Great. My OCD is kicking in again. Because I was trying to cure the last symptom I have, the urge to blast music, by starting a one month challenge without headphones. Now I'm double/triple checking and doubting whatever I'm typing again. FML. |
|
Carrot. How did you get out of this symptom before? |
|
Thanks Aly. |

I never had the urge to blast music before. This is the first. And I can't continue on with no headphones challenge for one month, it's causing me anxiety. I instantly felt better when I placed my headphones on even without any music. |
|
Carrot, if it doesn't interfere with your life, don't obsess over it. Are you harming anything by blasting your music (other than your earing in the long run lol)? If it helps with your anxiety, why is it a bad thing? |
|
Oh, are you a fellow sensitive immune system entity!? Tree bark, cut grass and its seeds, and house dust totally owns the shit out of me. |

Well the problem is... I never like blasting music. I felt equally bad regardless I blasted or don't blast music. I guess it's the thought itself that's driving me up the wall, not the action of doing it. If I enjoyed blasting music all along, that wouldn't have the least impact on me. But I'm the type of person who listens to music at a soft/comfortable volume. |
|
lol I had this problem, sort of. I would write on the forum how I'd write an essay.....it lacked personality, casualness, and so seemed strictly scientific.... To make matters worse, I would go over the post numerous times to remove colloquialisms, making it as clear as possible. Somehow I gave up with that, and it's better. |

I try to type the words as I might speak them, pauses and all. I find it meshes well with my thoughts and usually conveys my feelings properly. |

When I look at Curious George, sometimes I wish was in his position...living an ignorant life. |

Einstein would say the same about your life....he actually did.. “Do not worry about your difficulties...... I can assure you mine are still greater.” - Einstein. |

I would say, don't compare your problems. You're not Curious George (still have no idea who he is), neither are you Einstein. We're talking about different individuals here. I don't care what they say about humans being the same. I say being different individuals, we handle things differently and our tolerance level is different. Just because it's not a problem for others, doesn't mean it's not a problem for you. |

We will continue this cycle until we're nothing but piss and shit. |

I have a severe problem with wearing shoes that have any heel whatsoever. It has to be flat. Sure that's laughable as well. It's no laughing matter to me though. |

I wouldn't laugh at other people's problem. I know how bad some small problems can lead to. Unless s/he is a primary school kid complaining to me about homework. Their homework only take half an hour to an hour to complete, I started complaining about mine when it was still uncompleted after 1 - 2 hours. |
|
I don't mean to say you should look outside yourself, but within. Whatever the problem is, no matter how big or small it may appear, you should endeavour to resolve it..... if you want to have a clear, relaxed mind. |
