just going to rant a little.

i was dating a guy and he was absolutely amazing. he would open my car door for me, and always paid no matter how much i fought him on it, haha. he's a lot older than me (he's 33, i'm 22) and he's got two kids. things were going really good, then he just stopped seeing me. he'd still text me all the time and say that he missed me, and we'd make plans to hang out, but something always came up on his end and he'd bail. one day i got a text from him promising me he'd see me that weekend. well that weekend came and he bailed again. he wouldn't respond to me at all. my friend had his number and he didnt know it. she said "how dare you do this to her. i'm so disappointed in you." and he responded to her saying "who the fuck is this?" i told him that i was hurt and everything, and i still haven't heard from him. that happened two weeks ago. i just want to chew him out and let him know what he did to me. i'm heart broken. even his friends say he's not the same. that right before he and i started dating that he quit playing his music, and quit seeing his friends, and then he and i started to date and he started being himself again, and then out of nowhere, he's back to being a recluse. i'm worried and i dont know what to do.

Be less dependent. Lead by example; stay rational.

Also get better typing skills.

I have this sneaking suspicion that he's married, if he's got two kids, is so much older than you AND he's secretive.

Well, since he is showing wide swings in personality, I would bolt. Obvious mental problems you cannot cope with.

Even if he is, as above, married, it is a mental problem. A sane person does not even think about cheating.

A real relationship is about a future, and a life, not about the night.

Stop seeing him. Delete his number off of your cell phone, and move on. Don't talk to him again, and don't fill the void of not being in a relationship with another relationship. This guy is bailing on you because he's got other girls on his team. He's going to try to keep just enough contact with you just in case plans A, B, C, D, E, ect are busy. Just move on, and make sure you don't find someone like that again.

This is what happens 90% of the time when girls go out with much older guys. This is because guys who go out with much younger girls have issues or are just in it for sex.

I do not know the stats, but my last wife was 30 years younger than I. I told her right off, I would not bring her home unless it was to get married, have kids, and raise a family as best as we could.

Neither of us knew that she had a thyroid problem. This causes personality issues, at any rate, it ended up costing the life of our youngest son. That is why I am a single parent.

It has nothing to do with age, not physical age. It has to do with what wants out of life. To accomplish something, or just exist. I have believed in family ever since I can remember, nothing that has happened to me in life has ever changed that.

He never pressured me for sex, and I never did have sex with him. I know for a fact that he's divorced because I'm really good friends with one of his coworkers. And I've always been very independent. I've supported myself pretty much my entire life.

He might also be on drugs or something. Maybe he cleaned up his act when he met you but then eventually fell back into old habits. Could also be drinking, or gambling. The result is more or less the same.

Sounds like a keeper.

MollyMolly, the guy might be on drugs, he might have Borderline Personality Disorder, and he might be a very inconsiderate womanizer. He might be all three. Whatever the case is, he has no excuse for treating you so coldly. The way he has treated you is flat out despicable, and he does not come even close to deserving you. Shut him out, even if he comes back begging. He blew it... big time, and he can never be trusted not to blow it big time again.

You are only 22 (me too! heh), you should really enter the dating world while you are still young and single and find a husband that's right for you gurrrl! MMMMMK *snap* *snap*. You are a woman and can have all sorts of kids, but as soon as you have that first one you're done for, mmmhmmmm :panic: and you gotta realize that once it's done and you hear your baby's supple little first coo, the cry ain't nothin' because the real storm is headed your way: you gotta deal with the baby's daddy for the rest of your entire life until death does his thing and let me tell you it makes death a happy bastard watching you live a long, burdensome life. Why is it that so many innocent people die young and quick but it's the boisterous debutante and her dysfunctional relationships which live as long as a giant tortoise?
