Then, as they pass you, turn and walk in step with them. Say nothing.

Follow home and rape kill

You can try an alteration to your appearance.. For example, a friend of mine chose to go running in a public place with a pair of tight red speedos on. I, on the other hand, painted my skin red and wore not but pants. The latter ended up with an encounter with the police. You might not want to look dangerous.

Try a mohawk.

You can think of things. You have a creative mind yourself. You are just afraid of your own mind. This is why you want to do this project; to free your mind.

Ask yourself this question. To say you can't think of anything is just silly.

Eat chicken with vanilla ice cream on it.

My sociology teacher mentioned this a few days ago: enter a crowded elevator, and instead of turning to face the door remain facing towards the people, make eye contact and give a friendly smile.

Generally maintaining eye contact with strangers for long amounts of time is a good way to break norms. Might backfire.

Try small things, you have to know about the counter effects first. By being a woman, this can be really dangerous...

Go to train/bus/place with lots of people. Wait for place to get awkwardly quiet. Sing very loudly and horribly.

Simple - avoid wearing clothing in public.

Or, instead of holding the door open for someone, slam it in their face.

I need to violate a social norm for my Social Psych project, but I can't think of any social norm to violate. I did think of using the men's bathroom, but I don't have enough courage to do that.

Thanksgiving is coming up. At the end of Thanksgiving dinner, stand up and thank the family members who cooked it, then pull out your wallet, begin thumbing through it, and ask them how much you owe them for such a fine meal. "Fifty dollars? No? Seventy-five?" You must be as sincere as possible.

Another good idea is to open up a thread in which you ask a question and never return to respond to it.

In fact, you can never* return to it three times.

*About a day or so's worth of time.

How about maintaining eye contact with people walking towards you as you walk down the street instead of being interested in the surroundings.

Or walking next to somebody you don't know instead of at a safe distance from them. They will probably try to subtly adjust their walking speed to get ahead or fall back, but you must match them.
