      Aly. Feel better soon!!

I'm feeling ill too. I just finished eating 15 thin slices of pepperoni. Before that, I ate a pop tart. Or rather, I forced it down. I was NOT in the mood for something sweet but it's the only things to eat so I could take my meds
I feel like barfing- as if I had taken my meds on an empty stomach. wth? I have a pop tart every morning and it's always been enough before.
My allergies are also driving me bonkers. I've been awake for 1 1/2 but my eyes are still puffy and reddish. I keep finding myself rubbing them, but it's not helping.
I need to get off my butt and get some laundry done. It's supposed to rain, off and on, for the next several days.

I just want to crawl back into bed....

That sucks, Zhay!! You feel better, too!

I'm not that nauseous, I'm just at a point where I don't feel like moving much. My allergy-type stuff like the eyes is REALLY bad though. >.< Hooray for rainy days....

Great. My OCD is kicking in again. Because I was trying to cure the last symptom I have, the urge to blast music, by starting a one month challenge without headphones. Now I'm double/triple checking and doubting whatever I'm typing again. FML.

      Thanks Aly.
I have a love/hate relationship with rainy weather. Having no working dryer, I hang my clothes up outside. If it's raining, I can't get caught up on the ton of clothes left behind by my kids. But I wont have to worry about that soon. I think there's half a box and 2 trash bags worth of clothes left to wash. Almost all of it is being donated.

I am in a weird mood. I am torturously restless AND sleepy. I don't want to watch Hulu, I don't want to play my facebook games or Runescape, I WANT to go for another walk, but after taking just a few steps I NEED to lay down- right there- and go to sleep

I've not had a cigarette today, but I'm frequently toking on my e-cigs. Maybe I'm just feeling the effects...

Another rant: A wasp keeps showing up in my bedroom *Grrrrr* THe bathroom window is open, so I opened the bathroom door, hoping he'll leave. But I think he prefers it inside

      **EDIT**
Carrot. Sorry to hear you're having a bad day.

I never had the urge to blast music before. This is the first. And I can't continue on with no headphones challenge for one month, it's causing me anxiety. I instantly felt better when I placed my headphones on even without any music.

      Other symptoms I had/have:
      1. Repetitive Checking
      2. Needing things to be in place
      3. Thoughts of writing and doubting that whatever I'm writing down contains sexual content
      4. Thoughts of photos to contain sexual content
      5. Numerous ways to kill/injure myself with daily items

I managed to reduce/cure all of them, and the urge to blast music was the last one on the list.

3/4 was reduced most probably because of no jerking off one month challenge.

5 was reduced when I told myself if I do anything stupid, that'll be the end of my life and I somehow forgot about it.

1 was reduced during the no jerking off challenge and because I stopped doubting what I typed, I'm more confident in things I do in real life, thus reduce in checking.

2 was reduced during the no jerking off challenge and I told myself to ignore.

Carrot, if it doesn't interfere with your life, don't obsess over it. Are you harming anything by blasting your music (other than your earing in the long run lol)? If it helps with your anxiety, why is it a bad thing?

As for the others, 5 used to be a really big thing with me as well as 1 to a lesser degree. I stopped beating myself up over 1 though. Who cares if I check numerous times to make sure I have my car keys before locking it up? Who cares if I check the mail every time I pass the box even though I KNOW the mail has already run
Dark fantasies helped a LOT with some of my other obsessions. I'm nervous about driving in snowy weather so I'd have dark fantasies about getting into a wreck, losing my memory and living in the woods for 5 years before making my way out. It's like a "worse case scenario" thing. I've lived through it in my mind, so the thing I was nervous about became less scary.
When the fantasies started taking over my life though, I became firm with myself by telling my brain to shut up and redirecting my thoughts.

I'm on my second load of laundry. I actually found a lot of MY clothes. But a lot of my clothes pins are missing They've probably broken over the months and I failed to realize I don't have an endless supply
Rant: I just stole and smoked one of my sons cigarettes My back hurts... it's actually my kidneys so I must be dehydrated
I still feel like going to sleep.............

Oh, are you a fellow sensitive immune system entity!? Tree bark, cut grass and its seeds, and house dust totally owns the shit out of me.

Made exams in the summer almost impossible to concentrate on. My uni was literally surrounded by grass and trees...

Well the problem is... I never like blasting music. I felt equally bad regardless I blasted or don't blast music. I guess it's the thought itself that's driving me up the wall, not the action of doing it. If I enjoyed blasting music all along, that wouldn't have the least impact on me. But I'm the type of person who listens to music at a soft/comfortable volume.

When I talked about 5, I forgot to add I meant the thought of it not the action of doing it. Or my spirit will be the one typing this to you now. Okay, jokes aside. I find it easier to go away with compulsive behaviour than obsessive thoughts because I know clearly that they don't help me at all, probably affecting my confidence and self-esteem too so it's easier to to shoo them away.

And did I mention I reduced the amount of time spent checking on the words I type when I told myself that DV is a place filled with understanding people, so if I typed something wrong by accident (and it happened to contain sexual content that makes no sense), I can explain it and there'll be people who understands me.

lol I had this problem, sort of. I would write on the forum how I'd write an essay.....it lacked personality, casualness, and so seemed strictly scientific.... To make matters worse, I would go over the post numerous times to remove colloquialisms, making it as clear as possible. Somehow I gave up with that, and it's better.

I try to type the words as I might speak them, pauses and all. I find it meshes well with my thoughts and usually conveys my feelings properly.

It's raining now...but I would get more wet by taking a shower. Truly disappointing rain event.

If I tried... Typing how I might sound like... When I speak them... It will probably be like this.

I don't usually speak English in my country, it'll just be some jumbled up English with my own mother tongue and such.

When I look at Curious George, sometimes I wish was in his position...living an ignorant life.

The only problems he deals with are elementary compared to human life...

Einstein would say the same about your life....he actually did.. “Do not worry about your difficulties...... I can assure you mine are still greater.” - Einstein.

I think I'm attempting to say that you can't escape this feeling of complexity, or having to deal with problems. You looking down toward Curious George seems like a nice prospect; however, if you were Curious George, you'd look toward something simpler and wish the same thing. It's a never ending cycle, until you either end up being an inanimate object, say, a stone, or you keep a strong face, will power and push forward. Always.

I'm sure you don't want to be a boring rock, do you?

      lol

A minor problem to you might feel catastrophically bad to another, and a severe problem of mine might seem laughable to you. The point being that we all have problems, and it's how they affect the mood, consciousness etc of the person experiencing them that matters (not the apparent severity/simplicity of the problem itself).

We're all in the same boat link. So don't jump overboard. ^_^

I would say, don't compare your problems. You're not Curious George (still have no idea who he is), neither are you Einstein. We're talking about different individuals here. I don't care what they say about humans being the same. I say being different individuals, we handle things differently and our tolerance level is different. Just because it's not a problem for others, doesn't mean it's not a problem for you.

Never-ending cycle of looking down huh? It's equally bad looking up.

Never-ending cycle of looking down huh? It's equally bad looking up.

I find my urge to blast music to the extent of causing me anxiety laughable too.
I have a severe problem with wearing shoes that have any heel whatsoever. It has to be flat. Sure that's laughable as well. It's no laughing matter to me though.

Yeah, looking up can appear equally bad. But if you keep going up, you'll eventually rise above those stormy clouds to see the clear, relaxing sky.

I wouldn't laugh at other people's problem. I know how bad some small problems can lead to. Unless s/he is a primary school kid complaining to me about homework. Their homework only take half an hour to an hour to complete, I started complaining about mine when it was still uncompleted after 1 - 2 hours.

Regarding looking up, I agree. But I don't look up to everyone who is successful. I'm rather skeptical when it comes to role models.

I'm with Wolfwood on this one. I was going to write a big response, but I don't really feel like thinking right now.

I don't mean to say you should look outside yourself, but within. Whatever the problem is, no matter how big or small it may appear, you should endeavour to resolve it..... if you want to have a clear, relaxed mind.

Would you walk around with a stone in your shoe because you couldn't be bothered to simply remove the shoe and shake out the stone?

I should resolve my problem with heeled shoes, but I use the classic, inferior solution.......avoidance of the heeled shoe. lol It's no way to live like. Luckily, this doesn't alter my life much.

No worries. I'm trying that. That's why I ended up screwing some other parts of myself up because I was experimenting with my willpower.
