Which is my rant

Snuffanuff was howling outside my window. I opened the AC slat to calm him and tell him to be quiet and go to bed, but he didn't show up which signified he couldn't. Ugh. I got out of bed, went outside and sure enough, Dingus had royally tangled himself around the porch steps. He kept choking himself as I undid his jerry-rigged collar (runner wrapped around his neck, linked about itself then attached to the loop of his actual collar). But, it didn't take long and now he's inside.

My nose is so dry, I need to find some chapstick to shove up there. I wish I had some vasaline. I need to go chug some water then go back to bed...

Mr Irritating Guy from another forum couldn't understand a short Chinese post I made. I felt happy for a moment that I got the better of him when he raged over his inability of understanding Chinese. But is this kind of short-lived superiority feeling helpful in anything? No. That stupid guy should start acting his age already so he stops pissing me off.

German TV is so retarded and stupid...They just had a footage about an app that should detect your REM sleep stages and then play music.We lucid dreamers know this stuff very well but they just missed the point!

They had some shady doctor explain it.She said "I doubt that music alone will change your dreams..."

I facepalmed so hard my window shattered!

Why can't they let some really intelligent people like Dawkins,Brian Cox,Neil DeGrasse Tyson etc host a show? It happens from time to time but is way too rare! Or maybe just re-run Carl Sagan!

Bear in mind that many people that are attracted to medicine and other minor "sciences" are the type that like to think that they know everything. Therefore when confronted with a new idea, their initial reaction is something along the lines of "I didn't already know that so it must not be true."

Intellectualism in popular western culture has degraded greatly since the days of Sagan (<3). So that show, if it didn't consist of dumbing down what should be basic high school science, would surely get slaughtered by the fifth season of Hollywood Bimbos Pillow Fighting.

Also, Dawkins is the only one that I know of in your list that has done serious fundamental work and even he was riding on the shoulders of Trivers, Hamilton and Wilson. The notion of the Extended Phenotype is all Dawkins though so he does deserve credit for that. Oh yeah, and he's an annoying Atheist.

He was my only seriously fundamental person in the list. I named the others because they are entertaining (in my opinion) and i think a little bit of entertainment on TV doesnt hurt. Of course we could go high caliber then we could also read a book about it.
Well it definitely shouldn't be watered down basic high school science. I was thinking about atleast college (to which degree it is simplified depends on the audience)

That'd literally reverse the target audience of TV. And so how would you deal with all the drones who no longer have their reality shows? Legalise more drugs? Cheaper alcohol? lol
