Monsa! You have been missed. How are you? Still getting lucid?

Thanks moon, me too! I have missed the DV crew for a while...For some reason things in my life changed directions drastically and I vanished into another whole new reality, with none to very scarce LDS ... well, I guess also raising 3 boys while my wife works from home has been a real challenge this days.. Hopefully I get to engage on some DV activities and some DJ!

Once, I had the internet, goes out for two months. It wouldn't be a great feeling when you need to do work and other things on there.

I don't let people look when I give shots. Not because I think they won't do well but because people tense a little and flinch. They don't if they don't look.

Yeah, I could see that. It was okay. I had a little trouble sleeping, last night that I was already falling asleep in the chair anyways.

Btw.. You were right. I better be careful about what I wish for, because apparently a tropical storm/hurricane is heading my way pretty soon. Hah.

Rant: Sometimes I feel like deleting, deactivating or throwing everything away, as if it would help me feel any better or deal with any of my issues...

I keep missing messages, I just found this one.. I like that idea of transforming into a superhero! I have to get a little more disciplined with the daily and night practice, before bed...

I think we all feel this way sometimes. Especially if you're an artist of some kind, because you're always exposing yourself to the world. You're exposing your soul. It feels like being naked. I think the key for me is just, whatever I do, it has to be for myself first and foremost. That way, the opinions of other people can't destroy me. Because there will always be people who won't like you or your work. But that doesn't mean it isn't amazing. [I don't know if this has to do with your art.. just sharing ]

you basically answered the question ..

MoonageDaydream, yes it has to do with my art, but also not. My art is me on some level. I feel it doesn't express me to my own hope (expectation). I like having other peoples' art because I think on it, "how? how could they make this and why?", often not even thinking about the technique and more about the way the subject is expressed.

I guess I also find some irony in not having found so far someone who openly dislikes my work, nobody has ever communicated such feelings. And to me, that's worrying. I know my work isn't and won't be appealing to a mass audience (that's fine), but why is it also not openly disliked as it is openly liked? People so often dislike things so openly, so why not my work? Are they all too "respectful"? I feel a vague disinterest at times... Does that mean that they didn't feel anything or that they didn't like it? I can't know, since they haven't told me, after all. Is it better to assume one or the other, or perhaps neither, but then what are the other options?

Well, I guess it's pointless to think about these questions really, it's just that they and others of the same sort do come to mind often. My feelings when I made that rant were partly just those feelings, true or not, of feeling "stuck", frustrated, and so on.

Rant: So, the other day. we were coming home from being at a friend's house and it was late. We were talking about the von Trapp family because someone we knew was friends with the Von Trapp's. Then we talked about when WW2 started and stuff. We had just coffee before we left... I guess that was a good thing because while we were on the freeway 3 cars were speeding fast towards me in the opposite direction when two of the three decided to play chicken with us on the road and we near ran us off the road. We almost flipped.
The nightmare that night, I had I kept seeing the headlights and feeling myself jark awake...

My evening was kind of funny. My mom is kind of known for being a little neurotic and over-protective. Me and some friends were at the local gaming store playing, I accidentally had my ringer off. She actually called the store asking them to find me (they didn't see me, it was very crowded). Then, she was actually getting ready to drive down there, I get a text from my Dad.. "Mom is driving down there and will embarrass you. She will barge in and start calling your name. You better call her now." Luckily a friend was like "Wow. Your mom hasn't called you yet." I knew something was off... Yep, 16 missed calls.

For reference.. on my sister's honeymoon, my sister arrives at the bed and breakfast, and the lady says "Oh, hi there, welcome. By the way, your mom called."
