      older rock bands

      I can,t wait...deep purples coming to Toronto feb.26..i,v always been a fan but never seen them yet...yeah I know their not all original members of the band ..but I heard they are a tight ,loud rockin band also Thin Lizzy will be opening up for them...another old smoking rock band....yeah I like a lot of old rock bands...funny how many of them have colour in their names...deep purple,pink floyd,black sabbath,white snake,blue oyster cult,red ryder,black crows,red hot chille peppers

      I still listen to all that stuff,except for the dead..I don,t care much for that..you like any old Canadian rock bands....triumph,rush,the guess who,Neil Young,april wine,David Wilcox..those are some I like

      Okay, I'll give you Led Zep, The Beatles, Floyd, and CCR. but the rest.. NAAAH. Black Sabbath WAS sort of cool, but not as cool as Deep Purple. XD

      Yes is one of the better progressive rock bands..the drummer Bill brewford was in another band I listen too called King Krimson..Jethro tull is a unique and original sound..I love locamotive breath..We can never say enough about Hendrix.He was in a league of his own..What about the master of slow hand guitar..Eric Claptin...he still rules to this very day!

      Ok My post was written in a hurry and i didnt mention others that i like...

      Jethro Tull... especially songs from the woods...
      Jimi-- "Kind of overrated" but still good
      Cat Stevens... Man if only he didnt go all Yusuf Islam hed be still Jammin

      Don't forget Emerson Lake and Palmer!!!

      They put on one of the best stage shows of anyone at the time. I can remember watching them live in 1973 on Don Kirchner's Rock Concert. Simulcast in stereo to the local FM station.


      Oh yeah, can anyone say Moody Blues?
      how about Bob Dylan, Black Sabbath, AC/DC?

      BTW: I listened to Marley just today!

      well, I still love them, but I mean I used to LOVE them. like, favourite band. now Emperor is my favourite, and soon, most likely, it will be Peccatum. or I could love them both equally...considering Peccatum is Ihsahn and his wifes band. m/
