What I've got from the replies so far:
One says it's 4chan, another suspects it's a group trying to make people afraid and spread their existence Internet-wide though maybe not entirely 4chan, ninja concurs with my confused state, Xei is confused on the dating system (lol: 3rd month/19th day/2013), and others are confused as to what it is too.

How about you folks who have that date in your signatures? How about you educate us?

I doubt 4chan could be behind it... their forum is public right, so they can't plan some kind of secret scheme without everybody seeing?

Just did a Wikipedia search on eBaum's World, found out about copyright controversies, and that's about it. Went to the actual site, and it looks a little crazy 'round there.

Okay, so for clarification, the date is specific for what purpose? They're just saying it? Or is something planned to happen then? Or is it the date of another apocalypse theory?

I was hoping you'd post. Okay, now that we're done with sensationalist side of things, where'd you assimilate this "cryptic message" from? I mean, if you're sporting it on your sig, you must have some belief in it and/or that you understand it to a degree.

I am merely a messenger. A simple pawn who spreads this message wherever I can. I believe in this message, and the power it contains. The world would do well to heed its warning.
The source of the message is a bit of a mystery, too. Some have labeled the Illuminatus as the original "keeper" of the message. It is rumored that a few historians have uncovered unusual symbols on cave walls that point squarely to this date. It has even been suggested that cryptographers decoded this message from space. I dunno where this message came from, but I know it is growing.

Maybe it's when Diablo 3 will come out.
