Thread: Rant and Rave, Cry and Complain

Everyone's been quiet here. Hope that means life is terrific!

My only rant is the inside of my cheek. I have a nice white patch of dead or battered skin because I've been chewing on the spot, in my sleep, for about a month. Gah! It's never bled. I guess I don't bite hard enough or something. It doesn't exactly hurt, but it does get sore.

I had another awesome dream last night, which is a rave.

So angry....

It's not healthy to not be able to express yourself. But since I'm at work, I can't. It only makes me angrier and more upset, to the point I just want to beat the shit out of.... someone.
I need to find a way to let this all out before I go insane, or actually do beat someone up.

Another laptop I was using ran out of battery, but I think its the power cord that's the problem. Hopefully if I replace it it'll work again. Kinda pissing me off since I've gone through 3 laptops dying on me the past few months. Nothing major though just my petty rant

I've recently been driving again after shoulder surgery in June and I need to vent about all the idiotic drivers on the road. It only takes a second to glance over your shoulder and to flip on the turning signal. I have had multiple people cut me off at an intersection by where I live because they fail to obey the highway only marks clearly visible if they get in the rightmost turn lane. I've also had idiots that cut me off when I've been doing 5MHP over the speed limit, even if the road ahead of me is clear. Very frustrated over the past few weeks. I'm saving up for a dash camera. I use my phone, but it heats up quickly and I have to turn it off.

Reported a driver the other day for cutting me off. He nearly preformed the pit maneuver on himself. Slammed on the brake and reported him to the highway patrol. I got a license plate but unfortunately I was so mad during my report that I forgot to flip my phone sideways so that I could actually see the plate :/

Thankfully the officer radioed out the incident for his cars to be on the lookout for the van.

Same here. Laptops hate me. I've gone through 2 this year. The first became infected with a BIO virus and on the other, all essential needs like wi-Fi don't work. I just recently got a Windows 8 computer and I'm frustrated with how difficult it is to get anything installed.

Agreed. I caved and watched one episode after making that post, and then figured 'screw it' and watched some more. So now I'm one episode from finishing the first season... but that's as far as I'll go until I finish the second book. Tyrion has definitely been the biggest letdown for me. On top of what you mentioned, he never even fights in the shows. I was pretty bummed about that, as those were scenes from the book I had been excited to see played out in film.


As for my rant: no overtime. Weak. When I first moved to this plant, we were on mandatory overtime for over a year straight. Since then, it's been scant. I guess that's how this building normally is though. We just had all the overtime because another company shut down and we got a lot of their clients' orders. Or something like that. Also, my 'boss' is moving to a different building now, which is a bummer because he's a great guy. On the plus side, the building he's going to gets more overtime. And they have a 'weekend shift' there. So I might keep my eyes open for a 1st shift weekend position over there... hours are roughly 4:30am - 2:30pm Thurs-Sun, three days off plus a higher pay rate on Sat/Sun... one of the guys I used to work with (and got along with well) works over there on that shift...

Grrrr... Extending rant. A guy was going 60+ in a 40MPH zone and nearly rear ended me today when I slowed down and stopped for a light. I could swear his wheels went a few inches into the air when he swerved around me and he also ran the red at the same time. Guess what? We arrived at the third light down the road at the same time. Would have loved to have had a "pleasant" little chat about going the speed limit. Unfortunately I was four cars behind him.

My Honda would have most likely flipped if there had been a collision with how fast that guy was going.

Can't stand shitty drivers. It's so pointless to speed 99% of the time. You end up getting maybe a couple of cars ahead in busy traffic, and in less busy areas you'll get to your destination like 1% earlier, and you'll use twice as much petrol than you would driving calmly.

My car has a thing showing how many litres per 100km I use. If I drive like some of those maniacs (I did just to test it out), it can go up to 12 litres per 100km. If I drive normally, 6.2 litres, and if I try to be really efficient I can get it down to 5. So much money saved, and I just chill out and listen to music and don't care if someone overtakes me. When I see them at the next stop light I just smile at them.

Rave: I had the BEST dreams I've had in a long time, I only remember little bits due to shitty recall, but it was awesome. Felt really good when I woke up.

Hell yeah Honda!! I drive a civic hybrid. I'm usually a very calm rational driver, but sometimes I get in a hyped up mood and find myself passing people (though i never speed unless I'm unaware of it), and then usually end up sitting next to them at the next light lol!! My big rule is to never stay in somebody's blind spot any longer than necessary - always either get up where you know they can see you or drop back so if they suddenly swerve into your lane they won't hit you. And always be aware of anybody in your blind spot too. I never used to think about the blind spots of other drivers until my friend mentioned it to me - he drove a tow truck and he knew the causes of most accidents - that being a big one.

I'm usually patient, but the past few days have been extremely stressful and filled with idiotic drivers. I'm getting tired of them. I'll admit I have made mistakes but I do learn from mine.

A guy quit on Wednesday after being gone for like 2 weeks. Since I started, he hasn't been at work for an entire week. Evidently, he has a bunch of family and health issues, but when pressed, I was told he wasn't very good. This helps my anxiety to know that getting fired is less likely than other jobs, but I am still overwhelmed by this near constant fear that "this is it." Job woes will be the death of me.

I'm very impatient with idiot drivers too. I don't flip them off or give them the bird or anything, lol, but I grumble a lot.

My rave is that I took the dog for a walk this morning to Exxon and we just got back from a proper walk. Before then, we hadn't been out since around July 4th!!!!
We headed out much too early today. I've never seen such traffic at 1:30AM. Even for a Friday (Saturday lol) it was ridiculous.

I'll be hiding inside for the most part this weekend. Our town has a huge yard sale weekend and all the crazy's attend. There are so many car accidents during this time.

Zhaylin. I felt good this morning, but now shit again, really shit. I'm gonna take some time off work to get away from these people. I need to get away from them, and be happy.

I'm beginning a bad drivers series on Youtube. I know it's been done before, and I found an app that lets me merge video clips after I have trimmed them on my phone.

Saw a big rig hit a bag of cement that hadn't been properly secured but I was a passenger at the time (not in the semi, but a different car) and all I really saw was the big cloud of dust ahead ahead of us. The load on the truck from which the bag fell off had one of the pallets like you see at Home Depot. Wasn't fastened at all, and was open. Some people are just stupid.

Another big complaint. You know those door to door salesmen from Spark Energy claiming they can save you money? Well another one stopped by today and was aggressive. Knocked twice and then argued with me about advertising in the apartment complex. Told me he spoke with someone that came out of the management office, but they are closed during the weekend. Next time I am calling the police. Especially if it's the same person.

I was really stupid when they came because I never heard of them. He asked me for a bill, and this was after having like 2 hours of sleep for several days, so I was barely conscious. I went to get it, my wife said no, and then he asked to use the restroom, and I let him. A total stranger. Nothing happened, but damn, was that stupid.

Sounds like you could use that break, Tommo. Go for it if you can. Do something fun and relaxing and JUST for you.

I got 7 1/2 hours of sleep this morning. I ate, took my meds, took caffeine an hour later and was sound asleep an hour after that That 1 1/2 hour nap seemed to help though. Storms woke me. Then the storms died down and I went out for food and it started POURING. I got soaked simply by rolling down my window to place the order and to pick it up! Then there was a blinding flash of lightning and thunder so loud it actually made me jump lol
It was great I do love storms.

My rant is that I had bad dreams during those 7 1/2 hours. I don't recall exactly what they were about other than my ex-husband and of being abused. Why do my dreams almost always turn him into a monster? He was a jerk, but he wasn't abusive.
I also dreamed of my grandmother on her deathbed. Blah. I hate emotional dreams.

A rave is that I found my e-juice online so I ordered 2 bottles. I got my Joe Latte with a flavor boost and some other flavor to try. I also found "EZ Duz It on Ice" but I'm not sure I like it enough to order again. It's nice, but it's a little too sweet.

Another rant is that I feel like I was punched on the jaw. It's the same side the I chew my cheek. I hope it's not a sign of infection or something. My lymph node is normal and I don't have a fever, so I probably just slept on it wrong. But how in the world can a person do that I still sleep on the desk, so maybe I banged my face down or something The desk is cushioned with blankets, so that shouldn't be possible, but who knows lol.

Time to clean my room and listen to some more of my pod cast...

ARGH! I slept at around 4am this morning, then woke up at 8am, but was supposed to wake up at 9am then had some dreams in between which I can't recall at the moment (oh wait I do remember one part where I was taking a shower and instead of my hair being wet from the water, the water was styling my hair which surprisingly remained dry...) Anyways, I stayed up for a bit until 9:30am and was supposed to do a WBTB but ended up sleeping until 4:30pm. The day is almost over and I was supposed to use the whole day to study for my exam this coming Thursday and then practise some job interview questions cause I have an interview on Tuesday #feelingstressed

Sometimes I wish I was a cat. I'd sleep, wake up to eat, then go back to sleep, wake up to lick my butt, then go back to sleep, then run around until I fall back asleep, then eat more and maybe just sit for a while before going to sleep.

I'm running on about three hours of sleep for the last two days. I think that's about how long my cat has been awake during the last two days. Not fair.

hahahaha, Geez... thanks for THAT visual. I tend to visualize the members here as their avatars, so I envisioned Erik (is that right, the guy from 'That's so 70's show') licking his junk before curling up for a nap

My rant is that I woke with a killer headache. It's finally died down but gah!-waking up really sucked. I'm also ranting that I need to buy new e-cigs. The batteries are finally going out in 2 of the three I have... and the third is questionable. To make matters worse, I'm out of my usual e-juice. I've slept in these last few days and haven't gotten to Smoker Friendly. I really wish they were open later than 7PM.

A rave is that my new e-juice should be arriving in the mail soon. I can hardly wait.
I've also been playing a ton of Junk Jack x and checking out creations on the JJ Forum.
The death smell is completely gone which I'm seriously raving about. We've had a lot of rain these last couple of days which suggests the bodies weren't under the house even but must have been very close beside it (the back yard is a jungle which we never see lol). The rain must have taken care of things.

Blah... I've been awake for all of 4 hours (after 8 hours of sleep) and I'm ready to fall into bed again. I'll try to push it til midnight...

Woot! I got my package today. The Joe Latte is even more amazing with the flavor booster... the experimental flavor... Blec What was I thinking? I dislike cloves. It's cloves plus vanilla so it's not intollerable, but I can definitely take it off my list.

Other than that, it's another nice, quiet day with incoming storms. Hopefully it will pass by midnight so I can walk the dog. We're just starting to get back into the swing of things.

I visited our local Vet on my way home from seeing my p-doc yesterday. It costs $135. to spay a cat. Seriously?! When I last spayed a cat was back in... ??? 2001 or so and it was less than $50. from the same place! The rabies shot is $18. and it used to be $5. What the heck?
The woman must have seen my dismay. I told her we had a slew of cats until they died of diarrhea and dehydration and now only three remain and I don't want them multiplying. She said both her clinic and the local pound have a program that takes care of everything for $40. They're full this time around, but she took my name and number. Hopefully, something will open before one of my girls gets pregnant!

It's sad looking at the larger picture. People used to bring me all their animals that were pound bound. I hate for critters to be sent there because it's an automatic death sentence. I provide food, shelter and lots of love but that's all I've ever been able to afford. But I've come to learn that taking in cats is a death sentence to future generations of cats. They multiply like crazy. From now on, people can just keep walking by my house and take their cats to the pound. The individual will die, which is sad, but there will be no kittens to worry about (and their kittens, and their kittens kittens )
Let me just spay the three remaining and leave it at that!

I get so annoyed whenever my body will not find a comfortable position. Especially when it comes time to sleep. It is probably from sitting down for 3 Hours in classes, which still gets me mad. It is part of the reason
I am still up at this time. The worst part is that I know that I have to do some sort of exercise to kill this tight feeling, but it will make too much noise. ( I only exercise with intensity lol)

Thanks Zhaylin! The interview went well actually and I got the job! It's not anything big, just selling some flavoured, all natural peanut butter at a trade show. They even gave me a small sample to bring home which was this dark chocolate banana flavoured one and it was super tasty!

I'm actually taking my cat to the vet today since he's been sneezing for the past few days. My cat needs to be neutered and get a few shots as well but I'm not quite sure about what prices of these procedures to expect. The last time my dog went to my vet, which was a few years ago for a check-up and a vaccination shot, the bill came up to $80!

I think it's very generous of you being able to take in those animals while you could but yeah, one can only handle so many cats/animals. I do hope that there will be an opening for your cat at the clinic before it gets pregnant!!
