Humorous: I've traumatized the poor puppy. They're so flea-ridden that I've been shaving them. ha!- I did already write about that (had to check). I've not touched them, with the clippers, for a couple of days but the pup refuses to stay in my room. He'll stick his head in to peek at me; or he'll run in and drink a bunch of water then dart back out. He never sticks around for more than a few seconds Big baby.

Rant: headaches. They're mostly nothing (a 2-3 on the pain scale), but gosh if they're not friggin constant.

Rant: The bathroom floor has been making a weird creak when I get up from the toilet. If the water damage has indeed spread as far as there, then there's no hope for the house. Or me, seeing how my room is right beside it. I need to get under the place but doggone it, I don't want to. I am out of my element and way out of my depth. And it's a friggin hopeless cause that WILL BE MADE WORSE by me fiddling around. Hubby just cannot seem to grasp that.
There's only partial skirting around the modular (forgive my interchanging of terms for what I call my domicile lol. It's a modular home, so it's a "house", but it's built like a low end substandard trailer). There's the ground, then 1-3 feet clearance (depending on which end you're at), then PLASTIC, insulation, pipes, wires, floor. BY REMOVING THE PLASTIC (which I can't- for the life of me- replace) I expose everything else and when Winter rolls back around there's more unprotected pipes which freeze and further break.

But it is what it is. What the kids fail to realize is that they're adults. When the home falls down around me, I'll either move in with hubby or into the huge garage or something. The kids will be out on their butt.
Then again.... maybe that's what hubby's hoping for

I don't overly stress about all of this. "It is what it is" truly is my mantra. But I hate the home going to pot and my inability to fix it. It frustrates me more than anything else.

Other than that, it's been a fairly peaceful week. Hubby and I have done nothing (other than going out to eat yesterday) and yes, he's been grumbly about it But not as grumbly as he usually is.

Rave: I was out in a storm the other day. A beautiful double rainbow peeked out afterwards. It was funny, but you'd swear my town has never seen a rainbow before. Lots of people were out and about taking pics of it.
Oh yeah, while I was taking pics, lol, I saw either a drone or just a model helicopter. I watched it for some time and took a couple of pics of it too but all of those were crap.

Meh. My desk top is annoying me. You know those entertainment centers you buy that have ???
I really hate trying to describe and explain things lol. I'M NO GOOD AT IT!
Anyhow... it's old and made of particle wood. The varnished top layer has been off in spots since before I've been using it. But it's getting worse and little pieces of the wood keeps scraping off onto my arms and wrists.
You can't really sand this, can you? I mean, what good would it do since it's MADE of tiny pieces of wood? I need to, maybe, apply another layer of varnish. But because everything's so lumpy/bumpy/flaky would the varnish even adhere properly?

I'll have to try one night before I go to sleep then crank my AC and hope it dries by morning. My room is exceptionally humid (which I don't mind one bit), so I doubt it would dry fast enough. I can't really remove it, though. I could, but then I'd have nowhere to place my PC etc.

Rant: Arthritis in my hands and toe have been bothering me. My hands have been giving me grief for a couple of weeks now but my toe just started a couple nights ago. I've been taking glucosamine, which contains shellfish, so I thought maybe the arthritis is gouty. I googled it though and it's synthetic exoskeleton blend which doesn't contain the purines which aggravate gout. So, I guess it's just age

Rave: I know I've said this several times already, but I FRIGGIN LOVE my "bed" and even moreso now that I know I can use it to pop my back.
Not only that- if I hang just my head off the edge backwards, I can pop another hard to reach spot in my neck.
I REALLY need to finish organizing and tidying my room. I think that every day. Not just for the usual reasons, but because one of these days, I'm going to fall off my bed, break my neck and kill myself and I keep thinking "What will people think when they come remove your body?"

I hope everyone is alive and well

Rave: My face feels as soft as a baby's behind after I used the L'Oreal's pure sugar scrub smooth and glow. I just bought it yesterday. LOL. My life has been boring. Nothing to write home about.

I couldn't believe my eyes when job postings are looking for those holding a bachelor's degree, but are only willing to pay them $9/hr. Who knew that there was so many possibilities with a college degree? Even though I'm just looking for a second job on the side, it just puts things into perspective for me. I guess the saturation is really becoming apparent.

Rave: As much as I'm annoyed of full-time job positions masqueraded as part-time to bait people in, I'm happy that my concern is just finding ways to make more money. I also got my windshield replaced for free; really thought it was just bleeding, 'scam, scam, scam.' But, it happened! I've been eyeing that small crack while this whole transition was on the forefront of my mind instead.

I will occasionally dream of celebrities from movies. I am a huge music fan and sometimes dream of musicians or bands, which is freaking awesome.
      1. The always appear clearly in dreams, maybe hyperclear because of who they are.
      2. I think they act like characters they portray, or in the musicians' cases they probably act how I think they would off stage.
      3. Most of the time I'm oblivious to the fact that they are celebrities. Its like they are a normal part of my life. Sometimes I'll go fan crazy but it's rare.
      4. I usually am the star of such dreams, not in the flashy red carpet sense, just that it's my dream and my dream universe usually revolves around me.
      5. I think they appear because they have percieved qualities that I admire and might want to emulate. It feels good to be with them, equals to some degree, so much so that if feels natural and I never think to reality check when in the company of a celebrity.

I've always wanted to try scrubs and such, IC. I'm too cheap to give in though
My youngest uses some weird foot mask (?) that peels away dead skin in a rather disgusting manner.

Link, Wow! Glad you got the work done for free! I can't remember how much it cost to replace my windshield but it was a pretty penny.
And yeah, I'd never be able to find a job. I'm now 44 with NO reference-able job history (babysitting as a teen, fast food as a teen and a stripper for 3 months in my 20's lol Oh yeah, and a Frozen Yogurt Shop as a teen but under the table). I am very glad I don't have to worry about that!!!

Rant: I've been sleeping like crap.
Rant: I was without my Cymbalta for 1 1/2 days so last night I was feeling the last of life without meds Adrenaline surges kept waking me up. I was fairly miserable yesterday but all is well now.

Rant: My beloved Caffeine pills have been absolutely killing me lately. You know how when you take a pill and sometimes it dissolves a little in your mouth before you swallow it? I kept having that taste in my mouth the last 2 days (though not today). I always took it with food AND I properly swallowed it. My stomach felt like someone punched me in my gut so I figured the taste was just some sort of reflux.

Meh: We started with 9 kittens (I think it was). We were down to 2- Ginger and Maaria. As I was leaving the house the other day, I saw 2 newer kittens peeking at me. One of our cats, Mew, had been pregnant. But then she wasn't. She is a teeny tiny cat, so I thought she lost them. Nope. She had them at the back of the house. They're starting to explore so we're trying to get them used to people now. There's 3 that we know of.
Ginger and Maaria probably wont make it. Maaria has a belly full of worms but she's too tiny to medicate. Ginger is infested with fleas (and, again, too tiny for flea drops).
      So...

RANT: The fleas had a late start, this year, but they have arrived with a vengeance. I got the dogs some drops last night because showers with flea shampoo and shaving them (somewhat ) just wasn't doing the job.

Rave: My plant is going to flower again this year

I think my dog might be dying. His coat is very grey, he seems lethargic and generally a bit sad. He's also been very sooky as of lately.

What a handsome fellow, Yuppie! I hope he's just under the weather and feels better soon.
      What's "sooky"?
How old is he? He doesn't look very old.

Rant: One of Mew's baby's died.

Rave: But one of the remaining 2 is absolutely stinking adorable. I call her raccoon eyes because her eyes seem very large and dark.
But I got to hold her yesterday and I looked her over and neither of those things are actually true She has "eye liner" which make it seem like her eyes are darker (on an otherwise white with gray spot/splotched face). Her eyes do seem to be a bit more rounded and large, but not unusually so. I think she's just going to take after her mom if she lives (Mew is exceptionally slender and wide eyed- she's not under nourished or unhealthy. She's just always been very sleek and slim).
I gave the kitten cuddles yesterday seeing how she lives at the back of the house in all the water damage. I didn't wake up with any hives whatsoever.

      QUESTION/exercise (for everyone):
Feel your throat, just under your jaw. With your tongue flat, smash it against the roof of your roof and keep it there. You should feel the muscles in your throat harder. Do you now hear a high pitched ringing in your ears (only while you do the exercise)?
I was laying in bed, the other night, suffering from those adrenaline surges. I kept trying to find a way to describe them to people. Just before a large wave comes, I hear that ringing in my ears (without tightening those muscles though). But then I was curious and started asking my family if they hear the ringing. They don't. Neither does my hubby lol.

Okay, here's another question. Can you pop your ears without pinching your nose closed and blowing (I call this particular thing "opening my ears" because it doesn't quite feel the same as popping them) I asked hubby this one and he said he can pop them, sometimes, can by yawning. I said, yeah, it's like that, but it's yawning with your mouth closed. He laughed and said I'm the only person he's ever met who can actually do that So, I guess this question is actually 2. Can you "open your ears" or pop them as described and Can you yawn with your mouth closed?

I don't hear the ringing you describe. What's causing these adrenaline surges?
I can indeed do the ear popping thing. I've never really thought about it, but it is pretty weird right. I wonder how I learned to do it. It's very strange, because you're commanding control over a part of your body that you never really manipulate.

My stupid, treacherous body causes the adrenaline surges. For.No.Reason. They've been the bane of my existence for 18 years. Anti-anxiety meds keep them at bay for the most part (THANKFULLY!!!)
I don't really even know if they're truly "adrenaline" surges. That's just what they feel like. Like, if you get a sudden fright and you get that jolt of adrenaline. Only, I feel them almost exclusively in my face. When I'm without my meds for any length of time, I'll have those surges every minute of every day forever. But they come in waves. BOOM- a wave comes, I hear that "noise", I feel a jolt, my face tingles. Then I have lesser tingles until another big wave comes.
      It's exhausting.

When my son woke up yesterday, I asked him my questions. He doesn't hear the noise but he can make his ears pop. So can my oldest daughter. My oldest was like you and thought it strange, but then he thought of people who can fold their tongue (it looks like a 3 way fold- not the basic roll). And then I thought of people who can wiggle their ears and nose. Heh. Or what about those people who can squirt what they drink out of their eyes Now that is cool.

Rants: Slept like absolute poo again Woke up too early I have to get to the store at some point today
Otherwise, it's nice and peaceful. Of course, I have no idea if hubby's going to want to do anything yet. He'll be up and about today, which might make him eager to do something.

Meh: I still have a bit of a fever today. But I feel fairly fine lol. I have some slight body aches (and the stupid arthritis in my fingers and toe haven't subsided by much) and I woke with a very slight earache, but that's it. I am freezing, so I had to completely turn off my AC.

Hope everyone is well and has a great day!

Zhaylin, hearing about all your ailments makes me weary about getting older. I loathe the day that I discover I don't just bounce back from everything anymore. You know when you're younger and whatever sort of injury you sustain just kind of magically heals all on its own? I feel like beginning to develop all sorts of chronic niggles would be kind of depressing.

      Anyway, enough about our mortality

Rave: I'm taking my motorbike out for a ride for the first time today. In Australia while you're on your learners motorcycle license you need to have someone supervising you who is also on a motorbike. So, my neighbour agreed to take me. He's an old stereotypical biker guy. Even rides a Harley! I've gotta admit, I'm a little nervous. The ironic thing about the mandatory safety course you take before you're allowed to ride, is that you never go above 20 Kilometres an hour, and you never leave the parking lot. But, immediately after that they turn you loose and it's then completely legal to ride on a highway at 110 kilometres (About 65MPH). Anyway, I'm sure I'll be fine, just natural anxiety and all that.

Heh, because of my genetics, I've always had some health problems and lots of aches and pains.
The worst part of getting older is the change in metabolism. I was 98 pounds until right before 30. When I was younger, I could skip a couple meals and my weight would bounce right back to being low. Now, it's like I just think about eating a cake and I'll gain 10 pounds
The change in my weight has definitely been the worst thing about getting older because it was such a drastic and sudden switch!

Have fun riding!! How would a hermit get a license though? I guess it's similar with a car though. It's that way in the States too (for cars anyhow). You can only drive at certain times and you have to have a licensed person with you.

When I first started driving, I was 21 years old or so. I finally had my real license and had a Dr appointment on the other side of town. I took a wrong turn and ended up on the Interstate. I was terrified. There's a large FBI compound that was just getting built at the time. I turned off the interstate, trying to figure out how to turn around and I ended up at the gates to the FBI. I was in tears, afraid I'd get shot or arrested or something The guards were so confused by my lack of composure and pointed the way I needed to go.
THAT'S when my anxiety started to become severe. Which is weird because I absolutely love to drive.

Not even a year after that, I met my hubby, and a few months after that he bought an RV on a whim. We were at a medical conference in New Orleans. We flew down but drove the RV back home to WV. He drove for, maybe, an hour then handed the job off to me. I've been the driver ever since. That's when I first noticed those adrenaline surges.
All in all though- Good times
There's nothing quite as satisfying as being independent and driving.
I've never driven a bike though.

Rant: I'M SO SLEEPY!!!! I'm going to have to break down and take a nap
      Bah!

I also really enjoy driving, except when I'm stuck in traffic, because I have a manual transmission, and so the stop and go pace is a bit tedious. Although, having said that, who likes traffic at all anyway...
Never ridden a bike, eh? It's never too late to start!
I woke up incredibly anxious about riding the bike. I rationalised to myself that I was being ridiculous, but it was pretty hard to overcome. Anyway, I jumped on my bike with the intention of riding it down to my neighbour's house just down the road. My driveway is super steep, and so I either didn't use enough precision with my clutch control and throttle and stalled it, or I used so much to overcompensate that I would make the bike shoot away from me and I'd have to slam the brakes. It was pretty embarrassing. Anyway, after that setback, my neighbour and I set off and everything went perfectly. I rode really well, and didn't really make any errors except for a couple stalls and a few unclean take offs. I ended up going 60MPH, it was exhilarating. There's something very liberating and surreal about being on a motorbike.

So glad you had a good time

And yeah, traffic sucks. Especially with a manual. Especially with a manual on hills
I live in a tiny town and traffic was unbearable yesterday. People are stupid and/or way too impatient for their own good. I had to parallel park, so I put my blinker on and someone still rode my rear and had the nerve to honk at me. Um. Excuse you, but I gave plenty of warning. I still got the job done by inching them I wasn't about to lose my spot for the jerk

Rant? I'm awake is the world ending? Am I dying? What is this ungodly time of day I've found myself in?
I woke because I had to pee and was hungry And then I got caught up in CSI (Season 5 finales)
I need to hurry up and turn off my lights and hide though or hubby will put me to work. The husband of his Office Manager has had hubby's bikes for a couple of years now. At first he just cleaning them up for him, tinkered around and then looked for buyers. I guess they're wanting their space back lol.
I'm not even sure which of his bikes they had. His Harleys, I think. Maybe one of his off-roads. I don't even remember how many and exactly what hubby owns
I always liked hubby's Harley with the sidecar. Other than that, I never paid them much attention.

Bikes just aren't my thing. They sound fun but I like the safety of BIG vehicles. I'd love a Hummer if they weren't such gas hogs. My CRV is the smallest car I've ever driven

Meh. I think I might watch some more CSI... or kill zombies. Haven't quite decided yet lol

Did you twist is while looking at the meteors lol? I laugh because that's something I would totally do "Oh look! *crash*"
      Hope your ankle recovers quickly!
I love shooting stars but I no longer have the patience for star gazing

Humorous: I just tried googling "medical term for wet dream". It's nocturnal emissions... which isn't much better. So I googled "more polite term for wet dream". A thesaurus listed it as
      "Nocturnal
      Emissions"
      Thanks for nothing.

Rant: I've been much too sleepy lately. And my bed has some evil, magical power over me now-a-days. As soon as I lay down, my eyes burn so much I HAVE to go to sleep. I like playing games on my iPad or Ds before going to sleep. Nope. Not anymore.
Also, the "arthritis" in my fingers and toe haven't improved. I guess I truly can stop blaming the Glucosamine. The aches are getting on my last nerve... but it's not killing me. Just annoying.

      Rave:
      BellFlower.jpg
My plant actually isn't a Bell Flower but an Angel's Trumpet and it's beautifully in full bloom.

      *EDIT*
And yeah, I laid down on my dirty porch to take that picture lol

      Yep. That's the flower
My hubby's ex-wife was growing some. When we took their daughter home to the mom, I was swooning over her plants, so she gave me one.
I was most interested in it, at the time, because it's a hallucinagenic
But I'm afraid of messing with them (just like the morning glories that grow in our yard), so I've just grown it for its beauty instead

RANT: Out of nowhere, I was floored by an insane headache.
I keep a headache, seemingly all day every day since puberty. They're usually very low grade and manageable. But good googally this sucker flew from a 2 to a 7 to a 9 on the pain scale. I was on the verge of vomiting and did manage to dry heave some I took 75% of a Valium and went to bed. I managed to sleep for an hour, but those Valium's are so old they might as well be almost useless.
My BP was 140/94. After my nap it was down to 123/83. Sitting up, moving, walking make it worse.
I got up, took a shower with the puppy because the fleas are killing him and then ate some room-temp homemade soup (from my son).
Felt a little better. Pain's at around a 6. I need to take meds, but I couldn't make myself eat enough food for that. I'm still way too nauseous.

I was supposed to go shopping tonight (the Monday trip) but there was NO WAY that could happen. My son and hubby were surprisingly sympathetic and okay with it.

The location of my headaches are always smack in the middle of the back of my head. Sometimes it gravitates out to my temples or shoots towards the top or behind my eyes. That's a stereotypical tension headache. They feel "dull" but they pulsate. And when they're really bad, they make me puke... which are characteristic of migraines All I know is it better be MUCH better tomorrow or I'll be seeing a Dr. Friggin ridiculous.

I've been getting more of these intense headaches, so.... I have to cut out my caffeine pill again. If that doesn't help, I need to cut out chocolate and then BBQ chips (my morning diet and snack for the last couple weeks). Gah!!!!!!

Hope everyone else is doing well.

      **EDIT**
Feeling MUCH better today, so far. I have some slight "whiplash" from sleeping wrong but ZERO headache. I'm about to eat my cereal... Lord help me
