Gordon, VR as in Virtual Reality? Hmmm. Part of me thinks VR would encourage LD and vivid regular dreams. But perhaps it makes people "lazy" in that they no longer feel the need to work towards it anymore.

      LucidBunnie. Feel better soon!!

Rants: I'm still itchy and rashy (it might be heat), but not intolerably so...
... I was wrong about the order of kittens. One of the twins died and then Ray culled Whitey because she was suffering a slow death. Now the other twin and Moby (and, of course, Spice) are knocking on deaths door. Spice is quite the little fighter though. She has vastly surprised me. If they can beat this initial sickness, they'll be fine. It's just really hard for kittens to do so...
... I'm sort of bored and listless. I've been spending a lot of time in bed to escape the flies (the mosquito net works wonders!!)...
... but I have a fat roll that irritates me to know end unless I'm sitting board straight in my chair. Reclining is just bothersome. I need to lose weight
... went to a wedding yesterday at our Farm. It was very nice but we didn't know anyone except for the guy who takes care of the Farm for us. We bugged out after the ceremony. Hubby took a pic of me which really made me realize how much weight I've put on.
      MeFarm2.jpg
It doesn't help that I was standing weird, but still.
That's my "50 gallon drum" of soda I'm holding. I'd probably lose all the weight just by not drinking that. But I'd sooner start exercising

Rave: The Bethesda convention looked promising. People tend to be jerks though. So Fallout, on-line, will probably just follow the way of Ark. I'm super excited that it takes place in my home state though. Very cool!

      ^ Awesome pic, Zhalin!
Rant: I have had my fair share of fake friends for this week. Ugh!
Rant: I've been flaking on my DJing lately. I don't have time to think about my own needs. I had a bad dream about someone who had an obsession with me when I was in college, years ago. He was caught loitering near my dorm in real life. Or bullying. Honestly, It's something that I will not tolerate in real life, then, now or ever.
Rant: My boyfriend has poison sumac.

Thanks IC. I hope your BF gets better quickly!!
My dreams have been suffering lately too. And I also had a bad dream last night but I don't remember a thing about it.

Rant: I've been extra hungry lately. And I'm craving junk. Junk is a normal part of my every day diet without these extra cravings
My period never showed up this month, so maybe that's what it is.

Rant: We're being over-run with spiders. I woke up earlier in the day, lounged in bed for a bit, then when I went to put my big pillow on a container beside me, I saw a huge Wolf Spider. On the INSIDE of my mosquito net I murdered him
THEN, I had a small spider run across my keyboard... and then there was another small spider ON MY BED. I rescued the one on my keyboard but killed the one on my bed.
I also think we had a large roach in the bathroom last night. I killed it too and it died easily which makes me doubt it was actually a roach There's some moths around here that look a lot like roaches.
All of the rain is driving all the bugs inside.

Rave: I've been enjoying my 3-D DS a lot lately. I'm about to go back to bed and get on it again.

Last 3 days has been an emotional roller-coaster! My mom who had no heart issues had a serious heart attack out of nowhere without a warning, was declared dead after taking to hospital, revived with weak pulse, put on artificial life support, gone into a coma with clots in brain, everyone lost hope, miraculously vitals improved, she's put on ventilator, regained consciousness, seems responsive. They say it's near impossible she hasn't suffered serious neurological damage. Long way before they can do procedure to remove blocks near her heart, but they are saying it's a miracle she survived and recovering. They say it's an act of overwhelming will to survive. I'm sad she's not fully recovered. I'll feel better when she has surgery to tackle the core issue that put her in a coma in the first place. Regardless a little happy as well, she came a long way after she been declared dead for few moments. I kept begging to do defibrillation and not just give up. They listened and did so. I'm glad they did.

I LOVE the rain, Mob... unless I have to be out in it lol. Then, it's okay as long as it doesn't drown me. I blame my dad (I actually blamed my mom, for decades, until I was recently correctly ). When I was a little kid, I was always told: "S@it don't melt." I never took it as an insult (yeah, I'm "slow"), but a humorous testament of will.
I definitely agree with you on not liking inconsiderate people though!

Wow, Lucid! I'm so sorry for the scare and the battles to come. I hope your mom makes a full and speedy recovery!!

Here's something I posted on FB. Maybe y'all could help.

"Okay, everyone, help me find a word.
A store is selling something that comes with free items. You're not really interested in what's being sold but you HAVE to have those freebies because they're exclusive.
So, you end up buying the item for the _____.

It's a slang word from my kids day. It's not loot or bling. It MIGHT be merch but that doesn't feel right.

That's how I'm feeling about the new Fallout game. Yeah, the game COULD be awesome (but it's on-line and people tend to be jerks, so meh) but those exclusive freebies that come with pre-ordering are calling my name (even though they're probably all "sold out" at this point in time )

That word's been bugging me for days lol"

Other than that, all is quiet. I'm about to head to Elkins to eat at the Steak place with hubby. It'll be nice to get some meat. I've been living on cereal, chips, pastries and Skittles for the last several days. I'm having carb and fiber overload and my stomach is not happy with me. (With gastroparesis I'm supposed to lay off the fiber)

I did find another roach in the bathroom last night. He got away before I could squish him so now I'm extra paranoid (I used to have as worse a phobia for roaches that some have for spiders). I'm going to buy a screen for the bathroom window next week and a tarp to cover the broken bathtub so the cats will stop using it as their literbox. Then we're going to scrub the walls and everything else.

The biting flies are also back in force. I have to spray down with DEET when I wake up and leave my netted area. They're persistent buggers if nothing else.

Also, Spice finally died the other day. The last three kittens will likely make it. They seem healthy other than some minorly gunky eyes.

Today’s rant is that I continue to be ridiculously hungry.
Usually, I have guidance- I crave meat, or carbs, or some particular veggie. Not so anymore. Now, I’m like some ravenous dinosaur that wants to consume everything in its path. What. the friggin. heck.
I feel like I’ve gained 10 pounds this past week alone.
And there’s no telling the hunger no, either. I feel like an addict when I try to deny it.
My blood sugar is fine. I have absolutely no idea what’s going on. It’s weird and EXTREMELY unlike me.

I am STILL incredibly and constantly fatigued.
Both of those rants are getting on my last flipping nerve.

Humorous: I no longer have a decent mirror. My mosquito net completely covers the one at my bed. I had no idea what my back looked like (what with all the bug bites or rashes and scratching). So I took a pic. Do y’all have any idea how hard it is to take a pic of the middle of your back
Thankfully, it’s at the top of my back so it was doable. The pic sucks but it shows a whole lot of nasty scabs.
I have no new bug bites. The mosquito net and applying DEET after I wake up seem to be doing the job of keeping me covered.

I visited mom first time after she recovered from coma. She's disoriented and gets people confused. She thinks it's the year 1997. Hopefully she'll improve with time. T^T

I was born in 1997. Sorry to hear about your mum, that must be incredibly difficult. My grandma has dementia and it's a horrible disease. I can't imagine how I'd cope if one of my parents had it

I hope your mom becomes stronger and more lucid every day.

My husbands mom had alzheimer's so I used to worry a lot about him inheriting it. But he'll be 75 this summer so I think he's in the clear (well, for "early onset" anyhow...)

Heh, I tried making a quick muzzle for the pup (just looping a leash around the snout and tying it off behind the head). He got it off each and every time, lol, but he didn't freak out about it. He didn't LIKE it, but he didn't freak. I gave him treats for being my test subject.
I'll definitely have to buy a real one. I looked up info about crocheting them, but I don't do measurements and "increasing/decreasing" stitches.
I want to get him something durable but not scary looking. I also have to buy those Chill Out pills. I think the dog park has opened back up (it was down for improvements).

But my priority, right now, is the house. The stench from the bathroom is killing me. It's also contributing greatly to this fly problem. These flies gotta die. Every time I seem to make any headway and kill them off, others just replace them. I could probably use tarp as the wall sized "access panel" to the shower as well as blocking the tub. BUT, if I close off that access, the tub wont be a problem anymore.
I need to buy a million Magic Erasers, bleach, mothballs, 2 new brooms and a couple mop heads tomorrow night. Bah!! Oh yes- and a window screen!!!!

Rant: I did something to the pinky on my right hand. I pop the lowest knuckles of my fingers by pulling the finger into my palm with my thumb. Doing so, hurts and has for the last few days. Making a fist is uncomfortable. Even popping the joint by pulling it out in uncomfortable. It's not swollen though and poking and prodding it doesn't bother me. So it's probably muscle strain.

      Rant: This ungodly heat!!

Rant: Gas. I think I was doubled over from pain last night. I ate some cereal this morning and now that pain is returning. I need to lay off the fiber and bulk. Or maybe it's the Skittles... hmmm.

Oddly enough before the coma as a result of heart attack and stroke, mom was the most sharpest person in the family (other than me). Almost everyone is dependent on her for guidance and stuff. She never had any memory problems before the coma. So it's not an age thing. Doctors say from the CT scan they don't see any damage to the brain so it's very likely she'll overcome the disorientation and memory fragmentation. They are still calling it a miracle she came out of the coma. I'm hoping for the best. She already beat the odds and survived so far. I'm sure she'll make a full recovery. ^^

I'm glad you're in high hopes, Lucid. I imagine it would take a person a while to gather their wits after all of that!!!

Rant: My AC is crapping out or something. It's as low as it can go and the fan is set on high and my room still felt like it was in the 80's today. At night, it does better. It just can't keep up with the heat we've been having. But my room is tiny and it's specked for a larger area so it should work. It's getting very old though.

Rant: These flies are still getting on my last fliggin nerve!

Rave: I preordered Fallout 76 tonight. Now I just have to get the internet modem fixed so I can actually stay connected for the BETA when it drops.

Rave: I bought most of the supplies I need to work on the bathroom. I'll be tackling that tonight/tomorrow.

Meh: I tried lancing a something on the back of my neck earlier. I had my daughter hold a mirror behind me and I used my iPad camera as a front mirror. It was useless I ended up lancing by feel and I made several goes of it but never got quite deep enough I tried "popping" what I did manage to cut and it bled some which helped bring the swelling down a little, but... meh. Not quite good enough.

RAVE: I was just about to rant about momma dog but then I saw the date! She's been bloodying herself rubbing up against stuff to scratch her back. BUT, she actually goes to the Vet in just a few more days I don't particularly like the vet she's going to, but he's better than nothing. I don't know what her problem is. I haven't seen a single flea yet this year (knock on wood). Something's bothering her though. Between her ear tumor/cyst to her bloodying herself scratching, momma dog is miserable. I hope he can do something for her (that we can actually afford). I was reading that the general cost for tumor removal is 3k. We couldn't afford that even if we saved for an entire year.

Rave: I saw this beauty at the pickup window at Burger King last night. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_leopard_moth I tried to take a pic of him with my camera and the employee looked at me, curious, so I told her about him. Her reaction was priceless. She was not interested in the least I’ve never seen anyone react that way to a moth before.

Rants: my room didn’t start really cooling down until around 5AM
I’m hyper sensitive to the bathroom smells. I could hardly sleep. Even my peppermint diffuser didn’t help. I ended up putting some vapor rub under my nose at around 7AM

Curiosity: I dreamed of tornados this morning. Usually I dream about them during times of high stress (like before a trip). I also usually just dream of seeing multiple funnels in the distance and I marvel in fear. This morning though, I never saw a funnel. I was driving and saw tree limbs and trees being thrown across the road. A car in front of me was lifted up and thrown. I quickly turned the car around and tried to get out of its path but I was picked up too. I told my hubby I loved him then he was sucked out of the window.
I then passed out in the dream and came to surrounded by people (no car lol). The first driver was a reporter and she didn’t make it. ...

Rant: my fingers really hurt. It’s still mostly my pinky but others are aching too (even on the opposite hand). So maybe it’s actually arthritis and not muscular like I thought. Hmmm...

      Tornado warnings, IC?

      Thanks for trying, SpellBee
I don’t think it’s perks either. It like when you have a word at the tip of your tongue but the back of your brain lol. It’s like I can ALMOST remember and then *poof*; it just evaporates.
Merch feels the closest though (“merchandise”).

Rant/Rave: I spent $45. at the Dollar Tree on mostly cleaning stuff. I also got some TP and PT seeing how Walmart has been sold out of our stuff for the last several trips they got some other sort of cheap paper towels which aren’t nearly as good as the cheap stuff I had been getting.
I also got 3 laundry baskets seeing how my daughter can’t seem to keep her clothes out of the bathroom she also refuses to friggin move her shower stuff which annoys me to no end. 5 people sharing one bathroom does get tedious after a while

Miley made great headway with the cleaning. I didn’t even have to get up to help or motivate. You know it’s gotten pretty bad when my kids willingly clean something
I now have about $3. to my name until Monday... which is the Rant part.

Curiosity: I fell right back to sleep after my earlier post... and I dreamed about tornados again Except these were the more typical tornados, only smaller (I think of them as “dust devils”). And the dream brought with it more of that feeling of wonderment mixed with terror. I was a passenger in this dream (very unusual for me lol) and the driver was a cousin I haven’t seen or spoken to in over 25 years (but think about often because he keeps popping up as recommended on FB )

Well well well, this seems familiar. Me forgetting about lucid dreaming and dreamviews for months/years and then randomly remembering . Well time to give it another crack. I've missed all you wonderful people haha . Whats going on in my life; I'm halfway through my third year of uni,on holidays now, doing excel and website odds and ends for my my mum's work, have been going to the gym for the past 6 months or so, am attempting to grow a beard lol. I need to basically restart lucid dreaming from scratch I feel, and go for a scientific approach if I want to get serious. I have been remembering a decent amount of dreams, even if my sleep schedule is a bit wacky at the moment, but not really any lucidity for a few years now as I haven't been putting in any effort whatsoever. I'll read up over the holidays though and try to regain the little ability I once had haha. I hope everyone is doing well.

Welcome back, Blair! Sounds like you life is going very well.

      **EDIT**
Rave: M&M, the "feral" bathroom kitty has warmed up to me after three years or so. He also peeks his head out from the blank space behind the shower, looking for food. We've always given it to him either there or on the bathroom counter. When I put it on the counter, I'd sneak in pets. Now, when I'm on the toilet, he'll come over to me and rub against my legs. He's still really wary though. And now that we're blocking the shower, I'm afraid he's going to become more feral again.
Yeah, the shower still hasn't been walled off with that tarp. athe heat has been intolerable.

Humorous: I fell down I was chasing/playing with the puppy on the way to the house and I slipped in mud I mostly just slid though. My foot was caked in it but where I landed on my butt, I was hardly dirty.

Rant: I have a sore throat and a concerning bloody-blistery spot at the crevice to my right tonsil. I hope it's just from me deviling it, trying to force out tonsil stones... but you can only see it WHEN I devil it, lol, so it's not something I can easily monitor without irritating.

My youngest daughter is honeymooning in Mexico and she's sick now. She says she didn't drink the water. I hope she gets over it quickly so she can enjoy the rest of the trip.

Rant: My stomach is mad at me. But it's not from too much fiber for a change lol. Cocoa Pebbles seem to be better than Frosted Mini Wheats, except it messes things up in other ways (Diarhea instead of bloating and constipation Can't win for losing rofl)

Rant: My allergies have been in overdrive. I blame all the half-hearted cleaning that's been going on. It's enough to stir up trouble but not eliminate it. Bah!

Rave: My bell flower plant has come back to life and is doing marvelously. I saw a fly "hovering" over one of the leaves and couldn't figure out what he was doing for the longest time.
Here's a pic. Hint: He's not "hovering" at all.
      Fly.jpg

I was so busy marveling at that sight that I nearly missed another. Miley pointed it out to me.

Bah! Everyone's in stealth mode again

Rant: 24 days late, but my period finally showed up and it brought an extreme backache with it (as well as rage and reckless impulsiveness). I nearly got into a head-on wreck yesterday (before my period was even officially here) because someone decided 35 mph in a 55 mph zone was a good idea. As soon as I could legally pass him, I floored it. But I think he sped up too. And then a car showed up in front of me but I was too raging to fall back behind the slow poke.

Rant: My allergies and aching fingers are driving me bananas... still. I need to wash my bedclothes (why are they called that? Every time I write it, I think people will think I mean PJ's when I actually mean sheets and blankets). My allergies are worse when I first wake up, so I think my pillowcases are the biggest culprits.

Rant: The fleas have finally surfaced. I blame myself for having murdered 1 (possibly 2) very large spiders in my bedroom. They were probably eating all the fleas. (not likely, but I feel guilty about the silliest stuff and that scenario keeps replaying in my brain).

Rave: My daughter fed me cabbage, keilbasa and potatoes for breakfast. It was PERFECT. Just a little bit of salt. She thought it was bland but to me it was ideal.

Rave: Hubby's going to be getting me a new AC. Unless I can get this one cleaned and working properly. With the way my back is hurting, though, I probably wont be trying to clean it for at least a week. (I have to take it out of the window; figure out how to get the casing off of it then get it a thorough scrub.) I laughed and told him he can see where my priorities in life lie. I told him I'd feel too guilty asking him for a new AC when he's getting me a new iPad when it comes out. I'd much rather have toys than comfort He told me he could do both and not to worry about it.

Rant: My daughter dropped the ball with momma dog. They had unexpected bills so she had to cancel the vet appointment.

Sad Humor: Momma dog was too smelly the other night, so I figured I'd drag her into the shower. I put on her collar and leash. Turned the water on and got it warm. I got into the shower and expected to have to drag her in (as usual), but she walked right in without so much as a whine. You know things are pretty bad when she willingly takes a bath!! But actually, I think she knew the warm water would make her irritated skin feel better. She's been known to howl during showers because she dislikes them that much. Not this time. She seemed to absolutely love it. I'll have to shower her more often but I need to google first. She's part black lab and frequent baths are bad for their natural oils.

      I hope everyone is well.

Non-Lucid: Had a weird experience when I was listening to one of those stupid hypnosis things. I think I was dreaming. Everything was going fine with it, then all of a sudden, there was an image of this guy appeared in my head. He was tall, thin, like a stick figure with a red plaid shirt and blue jeans. He had no face. Nor did he have eyes. It was dark except for the dream was lit only by some car headlights. There was this black mist around him as he was standing in the path that leads down to the turkeys and the woods. When I saw him, he made me jump enough he broke my trance. He was just standing there. I had that feeling when you get a shock to the system. You know that sinking feeling and sudden sadness.
I guess, this happens to the best of us. I think it was because someone who was messaging me last week. The person was stalking and bullying me. I don't know. I don't currently know who they are. I block who I think they are but, they make other accounts another website telling me that I'm a horrible person. The only thing I can do is not to react to their stupid bullying. I mean, If someone comes to you with a gift, and you do not accept it, who does the gift belong to?
The same goes for envy, anger, and insults. When they are not accepted, they continue to belong to the one who carried them. Whoever it is, it's all about control.

That's a great interpretation of the dream! I'm so sorry you have to deal with a troll though You have a terrific attitude though. I hope they get bored and move on soon.

Rant: Endometriosis. I'm 98% sure that is what I have. My back is spasming like mad. I'm 44 years old. I hope I don't have to deal with this too much longer. Nothing has ever showed up on standard tests but it makes sense. Why has my Cymbalta stopped working for the pain. Has it just lost its effectiveness or has the condition worsened? Blah. Being female truly sucks sometimes lol

Rant: The dogs are getting on my last nerve. But they can't help it and, well, EVERYTHING has been getting on my last nerve
Fleas are driving them bananas and they're trying to scratch their backs on everything which drives me bananas. That plus the whining. So, instead of snapping at them for something they can't do anything about, I just banished them from my room. I feel like a jerk but I'd feel like a bigger one for losing my patience at their misery.

Other than that, all is peaceful. I bought a fan last night but my AC seems to be keeping up okay for now.

One day left and my curse should be behind me for another month or more. At least I wasn't in agonizing pain today. I was actually even somewhat productive.
      Somewhat

Hubby's getting me an AC tomorrow... er, today. I've been trying to finish cleaning my metal cabinet and the surrounding area. But I didn't get started soon enough and now I'm about to drop. I have to be awake early to get my allergy shot and then go shopping, so I HAVE to go to sleep.
And my back is starting to hurt again anyhow, so....

I did make great progress though. I even got 2 loads of laundry done and I re-hung a coat rack that's been lopsided for months; and then I got a shower. Now, I'm going to fall into bed where I'll toss and turn for 2 hours before falling asleep, only to have to be a wake at 9:30. Bah!

      **EDIT**
Bah! is right. I tossed and turned until 5AM and then woke at 8:30 because something was biting me. Or I was dreaming about something biting me lol. My allergies are also annoying me with itchy eyes and PND. I didn't take any of my meds before bed so that, plus cleaning and stirring up dust did me in (I take Benadryl at bedtime).
It's going to be a VERY long day...

      ***EDIT***
The neighbor tried telling me something as I was taking the dogs out. I couldn't hear him, so I got closer. The puppy doesn't like the neighbor. His mom started barking, pup got distracted by her. Mom decided neighbor was no threat so she started rolling around in the grass to scratch her back. Pup takes that as his invitation to attack her ("playfully", like he always tries to do when she does that). Pup knocked me over. I went to reign in his leash and he tugged again.
      Rope Burn
The neighbor said he'd help but the pup doesn't like him. I laughed and told him it was okay (while I was still on the ground ) Then pup got all fierce and barked at his mom. Mom barked back at him for a change. I then told her to go inside so he'd calm his butt down. The neighbor had quietly been slinking off toward his house

Rave: I got my AC. I'm not going to tackle it until later though. I'm too hot and frazzled. I don't know if the rope burn is bad enough to blister, so I might not want to wait too long.

I hope everyone's day is going better than mine

      ****EDIT****
Rave: I got my AC installed. It was an absolute BEAR fiddling with and I nearly fainted from the heat... but I got 'er done. My room feels SOOOOOO friggin wonderful right now.
In the process of dumping the old one out the window and cleaning them, I found 2 spider nests. The first one was small and popped right away. The other one was behind a piece of wood I use to make sure my window doesn't open. It was huge and I thought it was dead. Just as I was finishing with the installation, it popped and hundreds of tiny babies went everywhere.

Nah. It's all good. If they eat our flies and fleas, I will be grateful I scooped the majority of them up with a paper towel and threw them out the window too.
I am NOT looking forward to having to clean my mess tomorrow lol.

I still haven't cleaned the outside mess. It's too hot and I'm still too sore. It's crazy how sore my hips (buttocks) are. I had to balance the AC in the window at one point, and I held it in place with my knee (getting those "sleeves" onto each side).
      I've been ridiculously sleepy.
I've been shaving the dogs My daughter-in-law just told me we're going to have the humane society called on us
I'm using an electric dog shaver (bought a cheap one). It's slow work though because it keeps overheating. Poor momma dog has sores all over her back from scratching. I'm hoping this will help, like shaving people helps with head lice.
I then rubbed Calamine lotion all over her back (what I've managed to shave anyhow- just her mid-line to her rump). I think her previous owner must have used a shaver on her because she's been very compliant.

The puppy on the other hand He HOWLS. It's his version of talking. When he doesn't like something, he yells at you to let you know I've not gotten very far on him at all. His fur seems more diffiuclt to cut even though his moms seems thicker.

Rant: My room smells especially musty today. Is the new AC not draining? If it's not, the water isn't old enough to smell musty so what the heck? It's triggering yet another migraine.

Rant: Hubby is off from work all this week. He wants to want to do something. Anything. But he's unmotivated and uninterested in everything we can think of. It's going to make him grumpy and depressed. I wish he was OKAY with doing nothing. But no. If he's not productive, he's "worthless". And then he ends up grumbling at me for not being any better in the motivation department; which ends up making him feel even more grumbly and depressed.
The real kick in the butt is even when we do pull some idea out of the air and DO something, he ends up getting grumbly anyhow Can't win for losing.
Then he apologizes for being a jerk. Depending on his mood, I can usually laugh it off and say I knew how all this would play out and he'll either laugh with me and get more sulky. I don't take his moods personally anymore (98% of the time). He is who he is. I love him even when he is a pain in the rear.

Hope everyone is surviving the heat and enjoying their summer.
