local "Head Shop" sells Wild Berry brand for 20 sticks for $5.00. It's excellent hand-dipped quality and doesn't give me a headache. The cheaper brands do- without fail.
I have a box burner, but I usually just use a standard burner (long and flat).

Is there a difference between incense and that good smelling oil lamp stuff you can find at Wlamart?

Hmm, maybe it is just the cheap brands that are hurting me head. I'd need to find a really nice incense though, to enjoy it. All the others creep me out.

Well, here's the difference: good incense leaves little or no smoke smell, spreading a pleasant scent to the area. Bad incence makes people think you've started a fire.

The headshop up the street from me sells really good ones at 2$ for 10.

      I use these:

They're used in most ceremonies in south east asia, I like the smell and I when I buy them in Cambodia I pay practically nothing (maybe 50 cent for 100?). I just checked out the prices, if you would let them be shipped,.. well it's a lot more expensive then

i enjoy incense. I buy packs of them all them at walmart or the local head shop or pier one. as for the holders, i usually make my own. i've made them out of cigar boxes, glass bottles, just whatever is lying empty around the house. my dad thought i was smoking weed whenever i was burning incense, lol....but i was, so....

The evening hangs beneath the moon, a silver thread on darkened dune.
With closing eyes and resting head; I know that sleep is coming soon.

Upon my pillow, safe in bed,
A thousand pictures fill my head,

      I cannot sleep , my mids aflight;
and yet my limbs seems made of lead.
