      How Fast Can You Type?

      Just a general "boast about how fast you can type" topic. I felt like posting it.

      Anyway, I type at 125WPM (just) and can type out the lyrics of any song as it is played.

      It took me a long time though, 6 years, to reach the speed I'm at. I didn't have any typing lessons or anything, I just..use the computer alot.

      wow, thats fast. I'll test myself one day.

      Question: Do you type the correct way? like the way your computers made you type with your fingers on the main letters. It's hard to explain it. If you dont get it, I'll describe it more.

      I type around 80wpm...

      I remember worrying about have to being able to type 40wpm for 10th grade typing class. Then I met the computer.

      I don't type fast enough.
      I have a problem. My fingers miss the keys the most when I concentrate on my typing. The best is not to think about the keys you hit and you'll most likely hit the right ones. Plus I'm using my cruddy laptop keys. They are slippy and too low. So am not sure how fast a type. Anyone have a website I could check?

      i know i use to type 80-90 wpm...its prolly gone up, but ive never typed the 'correct' way...homekeys R teh suxxor ive always used point and peck w/ 3 of my fingers on each hand, ppl in my old school always yelled at me for it, but i could type faster than they could, so ive never seen the point in homekeys...homekeys are for the weakminded sheep of the world! rargh!

      I type between 60 and 65 w.p.m. with less than 5% error. Question for those of you typing over 100 wpm. Are you all using the standard QWERTY keyboards or some other format. Because I find that hard to believe if you are typing with the standard keyboard
