RAVE: Thank goodness, the rain has finally arrived and brought lower temps with it
My room is a comfy 75 with 69% humidity.

Rant: It's 8:10PM and I'm just now starting to feel my Provigil kick in (I took it at around noon).
... which has led to more internet searches. I was told that I likely have gastroparesis which means the contents of my stomach move and empty more slowly than normal. I wondered if that could effect medications as well. Turns out, it can.
Which might explain why 1/2 a dose effected me so harshly (rise in BP whereas a full dose hasn't done so).
SO!- I need to either take Provigil at bed time or take 1/2 with breakfast along with BP meds. I'll have to play around with both of those to see which is best for me.

BUT... why do Seroquel and Benadryl seem to work faster? Are the coatings different or am I off on my theory? And would it be safe to mix an upper with a "downer" at bedtime?

      Blah.

Rave: Tylenol is still getting me through the discomfort of my arm.
Rant: I am worried that I've been using it too much and disrupting healing. The sling just kills my elbow. I don't know why though. When I'm at my desk, my arm rests on it just as it does in the sling (same height etc). Maybe it's the angle- in the sling, my arm is near my belly, whereas, at my desk, my arms are forward facing. ??? Maybe it's because I move my arm more than I realize when it's free of the sling?
I can live with some disability and pain. I REALLY don't want to have to have another surgery though- or worse, a shoulder replacement

Gah! I am now feeling physically sleepy but mentally energized

      Rant: I'm cold now.
Rave: Everytime I'm working out, Yahtzee works out too. He is a silly bird. XD Moxie is on the attack!!
Rave: I was approached by some art magazine on Instagram because of my drawings and photos stuff.

Rave: Picked up a go pro 6 today. (Basically the state of the art action camera at the moment). They retail for around $700 in Australia. I saw one listed on the Facebook marketplace for $400, and I asked the guy if he would sell it to me for $350. It's brand new, and when I asked him why he was selling it he said he planned to go on vacation but he had to cancel abruptly, and so he had no immediate use for the camera. I was a little suspicious that it was simply stolen on account of what a good price it was, so I asked him to produce the receipt, which he did, and it all turned out to in fact be rather legitimate. So, I went and picked it up today. It's all working well and everything, I'm super stoked with it. (SUCH a good deal, got it for brand new for half the retail price!). I'm planning on using it to film motorcycle footage. I will post some footage for you guys very soon, but at the moment I've imposed a rule on myself that I am not allowed to film on it until I begin work on my university assignment, as I have been procrastinating far too much recently.

      So many great Raves
I'm jealous of your bird, IC. Mine's an angry bird. He doesn't do anything cool lol. But he's still endearing. Any time I leave my room, he "flock calls" to me. And he grinds his beak in contentment and whistles with me (and shrieks if I get the whistle wrong ) But when I put my hand into his cage to change his water or to clean it, he hisses at me and shrieks like he's being killed. And if I try to touch him, he'll bite and draw blood. I still love him though He's a cockatiel and I've had him for nearly a decade.
Grats regarding your drawings/photos! Sounds like a great opportunity!

Yuppie, GREAT find!! I hope you get some amazing footage. Great picture!

Rave: I'm slowly getting some mobility back. PT said the break is in a really weird place so I have to strengthen the muscles near my shoulder blade without engaging the muscles in my upper arm (that muscle can place too much pressure and interference on the broken bone as it heals).

Rant: After yesterday's PT, I feel a weird clicking in my upper arm muscle. I am very worried about hindering or making my healing worse. I can't wait for my next X-ray and Dr appointment.

Rave: I am finally starting to sleep fairly well. I've gotten somewhat used to sleeping on my back. The last couple of days, I've even managed to sleep on my side (good side lol) some. I've always laughed at myself for sleeping the way I do. I either somewhat contort and have an arm under my neck sort of like a "choke hold", or I tuck my hands under my face like a little kid.
But there's actually a smart reason for doing so which I was doing intuitively. When I've tried sleeping on my side previously, I've had to keep my arms down near my stomach... and I feel suffocated. Having my arms up, I guess, opens the diaphram for easier breathing.

Rave: Marea is still alive. I was expecting her to die, many times, for a few months now. Her growth has been greatly hampered and she's still sickly with icky eyes and congestion. She's smaller than the new kitten who was born a month+ after her. And speaking of that kitten... Ash has decided that she loves him and is his mother. She nurses him and runs off his bio mom, Mew. All of them are old enough and healthy enough for worming meds. I'll tackle that next week.

Rave: Fly season is mostly over, so I can take down my mosquito net.

Amazement: We have Jurasic sized dandelions growing in our yard. I've never seen them that big before.
      TallDandelions.jpg
Some of the driveway looks like it has snow on it because the seeds are so thick and plentiful.

I hope everyone is staying safe (or is far away from) the incoming hurricane.

I hope you're feeling better and better each day, Zhaylin. I got my haircut today and seeing you posted a picture of your new haircut recently I will also post mine. Unfortunately I'm beginning to bald. My father is bald and my mother had a hair transplant when she was younger to address her thinning hair, so I have no hope of retaining my hair considering hair loss runs in both sides of my family. I don't really mind too much, it doesn't particularly bother me. However having said that, I would have liked to have kept decent hair until I turned around 25 or so. 21 is a bit too young to have a receding hair line for my liking, but I suppose it is what it is. Once I am noticeably balding I will simply shave all my hair off. I read a study that suggests women find men who are bald more attractive than men who attempt to keep their hair once they have entered the late stages of balding. I think I might look a little strange bald, my ears are larger than average which might be emphasised by a bald head, and also my skin tone is darker than usual, so the contrast between a white shaved head may also look weird. I'm sure a cure to hair loss will be introduced once it's too late

What a handsome fellow! Great picture
When/if you do shave your head, I'd imagine it would tan to match the rest of you lol. I see nothing wrong with your ears at all.
Thinning hair is on my moms side.... but what cause? I know, for my grandmother, most if not all of her hair loss was due to her diabetes. My mom had something wrong with her scalp and had a biopsy or something done and she says her hair never did grow properly after that. And she is now diabetic.
I'd be completely happy being shaven- not bald. Maybe bald, lol, I just don't know. But I say that knowing full well I could grow my hair back if I changed my mind.

Humorous: I guilt my kids whenever they kill bugs. I'd much rather they be moved outside. My daughter-in-law always goes into a long, clinical sob story about how terrified she is of spiders. Woman, please. If you were THAT terrified, you would NOT be able to set foot in this house let alone live here. While spending some time on the toilet, the other day, I counted 22 spiders just on and around the bathtub Of course, most of them were spiderlings and everyone in the household, other than me, are blind as bats so it IS possible they just don't see them... but I think they just can't be bothered with the rescuing and blame phobias to feel better about themselves.

RANT: Paula's car died on the way home from work last night. She managed to get it home at 10mph and barely functioning breaks and gas and a terrifying shimmy. Now she's at the dealership trying to figure out where to go from here. She only owed $800. I told her it's better the car died now than AFTER she paid if off. But it's still immensely frustrating for everyone. There's no way I can taxi them... not with my PT schedule and my trillion Dr's visits now-a-days. And they have nothing in savings to take it to a mechanic..
She's been there since 8AM. It's now 11:00 (the place didn't even open until 9 though lol)

Rant: I only got an hours worth of sleep. I passed out at around 5:30 and woke at 6:30 because I rolled over wrong and I felt a muscle in my broken arm POP as if it was a joint.
I REALLY hope I'm getting better, but I honestly have my doubts lol. I CAN move more now though, which is a huge RAVE (I can actually pull my covers up and wrap a towel around myself... ahhh, the little things

Humorous: At PT, a different lady hooked my up to the TENS machine. Just just cranked it right up and I said when too late. For 10 minutes, I sat there and my body obviously constricted (?) with each jolt as if in contractions. Wednesday's lady walked by and I asked her if that was normal and she said, "no, that's too high. We want your muscles to relax, not work them out!" It wasn't the least bit painful, just weird.

Nice video! The roads looked, mostly, clear but I can imagine it's bumper to bumper sometimes!

Paula almost did get a motorcycle once. Actually, I think she did buy one for a time but it didn't get much if any use. She's too short for most bikes lol (4'9"-ish)
She was at the dealership, haggling, until 12:30 But, she came home in a Grand Cherokee. It's a 2004 model. Older than her Explorer was but in excellent condition none-the-less. The dealership has to fix a broken taillight tomorrow, though, and they might give her an oil change as well.
She's satisfied with the trade, even though her payments have extended to 28 months

Sad/funny confession time. We've lived here for some 17-18 years. My son took me up on my "offer" to clean the kitchen. I paid $20. for the initial cleaning and I'm going to pay $10. a week for daily upkeep so it doesn't become disgusting again.
He took down the (short/mostly decorative) curtain above the sink to wash it and scrub the wall. It was then that we realized there are blinds for the windows. The window also has the factory sticker still on it.
So... for 17-18 years that curtain had never been washed, nor had the window been cleaned.
My goodness... no wonder this place is falling apart.

Rant: I have to go to the store tonight for a big shopping trip for hubby. The kids also need things, and I'm out of Coke, so I'm not grumbling TOO much

Other than that, all is quiet.
I've finally warmed up and woken up. I've been up since 9:30 and even though it's 79 degrees in my room, I was freezing until about an hour ago. I'm not running a fever or anything.

Rant-ish: Two spots along my incision are red and inflamed. I can't tell if they're warm to the touch though. All of my skin is firecracker hot (it runs that way). I wash it, with soap, when I shower. Then I put Mederma (scar reduction cream) and Cocoa Butter on it throughout the day, wiping it with alcohol babywipes between applications. I don't know why it's becoming an issue now that it's 98% healed.

Rant: I'm impatient to heal. In PT, my arm can be moved outwards just fine (by and large). But it wont go straight up. My entire arm and muscle hitches upwards. The joint refuses to flex that way. But the joint is okay, so what the heck?!
Yesterday, I was speaking with the girls outside my room. They caught me coming out of the restroom, so I wasn't planning on being up and away from my desk (I wear my sling if I am). I tend to stand military style with my hands clasped behind my back. Out of habit, I tried doing just that and EGAD!- not a good idea lol. Apparently, my arm doesn't want to move that way either

I just want the Dr to tell me the bone is healed. Once it is, I'm going to work the heck out of my joint. Strength isn't as important to me as my flexibility is. I NEED my flexibility back... THEN I can strengthen it. But I'm afraid of doing too much until I hear that.
And... well... PT has made me worried. One of the therapists told me that when a plate is put in place it often-times stops bone regrowth and useful calluses from forming. Does that mean the bone will never fully heal? Was surgery a good idea?

      BAH!

What type of PC do you have Zhaylin? Any cool specs? I'm thinking about building myself a PC to play games and edit videos on. At the moment all I have is a laptop which is sub-optimal for the types of tasks I plan on doing.

My hubby had mine built. I don't know anything about the mechanics of computers... just how to use the basics and gaming lol.
But here's a screenshot of my specs (I couldn't copy/paste for some reason) if they make sense to you.
      PCSpecs.jpg
I love my machine, though there could be some improvements. Especially since playing Roblox, I seem to lag more and often wonder if my device has been hacked or infected lol (though my scans tell me all is well).
I also have problems with some older games like Fallout. I can't play the lockpick minigame but my searches indicate that may be a fault with my ancient monitor rather than my PC

Rant: After PT today, I've noticed my shoulder is more concaved. He said my joint is wonderful and thinks most of my issues are from muscle spams and tension (I still have a major knot though they have worked SO much of it out already). So maybe the concave is just from muscle weakness? I hope that's all it is.

RANT: Just when I thought the flies were gone, a few have resurfaced... and the biting ones at that But I've only run across a couple so far. I'm just glad I've not taken down my net yet. I'd be REALLY grumpy if I had lol

Rave: M&M has turned into an amazingly lovable cat... He's figured out how to squeeze between the floor and the tarp to continue coming into the restroom. I'd be annoyed if he wasn't so precious. He now gives "love bites" for food and affection. Did I write about this already lol

Amazement: Yesterday, I called hubby over to our Jurasic dandelions and he said they're 7-8 feet tall What the heck? I should document those things lol

Bah... gotta go spray down in DEET so this fly will leave me alone

      **EDIT**
      Oh yeah
Rave? When the PT guy saw me today, he commented on the redness along my incision. He said he's seen that a lot and what it usually is, is just a stitch that wasn't properly absorbed trying to work its way out of the body.
I didn't really think it was an infection, though there was some buildup yesterday. I had my daughter-in-law try to pop it (after having her thoroughly sanitize her hands as she's a carrier of MRSA). It drained clear, a tiny bit, for a few hours. I frequently sterilized it after the fact, as well. It's a relief to know it's most likely just a stitch.

Rant: My incision has been annoying the dickens out of me. I poked the area above the spot I drained and it was sore. So I rubbed it with great pressure and the incision started leaking again. It looked like something was trying to come out of it, so I picked at it and it was just a scab (I was hoping it was that stitch!). Then I saw a tiny white spot and picked at it Then I realized I was just opening the wound so I've made myself stop... for the most part. I still rub it, from time to time to encourage draining and I blot it with my alcohol wipes and that's it. NO MORE PICKING

Rant: I've not seriously played Roblox for about a week now. It's just so socially exhausting lol. So, I bought a server last week to avoid all the "plebs" ("trade me, trade me; gimme, gimme!!") But now I'm bored without all the chat drama

Rave: I've been playing a lot more Gems of War on Steam though. The new update has hooked me.

Rave: I got a nag phone call about not meeting my CPAP goals. I was actually awake when I got the call this time, so I was able to jot down the number to call "if I'm experiencing problems or need guidance". And a live person actually answered when I called
I told her of my break and that it's been impossible to use it at this time. She laughed and said she could imagine and would make a note so I'd stop getting the calls. I told her I'm not too bothered about that, that I'm just worried about being non-compliant. She said she'll make a note of that as well and gave me the impression that everything's okay.

I'll have my new mask soon, so hopefully by that time, I'll be able to use the machine. It's not so much that I CAN'T use it. I can. But I can't clean it. I clean it in the shower as there's really no working or acceptable sinks in the house. The sink in the kitchen is too much of a bother for me to use (have to manually turn it on and off under the sink with pliers). And I don't trust my kids to clean it well enough.
Also, with the mask triggering migraines, I don't want to have to deal with that right now.

Rave: I finally found a form of Vitamin C that I can tolerate. Gummy Supplements. They are sour as all get out (quite the shock to the system ) but they don't bother my stomach in the least. O.J., pills and chewables kill my stomach. Gah!- how I love O.J. though... and the more pulp, the better

hehe, I was just coming here to share that pic
I don't think I've ever heard that song before. I liked it, but now it's going to be an ear worm for the rest of the day

      Here's that pic
      MeTallFlowers.jpg

They might not be dandelions but something called hawkweed. I have to snap a stem tomorrow to see. Dandelions are hollow whereas the other are solid. Dandelions also produce a whole lot more "latex" when they're broken.

Rant-ish: PT sucked today. I got another woman. I haven't met a female I'm happy with yet. They're nice and all that, but (like most women) they seem too afraid to hurt you to really push you to your limit. She did, however, put support tape on my arm after speaking to them about and showing them the concaved area.

Rant: I woke up, this morning, smelling toast. I asked the kids and no one had been cooking any, so Miley told me to go to the Dr because I was having a stroke. Ummm, no I could only smell it in my room and on my way to the kitchen. Ray had cooked hamburger and for some reason, it smelled like toast to me But now I've been craving it all day What a weird food to crave! My diet is primarily made up of carbs, so it's not because of some deficit....

Rave: As soon as Paula pays me back my $20., I'm buying a toaster

      **EDIT**
Oh yeah... for some reason, the song you shared, Ebb, turned into this one

      ***EDIT***
What, what? I read the comments that the one singer from my post was a WHITE man. I always thought it was a black woman singing. So I had to look it and sure enough
Someone made a joke about him pulling a "milli vanilii" so I'm going to have to look into this some more lol

      Rave:
I wish I could ⚘Teleport⚘my Rehabilitation PT to you.

      She is my "smiling Assassin⚘.

For 4 years I was walking up steps and stairs sidways, holding on to banister, with both hands, sidways.

Then I was falling over in city streets
and strangers had to get me back on my feet.
I am sure they thought I was a silly old drunken woman,
      (but I don't dwink)
I got diabetic neuropathy in my feets in 2008.

      Any way

      I bought a wheely walker
      My Dr said
due to my ballance and foot dragging issues
I need to start saving up for a wheelchair.

I went to a City Gym,
in tears, begging for a personal trainer (PT)

      Josh, the manager said
      "What a coincidence"
About 2 hours ago I got a call from one of my PT's
She has just come out of a 12 month rehab
      after a moterbike accident.

      She wants a client.
      Now
you walk in off the street and want a PT.

      I, Debra Jane Dixon,
was Tabatha Cox first cab-of-the-rank client.

      In 2007
      Tabs was The
National Champian female Natural Boby Builder
and she got her international card.

I did my first PT with her on October 12
      On my 55th birthday.

In 12 weeks at 2 sessions a week
I was walking up the stairs like a normal person.

In 16 weeks at 2 sessions a week
My diabetic blood sugars CRASHED twice to 2.0
at 2am in the morning, 2 mornings in a row
Tabs took me to my Drs (urgent same day appt)
      She came in with me
And my Dr halved my night time diabetic meds.

      I love my wonderfull PT
      Tabatha Cox.

I saw no link and no scorpion (I'm starting to get sleepy though, lol)
I am SO glad you found someone to help you in so many ways! GRATS on all the progress you've made!!

I keep waiting for genetics to catch up with me. Diabetes runs heavy in my family... but I take after my dad more than my moms side where that problem runs. (But on my dad's side, I have to watch out for brain aneurisms )
I can't eat a lot of foods because of my stomach and dental troubles. I exist mostly on junk food I have a hefty portion of cereal and 1-2 mini Slim Jims when I wake up, then Burger King or something similar for dinner unless hubby wants (healthy) food from our favorite local place. I snack on a few chips throughout the day but that's about it. (I buy a standard 7 3/4 ounce bag of chips at the start of each week and I usually have leftovers that I give to the kids.)

I have an exceptionally low thirst drive. I start the day with a fresh 16.9 ounce Coke, which I swap out with a different one all day. I drink it til it's room temp, put it in the freezer and start a new one then repeat until the end of the day. There's half left in each of the 2 bottles by the end of the day (I give those to my kids too lol- I HATE flat Coke, but my daughter Miley prefers them that way ) BUT, since my break, I have been CRAVING Frozen Cokes (Icee's, Slushies- the icier the better). I drink about 48 ounces of one of those nearly every day!!!! I used to hate those things because they usually taste flat lol

So, yeah, I REALLY hope diabetes does NOT catch up to me. I will starve and thirst to death if it does!

As soon as this bone heals, I'm going to go on a water fast. Or, rather, I'm going to TRY to From there, I'll go back on my low sodium soup diet. Jump start some weight loss and reset these taste buds

I really, really, REALLY know your food addictions.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes at 35.
      I am the worst diabetic
      because
      of ALL my food addictions.

10 years ago my diabetic nurse and my Dr said:

"There are people in hospital in coma with your readings

My readings never dropped below 18
      And often hit 30

      Normal people
      NEVER drop below 3.4
      Or go above 7

I had no thirst and no peeing.
If I was at work or out
I'd go all day with out peeing
      Even with bloods at 28

Dr said my metabolism keeps adjusting
And keeps getting used to the sugar going up
      and up over the years.

But after 23 years I have half kidney function
My right foot cracked for no reason 6 month ago
      Because long tern diabetic neuropathy
      demineralizes Feet bone.

Ive been out of the moon boot for a few weeks now.
Luckily it didn't go Charcot Foot

I feel for you beautiful woman.

Keep me in the loop about your health
      And dreams

Ah ha! I see it now... I thought it was a crawfish

I'm not familiar with the readings you gave.
When my daughters sugar isn't controlled it's in the upper 200's/lower 300's.
My sugar tends to stay at 86-120. Back when I was under weight, I had reactive hypoglycemia. I'd eat something sweet and my sugar would rise a little, but 30-60 minutes later it would bottom out because my body would over-react and produce too much insulin
Putting some meat on my bones seems to have cured me of it though. But I've read that it can sometimes be a precursor for diabetes.

I still pee "a lot". I roll my eyes at myself- especially on those days I only drink one of those small bottles of Coke. I feel like I pee twice as much as I actually drink I probably go about 5 times a day.

Which reminds me, I should have hubby print off some of my on-line medical chart so I can question the Dr about it tomorrow. Some of my blood work was weird and my EKG was a little wonky. Apparently, everything is still within acceptable range or they wouldn't have done surgery, but I still want some explanations.

Rant: I think the tape made my arm hurt more So, I took it off. (PT said I could if it bothered me in any way). BUT, I also only got 3-4 hours of sleep last night and fatigue always makes things seem to hurt more or be worse in some fashion.

Meh: I managed to leave my incision alone until just a little while ago. The pressure was starting to mount some, so I removed the scab and drained it some. And, greatly enough, it didn't drain much. But the glue above it is still wanting to separate so I'm taking tremendous care not to pull or irritate it.

Sad/Humor/Rant: The girls left for work this morning, only to return a short while later. While driving down the mountain, to get to work, the steering of their car went out. People from the dealership picked them up and dropped them off at home, then picked up the vehicle. They had it all day and worked on it. Seems to be okay now. The belt slipped or some such. Paula's sure the world is trying to kill her and she becoming more and more paranoid about driving. I tell her to switch out her thinking. Perhaps there was something even more dangerous down the road that these things are causing her to avoid. She's not having any of my hippie talk though and is thinking about suing them for the "lemon law" in our State if anything else goes wrong.

Meh: Hubby's sending me out for dinner (more BK ) in 9 minutes. It's too busy out there in the world. I think I would rather fast or have more cereal lol. It's mostly just an excuse for us to spend some time together so I don't really mind.

Rant/Rave: Since my iPad died, I've taken to playing Jewel Quest on my DSi. I'm LOVING the game but goodness is it glitchy as heck. It usually crashes my device once a day. I've almost finished the story line.

Rave: I am very optimistic that I will sleep soundly tonight.... even if I have to take a hydro or Perc to do so

10 year ago when my Dr said,
"there are people in hospital in comas with these readings"

My blood glucose readings were between 18 and 28.

But since I was without symptome of thirst or weeing, I ignored her.

Rant: My brother had one of that tractor hydraulic hose busted in his face but, He seems fine, though.
Rave: I had this long dream that at one point I remember running into some greenhouse in the middle of late October or early November and I was followed by someone who I no longer have any contact with anymore. Then in the dream, I remember strapping a big Acme rocket on my back like the ones you would see in the Looney Tunes. However, I had a little trouble lighting it a first because the matches were on the other side of the greenhouse. Then I blasted off. I know exactly why I had that kind of dream.

Ebb. YES, then those really would be disasterous readings!!!!!!! Dangerous, dangerous numbers. I'm surprised they didn't insist on admitting you straight away.
My daughter never knew she was diabetic because she was "lost" in the Foster System for some time. (Truancy, behavioral and my own inability to keep my home sanitary) Whenever she switched homes or centers, they tested her vision because she wears glasses, and they would smack-talk the previous eye Dr because her prescription was so different each time. They knew her family history but never thought to test her sugar
So, when she aged out, she came back home. Some times passed and she thought she had a UTI. She went to a local Dr. He asked symptoms etc and straight away, wanted to test her sugar. It was in the high 300's and he wanted to admit her to the hospital but was able to bring it down in his office. I was waiting with her wife in the car outside and the nurse came to get us because my daughter was being overly emotional. She took the news about her diabetes very hard. She's since adjusted but she doesn't watch her diet or take her insulin like she should (part of it is insurance difficulty and being 'immune' to certain types of insulin).
      *sigh*

IC, so glad your brother's okay!! That would have shaken me some too. Glad you had an enjoyable, interesting dream

      From FB because I'm lazy-ish:
"Saw the Dr today. He said I'm healing well, but I'm to continue using the sling (when away from my desk), do passive exercises ONLY in PT, and not take Ibuprofen for another month. I'm still not allowed to lift or carry anything or raise my arm above my head (as if I could! )
BAH!- This is way too slow for me lol. But it's still encouraging news.

Where my shoulder wants to concave or "sublux", it's just muscle weakness. He says the joint looks absolutely fine.
The sore along the incision looks clean, he said, but he prescribed an antibiotic to be on the safe side.

Regarding my Jurasic Dandelions, the "test" I gave them shows they really are something else. Perhaps that Hawkweed. But they're too far gone to really tell now. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for them next season."

      So... yeah...

The car drama is also continuing. Right after the dealership worked on the car, the girls drove it and all was well. The next day, they got in it to go to work and it wouldn't start. The dealership gave them a loaner and said they'd pick up the vehicle to troubleshoot it some more. It's still outside. They tried to get her to take some other vehicle in a really shady fashion I couldn't even begin to explain and it's just been spiraling. Paula's been extra beside herself emotionally and my daughter absolutely sucks at being a wife (Paula is my daughter-in-law who also lives here). I need to pull my daughter aside and have a talk with her but she's too angry and somewhat self-centered about the whole mess that I know she'll just deflect (she forked over nearly her entire paycheck for this car and the dealership is screwing them (?)).

I can see that Paula is spiraling though. Bad things are coming if something positive doesn't happen soon.

And I'm somewhat irritated that Paula is being such a "girl" about the whole thing... and I'm irritated at my irritation. Because *my* way of handling things is SOOOOO much better (I type with dripping sarcasm). I have such a "repressed" fear of driving that it triggered my need for anxiety meds 18 years ago which triggered a life long dependency on said meds because the anxiety has never gone away despite addressing it, facing it, exposing myself to it and medicating for it

Paula is about to snap. She walked in to a mental health facility, yesterday, and spent 2 1/2 hours venting to a therapist who is not her therapist. She HATES therapists (though she's slowly become fond of her own). I'm proud of her for doing that and for getting perspective... but as she spoke to me last night, I could see her cracking.

I guess, the tdlr version would be: I don't understand people who are incapable of seeing and appreciating their blessings for being overwhelmed by the negative, focusing on that alone and become consumed by it.
The "kids" who live with me have it VERY easy, in many, many ways... but it doesn't comfort them in the least.

Rave: There's a spider (actually one of several ) who lives on the wall behind the washer/dryer. I always see her when I'm turning the water main on and off; but I think I'm otherwise blind to all the creepy crawlies at this point. Last night, while messing with the water, I noticed an egg sack with a lot of speckles around it- almost like specks of dust. It wasn't moving. I poked the egg sack and all the little specks started to scurry The specks are spiderlings. They're just your typical house-spider spiders so I'm not concerned. The more, the merrier as long as they stick to the corners and the walls.

Maybe your daughter and I could hook-up with me online.
I'm asexual so no interest there
but we could encourage each other.

I was discovered at 35 year old because
SUDDENLY I was getting a sore throat
that kept comming back and back
      after every course of antibiotics.

Then I got an eye infection
      then a skin infection (???).
Never knew that was possible... skin infection.

      Dr's, glucose monitor read 14 (so 250).
He looked at me with compassion and said
"I'm sorry, this shouldn't happen till your over 40 years old but you have type 2 diabetes"

      I think

      You daughter has the same
      powerful genetic make-up as me.

Our bodies just keep adjusting to the high blood glucose.

Also 10 years ago they really, really wanted me to go on insulin.

      I REFUSED (!!!)

Telling my doctor that I'm a "multy"
      There are 3 of me
If one gets depression she might overdose on insulin.

So my Dr made a hospital appointment for me
An old Professor at the RAH said,

"I understand why you refuse insulin
      And that's ok
I will offer you what we gave our patients before insulin
      It is called Metformin.

It gives you the runs untill your metabolism gets used to it

And if you stop taking it for a day or so
When you do you will get the runs again

      So, most pepple prefer insulin."

He put me on 2500 mg

That is some of my journy with Diabeties ⚘

I never knew you had DID (I just googled that, lol. I thought it would be MPD ) That seems like it would be both a nightmare and interesting. But I say that as someone who has never had any sort of experience with it (not even acquaintances).
And thank you, so much, for your offer to befriend my daughter. She's an intensely shy loner though. I'll tell her though

She was eventually put on Metforman as well. It's helped a lot... but boy are you right about those bathroom trips

Rant: It's period time and once again, I am "bleeding to death". What the heck, body?! My cycle has NEVER been as heavy as it has been the last few months.

Rave-ish: BUT!!!!!!!!- I also know I'm not a completely forgetful old bat. I changed out my product, (and I KNOW I did because I made a mess), and when I changed out again, there were TWO tampons. One of the applicators was somehow double packed (which also explained the initial difficulty I had with it ) I had that happen to me once or twice in the past and I always thought I forgot to remove one. Now I know that might not have been the case lol

Rave: When coming home from the store last night, I caught movement on the dryer we have on the porch. We put the cat food on it, so I assumed it was a cat. Seconds later, however, I realized it was an opossum. But not just any old opossum. It was a teeny, tiny baby. I made my presence known so I wouldn't frighten him, and he wedged himself between the (thankfully) closed window and the back of the dryer.
The puppy was going nuts and even darted onto the porch for a second before we got him back in. The cats were extremely curious.
The poor little guy was hissing (I assume- his mouth was open) because he was trapped and scared.
I put some fresh food out for the cats to distract them and he eventually went away.
      He was SOOOO stinking cute.

Rants: There's something weird going on with my upper eyelid. It's RIGHT along the edge with my eyelashes. Hubby thinks I might be getting an infected/clogged/or otherwise irritated oil gland. The eyelid is red and a little inflamed. It's more annoying than anything else.
And my incision is friggin getting on my last nerve. The raw spot feels tight and the slightest movement opens it up. It's VERY sore. And great... I just lifted the bandaid and it looks puss-y. I was too beat to deal with Walmart on Friday and by the time I got to the store last night, the pharmacy had closed. My daughter-in-law just left to pick up her own prescription so she's picking up my antibiotics as well.
But, what in the actual heck is going on with it?! It's annoying me.

Rave: I just discovered "Station 19" on Hulu (a fire-fighting spin-off of the medical show Grey's Anatomy") and I really love it. It's REALLY dumb and cheesy in parts (seriously?- a wrecked tanker carrying ethanol spilled the ethanol in a circle AROUND the truck ) but it's still really, really good.

So... that's what I'll be doing today. Binging Hulu and playing Gems of War. Roblox has just been way too social for me to deal with
I hope everyone is well and having a fun, relaxing (or exciting ) weekend.

Rave: Bought all my PC components finally. The system should flawlessly game in 1080p. What I'm looking forward to most of all is being able to game on a monitor. For years now I've been using my laptop, and it's just not very efficient at all for a wide field of view. Especially with the game I play primarily (League of Legends). I'm also looking forward to assembling the computer myself, I think it'll be lots of fun and a great learning experience. Also I save about $250 by not having it assembled for me. I've looked up pre-built systems online and they have the same specifications as the PC I am building, except they're typically about $250 more just as a premium for the assembly. My favourite hobby is now browsing pre-built systems and comparing them to see how much money I save by building the computer myself. Not to be an elitist or anything, I can understand the appeal of pre-builts, they're much easier and they give you warranty and peace of mind and all that. It makes sense for me to get a proper desktop computer, as I said I've been using laptops for years. I spend virtually my entire day on my laptop so, it's only sensible that I may as well be using a sufficiently powerful computer instead. Not that my laptop is desolate by any means, but for the things I do on it, like video editing and gaming, I really should be using a desktop. I had a desktop when I was a child, and then somewhere through the cycle of upgrading computers my parents decided to get me a laptop instead. I don't think they really understood that when you buy a laptop you are sacrificing power for portability. I do enjoy being able to transport my laptop anywhere with ease, but I don't think it's a good enough reason to be missing out on the power that a desktop grants. Also I bought a mechanical keyboard to go with my computer which I'm rather excited about, I hear they are very pleasant to use. The specifications of the PC I'm building are attached below if anyone is interested. Sorry if this post was a big ramble and disjointed, I've just finished a week straight of writing assignments, so I'm pretty sick of typing coherently. Feels good to be writing lazily and informally. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well!
