thank you everyone so much for your kind words :) it's really helping me out. i keep thinking i have to check on her to make sure she's ok, it'll just take time before that instinctial part of me goes away and i can accept that she's happily happing at rainbow bridge, hehe :D

I'm so sorry for everyones losses , i remember when my dog was put down i shouted all night and couldn't stop crying just try and remember happy times and cry happy tears not sad tears. Losing an animal is soo hard because there sooo loyal and there always be your best friend.

We had Bailey cremated and I picked up her ashes on my birthday so she's home with us. I miss her but I know I did the right thing so that helps.

We lost a dog about two years ago. Wile in the hospital I took some water from our house for her to drink so she could remember the taste of water from home. I thought it would help her to heal, but the next day she died anyway. We had her cremated and her ashes are with us today. Truly they are someone who is aware

Yes...I do know what it is like to lose someone very close to you.. A few years ago, my orange long-haired tabby died, but it wasn't nearly as hard as it was only a little over a year ago.... I had a boyfriend, & he was just the cutest. I knew him since 3rd grade, & although he was badly disabled (he was paralyzed from the neck down from a stroke, he couldn't talk, see, & he couldn't even chew, but he could hear), we became instant friends when we 1st met.
Last year, I gave him a big beautiful rose for Valentines Day, & he was so cute. We watched a movie together & held hands :smitten: , but this was the last time in physical time I ever saw him again :damnit: (reason 2 of why I hate touching guys).
That one night that I thought we were just having a Sci-fi, I should have realized something was wrong. I look back then & remember that his sash looked like it had been cut off. Then maybe I wouldn't have cried on my way back to my bed :cry: (back then, I did not understand about sashes, & what happened when they were cut off, b/c he was the only other Sci-fi'er that had them w/me)
So I know how you feel!!! I have a lost loved one, & we were just as serious w/each other as Gothlark & Ramu are w/each other.....
