Once when my parents and I were in France, we saw this little kitty in the streets, and then this man came up to us and asked if we wanted to have it -- I wanted it of course, but my Dad said no. I didn't speak to him for the rest of the trip. >_<
meh i was going to my grandmother wendsday and we pasted a dieing possoum on the side of the road my dad stoped and picked it and it was squriming around .....my sister started to cry and we left it.
on the way back we pasted and there were ravens on top of it....but my sis didnt see......
i like ravens.....
Could have been worse...imagine seeing a dead bum in the street? What happens to bums when the die? I've always wondered that.
poor kitty :(
I'm sorry. That sucks. I honestly get sadder when animals die in movies than when people die...is that wrong??
One time I was driving to school...and I usually brake for birds...or any animal at that...but it was wet out and there was someone right behind me and the damn bird just flew up in my grill...POOF!!! A big burst of feathers. It was awful. I've also killed a squirrel...and almost drowned a baby duck (but I was like 4).

LOL!
i saw a cat sprawling in the middle of a busy street once. it was crying, and trying to crawl to the curb. it couldn't. i could see his front legs moving, and his tail was moving erratically. next time i saw it was still, and much flatter. it was really sad, especially hearing it cry.
i almost took out a coyote this one time i was canyon carving in the middle of the night. i was going about 70mph, and just managed to swerve out of the way. idiot should have look both ways before crossing.
Supposedly they're picked up after a while, and buried in a nameless grave in a government area. But I don't know how often their bodies are found.Quote:

Wouldn't cremation be much less expensive then putting them on goverment soil? I think the goverment needs to start cremating the homeless people.
I'm pretty sure they do. For health and fiscal reasons.
Occupation: Bum Burner.
heh.
This was a really depressing post until you came along, Kaniaz :DQuote:

My dad said that once he was in traffic and a car (not his) hit a cat and it jumped about 20 feet in the air. Then it jumped about 10 feet, then 5, and then died. I'd probably start to cry... after I stopped gawking.
I think we are more sad when animals die becuase for humans, death seems natural (except for unnatural death :P ) while we can't think of our "precious Fluffy" biting the dust. Humans on movies are strangers, while one animal can represent them all, including the ones close to us.

Yes it is and yes they do, unless of course the homeless person has a next of kin able to afford and claim the burial rights.Quote:

I was a "Bum Burner" apprentice at one time...I only lasted 2 weeks due to the intolerable work conditions. Basically, my job was to clean the chutes + furnaces, hose + disenfect the walls and floors and assist in the transport of the body from the prep room to the furnace room.Quote:

The reason why I quite (other than the putrid smell of burning flesh) was the time I had to clean one of the main furnaces after they had cremated an extremely obese woman. We had 3 furnaces on site...2 large ones for adults and a small one for children and animals.
She was well over 400 pounds and was so large that she couldn't fit into either of the large furnaces, so what they did was they sawed off both of her arms and burned them separately in the smaller oven. However, her armless body was still a very tight fit, yet they proceeded with the cremation.
Her body was so close to the sides of the furnace wall that as she burned, sections of fat/flesh boiled and popped off her body and stuck to the sides and ceiling of furnace. We ran the furnace several times after her removal, but the burnt flesh was not coming off...so I had to lie on my back with a wire brush and paint scraper and chisel away.
I quit 2 hours into the process. :undecided:
InTheMoment, that, by far, tops my list of the most disgusting things I've ever heard.
:barf: <------ very close to that.Quote:
