      It's FREEZING!

I live in Massachusetts and Its so cold here. I've never experienced such a cold winter before. It's around the negatives here. School was even canceled today because of this and my the water for my sink is frozen. Is there anyone around who lives in new england?

I was watching the news last night and this weather forecast guy cracked open an egg on the sidewalk and after 3-4 minutes past. It was frozen. He later then got a cup of water and spilled it on the sidewalk. Literally seconds later it was already frozen. I thought it that was pretty interesting

To those who live in warm climates, I am so jealous of you! I hate the winter, but I also dont want to move because of family/friends.

Anyway you guys might not care, but I just wanted to share that with you

I live in Maine. It was 35 below zero yesterday and 38 below zero two days ago. It's so cold that we're nearing another state of emergency, like when the ice storms hit a few years ago. Pipes are freezing all over the place and the roads are getting pretty beat up.

My car is with my mechanic at the moment (and has been for about two weeks), which is just as well because it's so cold that even my mechanic can't start it. My poor car is almost as old as I am (I have an 1981 Chevy Citation). I don't know how many more Maine winters it will survive.

Lost soul, you have my sympathies. You have it worse than I do down here. I think that this winter is ridiculous. Have you ever thought of moving to somewhere warmer? BTW good luck with your car

The cold just sucks. In England, it can get cold, but never as cold as some places like Canada and what not.

I remember, I went on holiday to Florida and it was nice and hot. I went back to England and was absolutely frozen to death, wondering how I managed to put up with it.

Southern Cali people are spoiled by the weather. It's around 60 and sunny. It get round 40 at night and that'll be it. It won't rain or be too cloudy until spring. That's us, baby.

Hope I didn't just jinx California.

You people in warm climates suck. Everything closes when there is one inch of snow on the ground down there! Up here I've trudged to work in about seven or eight feet of snow (I'm not joking). During those ice storms a few years ago, my family was literally trapped in our house because our road had completely caved in. We couldn't leave, nor could anyone get to us. We had no power for nearly a week. We had gas heaters in the cellar to keep the pipes from freezing, and (thankfully!) gas heat throughout the house. We didn't freeze, we didn't starve, and we had lots of pretty candles lit. The family was together and it wasn't so bad. Compared to other Mainers, we had it easy.

It has crossed my mind to move elsewhere. I just don't have the money to do it. I would love to travel, though. In fact, England is one of the places that I'd like to visit. Ireland, Japan, Africa. I really want to see the world some day.

lol we dont close everything when theres an inch of snow, we dont get snow! ...and aside, the casinos around here dont close for anything ...im serious, they're open every single day of the year 24/7 regardless of anything...if Christ were to return tomarrow, they'd still be open the whole day...if half the town got blown up by a nuke, the other half would still be open....freaking crazy

Yay! I live in England. ^_^ Had some American friends over to England for a couple of weeks one time, then I stayed with them in America for another 2 weeks.

The best thing about England is its History (IMO). Because it so damn intresting. I mean, how often is it these days you have angry spainards sailing to England, a queen who brushes her teeth with honey, and some idiot of a king who let some people rent a storeroom right under his throne (this is where the gunpowder plot was carried out without success )

That's not too far from me. And yes. Tourists suck. I used to live in Old Orchard Beach, the tourist center of Maine. Why the hell are they coming to Maine anyway? I mean, it's not like there's anything to do up here. Unless they like trees and moose, I suppose. Acadia is nice, but that's WAY up there.

I remember one day up in Grand Forks where I could spit, ant then it froze and bounced off the ground. We still had school that day too. I think it was about -55 or -50.
