I watched a documentary about these guys recently. They truly are insane.

I love anonymous.

Disturbing the peace surely can't be legal in any state?

The first amendment protects any rights... even if what's going on would fall under disturbing the peace

Unfortunately, people use the amendments for the wrong reasons

I was watching the news earlier and the reporters said that if the City wants to get involved and stop the protesters then that is their right as well. I never heard of that, but if its true then I hope they do something about these people.

No it doesn't. These lunatics have been arrested many times for it. "Freedom of speech" is not absolute, and the Bill of Rights never says that it is.

For a bunch of teenage hackers, they did pretty good breaking into that site, I'm impressed that they got firewall admin access. Are they real hackers now? A year ago they were just a bunch of kids with no real hacking ability.

They broke into HBgary and Stole 60 000 emails. And keep in mind HBgary is a security company that was suppose to take anonymous down. So yeah, they are real hackers.

If everyone is so up in arms about it, how about going and picketing their houses, or better yet burn the houses down and shoot the bastards.

You're right. People keep giving them attention and they keep getting on the news. But I still can't help myself and talk about it anyway. I came across this Anonymous article and felt like I had to share it because these bullies got bitchslapped.

Anonymous isn't a group of hackers by any means. It's not even a group. Anonymous talks about itself using "we" as if it is a group so I see the source of confusion. But there is no hierarchy, no administrators, no leaders. Anonymous shares no common goals or beliefs. There are only people and hackers who claim to be part of Anonymous, and who do things like this in the name of Anonymous. Individuals will always claim to be a leader of Anonymous but there are no true leaders, only doers and followers.

There is an Anonymous IRC but it is by no means official, and by and large filled with people who think it's some sort of group. Occasionally people who get it use the IRC to coordinate hacks in the name of Anonymous.

If they picketed one or more of your loved ones' funerals, are you sure you'd ignore them? Yelling and stamping with their picket signs, protected by the police.

They will not go away. Their beliefs are fuelled by taking action.

If we let this go on for too long, we may see the new Hitler pretty soon. You can't deny they won't try to go farther. Pic related.
