Thread: Rant and Rave, Cry and Complain

I'm leaving due to personal reasons. Thank you for being nice to me, it was great knowing you all.

I registered for another class. I really want to take it, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to cover the tuition. =/

With college life I'm not very social so I haven't really gone to any parties, but just talking with people in class is good. I've had particular luck with labs, you're stuck in there for hours and can get some pretty awesome conversations going. Clubs can be fun. Until our university banned it I joined one that played Humans vs Zombies, and we have another for games, and one for hide-and-seek... all sorts of stuff. Even one for polo, iirc.

Does your uni do financial aid? Here I think you just need to be below a certain income. Also they have payment plans, if that helps at all. I'd also look up interest-free student loans, I got one and that combined with good budgeting will have me graduating with less than 2k interest-free debt. Just needed to have a decent gpa to get the money.

I tried to push start my motorbike today. It didn't work, so I had to push it back up the hill, did that twice.
Felt like I was about to die. Holy crap am I unfit. I almost threw up. Couldn't breathe enough oxygen. wth?
I exercise as well, just haven't run in a while, guess my legs are weak or something.
That seriously shocked me and I'm going to start running daily. I did not realise I was so unfit.... it's scary.

I'm glad you guys are talking about college... because it reminded me that I need to get back on that. I stopped taking classes after getting the 'engineering' job and hating it (I was going to school part-time for general engineering).

I'm going to be a bit less ambitious this time. I went online and changed my major to an 'electronic tech' diploma. I work in a factory now, so that diploma could get me an electrician job here. Somewhat of a waste, because none of the classes I've taken thus far count towards the diploma. But once I finish that, I might continue to make it a degree since the classes I've taken do count towards that.

I might be too late though for the upcoming fall semester. I believe most classes start next Monday. There's an online math class I could take that starts the second week of October, but it's not letting me add it, I guess because it's not part of my current 'major.' So I suppose I need to wait for the transfer? I dunno; I've always been lost in the world of 'college.' I don't even know how many credits I have, which I'm guessing is a simple question for most people since everyone seems to ask me that. As well as many other questions that result with my staring at them with a blank face.

A rave is that I finally made it to the gym two consecutive days! Well, with one day break in between, but that's intentional. I've been mopey and grouchy ever since changing jobs over a year ago, but even after transferring back out and starting 3rd shift I couldn't get back into it. My backs been bothering me, I've been feeling like crap, and I've probably lost weight. I can make all sorts of excuses, but really it comes down to me needing to get my shit together. And I've been doing progressively better the last few weeks. Honestly, weed actually makes 'getting my shit together' easier. It's somewhat meditative to me, as it's something I like to do at the end of my day to clear thoughts and reflect on what's important rather than stressing on the little, insignificant bumps in life. But alas, I've got another 3-4 weeks before the next harvest. Bummer.

My rant is that I woke with a horrible sore throat and swollen lymph nodes this morning. I've also NOT been walking at all. I tend to go to bed by 8PM and stay there until 9AM. I've been doing that for at least 2 weeks now
My eye is still bloody but I think that's cool And the back of the thighs are killing me from weeding yesterday. It was hubby's birthday so I decided to get rid of all the weeds growing along the wall of his driveway. I went to pick a patch of clovers and had a shock. I saw eyeballs staring up at me from the dirt under the wall. A frog had dug himself a nice hole. I left the clovers alone

I told Destinee she's going to have to "woman up" because she has a family to think about now and her friend Brittany can't stay with us much longer. My oldest son isn't allowd to be around minors and for the longest time, Destinee got away with it by telling him she was emancipated. The truth came out when she turned her mom in for abuse.

Which is a rant in itself. The CPS worker swore the report would be anonymous, but the State ended up picking her up from school and told everyone present that she had filed a report and they were taking her away for placement. They had her in rehab for 2 days and then they said "Oh, you're going home." and her step-dad came to pick her up and told her her mother's finished with her so she can't go home. When asked where to take her, she gave my house.
Which is why I broke down and told Destinee what I did. The step-dad picks Brittany up for school in the morning and my hubby is bound to see this exchange sooner or later. This just can't be going on any more.

I thought my blood pressure was through the roof because I can literally feel pressure in my eyeballs... but my pressure is actually very good. I didn't know stress could do that lol. Now I want to go back to bed....

I know I posed on here before. Last night I had to call the police because someone was partying at 1:15am in the morning. They were using a megaphone and racism in songs and had a stereo up at full blast. Thankfully, when the cops arrived, the party broke up. Unfortunately this looks to be common behind where I live so they might be seeing more cops if they have another party that late again. I tried to give them grace, but they were partying from 11:30pm-2am! That's what my other post was about in this forum.

Happens pretty frequently. I think that if you live in an apartment complex, it's practically inevitable. Luckily for me, I'm never actually trying to sleep during that time, so it's only an annoyance. I'd rather knock on their door before calling police, however. Unless they're being violent or something.

Just got off work. I LOVE driving down highways in the dead of the night, especially compared to the usual flood of traffic around 7 or 8am. Which is the main reason I went in tonight. There was barely any work beyond one important check (hence why someone needed to come in). So I knew I'd only stay about 4 hours and then drive home around 3am, and that was enough incentive. Well, that and the o/t money. But yea; night time cruising is just so relaxing and peaceful.

I had an insanely good night last night, though I am paying for a bit today. I also got Titanfall Deluxe for $21. This game just killed FPSes for me.

I am going write today. My wife and I are nearly done my final draft of my novel. I think I am going to self-publish this one via Amazon and StoryBundle (if they take it). I am feeling good about the work in it, but I am aware it isn't my best work at all since it took so long to write. My goal is to market the hell out of it, get interest in it, then write the sequels. If I am lucky, I may even get a good deal along the way, but honestly, I have a good enough job that I enjoy a lot. If nothing but reviews and people enjoying it happen, I am okay with that.

I ate too many macaroons at work and now I'm being punished with rainbow butt mud.

Sefalik, I used to love driving at night. I preferred it because fewer drivers are out and about... but I've come to really hate the deer. The prettier the night, the more alert I have to be.

No rants here. Hubby and I were supposed to go to Sams Club today so I ozonated and cleaned my car last night but hoped beyond hope that he would cancel... and he did So, I've had a nice relaxing day.
A rave is that I bought myself a coffee maker last night. I bought a small, 5 cup pot because it's really just a water heater for tea... which I'm hoping to start drinking more of. My Coke keeps disappearing and I can keep this and my teas in my room. I also bought some honey for the sweetener ... which doesn't need to be refrigerated
No plans tomorrow either. I REALLY need to clean my room, but I've been in no mood.

Okay... I guess a rant is that I've been paranoid lately. I keep thinking my kids are going to kill me in my sleep. What the heck. I told that to my oldest boy and said it might be because of some things from the news that my daughter brought up a few times. My son laughed and said "that, and Miley used to always say he was going to stab someone in their sleep.... I forgot all about that until now." So did I Maybe that's all it is. That and I've been HIGHLY annoyed lately. My daughter and her girlfriend are trying to get privacy so they're friggin ALWAYS in the bathroom. I tried to nap earlier and the shower ran for over an hour on low. They were just using it to drown out any noise they made... but it was friggin water torture. And my daughter also doesn't know how to turn the kitchen water on so the pipe doesn't shriek. I don't know why water's getting on my nerves so much but Gah!!!

My internet connection is crapping out on me - just thought I'd let everyone know - if I don't post for a while this is why. Hope to get it fixed soon. I'm keeping this short and sweet because I don't know how long I have before the internet breaks again, it comes and goes (I've only had a few minutes today with long periods of no-net).

Rave: so far so good - keeping fingers crossed. Maybe it was just screwed up for half the day and now it's ok, though it still takes ridiculously long for each new page to load.

Heya Dark! I hope your internet stabilizes! I loathe my internet shutting down. I feel cut off from the entire world I wake up, check my email, CNN, DV, FB and then repeat the process throughout the day. I also use my email as my home phone, so when that's down, I don't make calls (I have a cellphone but use it very sparingly). *sigh* I can't imagine what I did before the internet lol

My rant is that my ear is gurgly and I have a headache and my nose is itching me to death. I also have only 2-3 refills of Vanilla Kretek left It's the vanilla/clove e-juice that actually grew on me. I'm completely out of Joe Latte I should get money on my credit card on the 29th, so I'll buy more then. Until it arrives, I have my old standbys.

I did not care for the vanilla spice tea. I may have just used too many bags though. I bought a mason jar to use as a cup because it's glass, easy to clean and easy to cover (stupid fruit fly kamakaze divers!). It's larger than a small tea cup or coffee cup so I wasn't sure how many bags to use. I love the Chai tea though.

It's British satire from the 80's that stemmed from a throwaway comment made by the then prime minister Margaret Thatcher (or Mrs Reagan as I like to think of her) that "it's a funny old world".

Boredom, lack of life and good old sensationalism/bloodlust are some of the relevant factors, I've been seeing from the inside...biggrin.gif
I'm close to an existential crisis as to why I keep promising to write something, and then later come to the insight, it's not worth the while...gaah.gif

It's also because once people square off and pick sides they get tunnel vision and become mouthpieces for a particular ideology rather than thinking reasoning human beings capable of seeing things with any subtlety. I hate the way I change if I allow myself to get involved in an ideological argument, it's like I stop being me and just start to spout rhetoric. And I won't admit it to myself until after it's all over and I don't need to be that drone person anymore.

And yeah, today my internet seems fine, if still pretty slow. I have a sneakin' suspicion it's about go go haywire soon though, it's been acting increasingly weird.

My rant is that I had to take my daughters girlfriend to the ER. They were there for 2 hours and don't really know what's wrong with her. She has severe stomach pain and feared appendicitis. They gave her meds and sent her home with a followup for an ultrasound.

My rave is that I found my new favorite drink: Honey water. I just put water through my coffee pot, pour it into my cup and add honey I have no idea how much honey though I just pour some in then stir. I'll have to take note of how quickly I go through my bottle. It's probably about a spoonful (the standard one used with meals- not tea, not table.. what's that one called lol). Now I just have to see how my stomach handles it. I have no problem with soda so honey shouldn't be an issue either (knock on wood).

Now it's time for bed. Hope your internet holds up Dark.

Rant...Cant fall asleep before one or two in the morning, then get woke up at the crack of dawn for no good reason. Sheesh!

Bah can't sleep. Too much on my mind. Been working on making music on my computer for a long while now. It's almost 5 in the morning here and I just want to dream but can't get to sleep. Maybe I need more coffee... I feel like a zombie...
