YouTube - Lucid Dream (Parody of Teenage Dream - Katy Perry - Official Music Video)
It's a "Katy Perry - Teenage Dream" parody, but it's about lucid dreaming. I thought it was pretty funny, but probably because it was about lucid dreaming. Enjoy the video!
P.S I had one last night and had my first false awakening, and when I woke up for real I realized I need to start doing RC's whenever I wake up from now on.
Sort of funny. An interest in lucid dreaming after watching Inception is probably common lately. I just hope it doesn't become too popular.
In general, though, I only like parodies that make fun of the songs themselves, or the artists, like BarelyPolitical's parodies (like this Bad Romance one YouTube - Lady Gaga: Bad Romance parody (feat. Lord Gaga) #6 is funny because it makes fun of Lady Gaga's obvious attempts to be weird).
This LD one wasn't really making fun of anything. It just described an experience and put it to the tune of Teenage Dream. So there was little funny about it to me, except for the humor that comes with knowing what the video is talking about. That "It's funny because I get it" phenomenon. The only part I laughed a bit at was near the end when he falls off the bed.

When something becomes mainstream it feels cheapened to me. And I like the fact that I have insight into an amazing world that most people don't. Those are entirely selfish reasons, of course. If I could choose to press a button that would make the world less ignorant of lucid dreaming and make it become mainstream, I would. My sense of morality would make me choose what I think would benefit others, even though on some level I wouldn't like it.Quote:

Interestingly, the "Oh My God" bit looked almost exactly like the way I see things in an LD. Good song, not funny at all but decent lyrics
