I'm sorry you feel that way.

Moonagedaydream: May I suggest that if you do feel that someone attacked you, maybe it would be a good time to ask for PM help from a staff member?
Attack on your ideas is not necessarily an attack on you, guys.
Keep in mind how difficult it is to convey emotion over the Internet; unless it's glaringly evident that a poster means you harm. If it was just a misunderstanding then it was just that.

Tropical: yes! I was sprayed by a skunk when I was in first grade on a school night. I snuck out to give milk to the neighbor's cat and well, I picked it up.
It wasn't funny at the time, we empty the bin of tomato sauce just to get rid of the smell. I took a bath tomato sauce. I remember that I was really late for school and the whole day I was worried that I smelt like a skunk and tomato sauce. I felt so embarrassed.

      HumbleDreamer, Tropicalbreeze, MoonAgeDay Dream,
I am not sure I see attacking going on. More just some gruffness or moodiness. I hope you are all enjoying your interactions to some degree. I could suggest, but not demand, that if anyone does not want advice or comment, maybe write something along those lines in the future to avoid confusion. Have fun guys, try not to take things personally. It is nice you can all exchange thoughts and enjoy interacting.
Rant: I found out last November that I was going to die! My dad died suddenly 7 years ago. It was a deadly aneurysm where the aorta meets the heart. I had to fly across the country because only a few specialty places could do the repair. My wife was not allowed to come with me because of COVID. I faced it alone and they cut open my chest and placed an artificial ascending aorta in there. It was so tramatic, I cried every day for the 5 months between find out I could die any minute till the surgery. My bank account was depleted by about $15,000 and I could not work for 2 months.
Bright side: It has been 4 months and I am very healthy now.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.

I am a cancer sign. Moodiness is a common trait of ours. Us crabs can't help being crabby at times. :p Sounds like a very rough time. Hope you passed through it and can remain healthy, sivason.

You thought the skunk was a cat? :p How long did it take the smell to go away? Just a few weeks ago a skunk got hit by a car on my block and it must of sprayed. It smelled horrible on my side of the block for nearly a week. I sometimes encounter skunks while running or walking at night. Luckily never been sprayed.

Oh, I already did. Doesn't really matter, sivason looked at it. It isn't glaringly evident. It was veiled. I'm sad you don't see it. I don't mean to drag this through the mud. Although I want to point out:

That was an attack on my personality. It was veiled, yes, but it is what it is. You know, it's not the attack that bothers me. I mean, I work in a middle school after all. Bloody hell, Sivason! That is one heck of a rough patch you've been through. I'm happy to hear the operation was successful. The flip side of the anguish is that the experience will have strengthened you (maybe in more ways than immediately meets the eye). As they say, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. And this didn't, so you are.

I'm describing how i function in hopes you would understand me better. Not attacking you. I don't even know you well. For example; i see many things i can emphasize with on here but i often don't feel the need to show or display my feelings. You mentioned an outlet for compassion. I'm saying its not always visible.

But now i see where the misunderstanding occurred.

Thank you for understanding. I can be a little sensitive sometimes, I apologize for that. And you're mature for being able to look at things from both sides, I certainly don't always do that. Feeling a fair bit better, thanks.

On another note, it is very strangely cool here (74 degrees!). Unseasonably so. I had to put on my super warm hoodie. The wind is howling outside.

Rant: I'm a little sad that the drama is dying now. It created some well needed liveliness.

I dunno man, I never intended for there to be any drama. I replied earnestly with the goal of being as productive as possible in trying to help you.

I'm surprised you ultimately interpreted my response as something to be upset about given it contained quotes such as "I have sympathy for you because I know it's demotivating and hard", "Once again I can relate to the way you feel, and I can certainly empathise with you" and "hope you feel better soon".

Beyond that, and my already outlined critique of your philosophy and general behaviour, I didn't have anything else to say.

Can we knock off the disrespect towards each other? This is RRCC, so some "drama" is to be expected. But direct it against the situations that we find ourselves in, not against other members. Rant against life, and don't take it out on each other. Don't start unnecessary drama for the heck of it. And I'm kind of surprised I have to say it, but don't take attempts at sympathy as personal attacks.

Consider this your warning. I'm tired of getting email reports about this thread.

Yes, but only in response to you acting like a sullen teenager initially. It's ironic that you can act so edgily towards others while simultaneously getting so upset when someone returns the same energy towards you.

If you want to help someone. Understand where there coming from. Ask if they need help. Don't just lash out and assume things. How is that helpful? It makes things worse. How are you going to throw insults as your first post then suddenly try to be helpful? Use common sense.

Its funny how you call me upset while being upset yourself.

To be fair, only one person here claimed to be attacked. In a previous post i say, its only a misunderstanding.

I'm probably getting banned for this. But its unlikely i will be having internet access in a month so either way i won't be around much longer.

It's cool where I live... Just finished roasting Chestnuts, having some homemade hot cocoa with my family!

A small rant, I wasn't looking where I was going and I ended up causing some of the wood that was in a pile in the house to roll over and jab into my right foot. I'm okay! A little sore, swollen, and I know I'm going have some bruises tomorrow. It's my fault. I should have been more aware of what I was doing and watching where I was going. Don't worry, I don't need any help. I just need a little alone time to unwind from a very busy week so far.

Rant: I also burnt cookies that I made today!

Rave: Also, The Task Of The Month for this month has been posted: https://www.dreamviews.com/tasks-mon...ml#post2239621

Can't wait to experience a Martian dust storm! Or some of the other dream task! I've been slacking in my dream recall lately.

So I was having a pretty good day today. Enjoying my bottle of diet coke while teaching. Then I had a strange thought. Wow! This coke tastes good! Then, to my horror, I see that I just drank about 50-60g of sugar. Turns out it was a regular vanilla coke - not a diet. Not so fun, since I've been in ketosis for a few weeks. Yeah, almost cursed in front of my students (thankfully didn't!). Been feeling mildly ill all day! Doh!

Rave: I gained all my hard earned muscle back after a string of surgeries. I am now about as big as an average guy can get with out using steroids.
Rant: Totally related to the Rave- I just figured out most people are intimidated by body builders. This includes a study on what people find creepy. It seems creepy has to do with a sense of danger. Being heavily muscled was very high on the list of things that make others uncomfortable and creeped out. My wife finally admitted to me that she does not even like huge muscles as she also finds it intimidating. To put this in perspective, I am NOT like the muscle guys on mags. I am about the size of the guy who plays Thor. I am kind of pissed and bummed to find my hard work over decades leads to me being less accepted/liked.

You said that name Thor, I had a dream about Chris Hemsworth as a teacher, teaching his students about the echo system? I was there to visit.

Honestly, I had never really given that much thought and I guess it makes some sense. Though, when I was much younger I really wanted to be a body builder type of person or something of that nature anyway, but eventually I found out my body just made that practically impossible so I ended up giving up on that, so I think I mostly have a bit of admiration for people who do manage to do that sort of thing, if anything.

Slightly related(?) rave on my part since I rarely remember to rave about anything.

Lately I've been doing a lot of work helping my partner with what has been a pretty physical job but more importantly it has also meant a lot of climbing which was something I used to struggle with a lot; it's helped me immensely with dealing with my fears of heights, since I just have to get on with it and do the job anyway.

Weather is beautiful. Good day for a run. By the drivers were horrible today. Less attentive. Almost go hit. Maybe because of the election results? Their minds too preoccupied so their less attentive on the road? Beautiful outside though with it being fall fallage and the tree leaf's nicely colored.

My sister's dog Zoey, they had to put her down. She was sick with pneumonia. We had funny memories with her when I went to my sister's house.

Sorry to hear that, how old was she? Mine's getting on with her years and a cancer but still more lively than me for the most part.

Little mix of things; good that we've been busy with work I suppose but I feel too tired to be able to focus on other things I want to do and many personal projects are feeling left behind, leaving me feeling frustrated and disappointed in myself in a sense; short days are feeling very unhelpful in this regard, especially since the days off have generally been the ones with crappiest weather. When I've been reading lately I find myself getting distracted too easily and unable to focus or concentrate on it and either just start reading about something else I thought about during that process or end up just doing something different out of distraction, putting the book aside/closing the tab I was reading.

Aww that's sad. I lost my two dogs last year and year before that. They were 13 and 14 years old, pit bull mutt and lab/shepherd. It's interesting. After Jack died, I kept hearing as I was falling asleep this thick southern drawl telling me he wasn't going to move on. It was his choice, and he was going to stay with me forever. Stubborn, just as he was in life. A couple days later I had a dream vision of him as a puppy, starting his life all over again. When Louie died last year, I was sad because I didn't hear anything from him. The father told me that's because he was running around having adventures. A week later I had a dream vision of him by my bedside, his face on the bed next to me. That was last I saw/heard of them. Uhh, it's so hard.

I don't know if those experiences were real.. who knows? But I enjoyed them nonetheless.

I've been feeling that way too. No energy. I blame work being so hard right now. Anyways, I hope you feel better soon!
