I moved a few months ago and pot is a lot harder to find in my new area, so I've been thinking about trying K2. Has anyone tried it? How potent is it really, will a bowl make me as high? And how expensive is it in comparison to the real stuff?

I don't know any specifics, but a friend of mine said the effects were really similar to weed. However, he had only toked once or twice before trying k2, so I took it with a grain of salt.
Be careful taking it, it sounds like it could be dangerous

“Like playing Russian Roullette”
John Huffman, a professor of organic chemistry at Clemson University, developed the chemical substances found in K2, JWH-018 and JWH-073, in 1995 while doing research on the effects of cannabinoids on brain.
He’s not sure how the recipes got picked-up, but he is taken aback in how they are being used.
“The real problem is that we really don’t know anything about it,” he said during a phone interview from his office in Clemson, S.C. Consuming it “is like playing Russian Roullette.”
USA Today in a report on K2 quoted Anthony Scalzo, director of the Missouri Poison Center in St. Louis, as saying that since he notified poison centers nationwide about K2 in early February following reports of sick patients in Missouri, poison centers nationwide have had more than 350 reports of illnesses from it. Patients often have a rapid heart rate, dangerously high blood pressure and sometimes hallucinations or paranoia, the USA Today story said.
Huffman said the active ingredient in K2 can be 10 times as potent as marijuana, and in large doses can cause hallucinations and disorientation that can last for days. He said he got an e-mail from a young woman who smoked K2 and said she was disoriented for a week and felt electric shocks pulsating up and down her back.
Ok, reading the article, who the hell is calling this spice? Hate to bum these people out but that name's FUCKING TAKEN.
Back on topic, I wouldn't trust this stuff, it just doesn't sound like the kind of stuff you want to be putting in your body. I may be wrong, since it seems as usual legislators are more apt to throw it right out than to actually find out how it works and if it's dangerous. But untill more is known about it, I wouldn't use it.
I smoked K2 for a period of time when I couldn't really smoke weed. It was a kind of weird high and only lasted like an hour. It could be scary though if too much was smoked. I had tightening in my chest and my heart rate sky rocketed a few times. I thought I was going to die. Nobody really knows what other chemicals are being put into K2, so I wouldn't bother with it. I quit after feeling like shit a couple of times.
Fuck that then. Luckily I found some nice safe marijuana, so I'll just smoke that :)
Congrats. It always takes a little while in new places.
Yeah K2 usually contains the cannabinoid JWH-018, which is extremely carcinogenic. From experience just stick with the pot, the K2 and Spice does the job right, but can leave you with headaches and just feeling like crap overall. Hopefully you found yourself some good stuff
