Casey Anthony Verdict - Your Thoughts?

I just want to know what you guys think about the Not Guilty verdict to 1st degree murder in the Casey Anthony trial. Explain your answers.

Added by Xaqaria: If you don't care about this topic and don't think other people should care about it, there is no need to post that opinion here. Just go about your life and leave the discussion to those that actually would like to be involved.

I was gonna post this but people are posting so much about it (not on here), I decided not to.

but I think she did it because what about all of the lies she told, that she got caught for and guilty for, all of the partying, not reporting her missing child for a month etc, etc.
If she really did it, she might not have a guilty verdict, but she will feel guilty in her mind.

      unless she is a psychopath....

      This.

Also, I don't know who this person is, and I honestly don't care.

If you are not from the US then I don't blame you for not knowing who she is. She was basically accused of murdering her 2 year old kid (which I know happens all the time, but her story just some how made headlines). They found on her computer that she went to a site on how to make chloroform 80+ times and she didn't report her child missing until 31 days have passed.

It's a simple Google search. There's more to it than this but I'd rather read reactions from people who know about it.

and she was partying the nights the daughter was gone, made up a fictitious baby sitter, lied to the court and said her parents had set up the plight and the father abused her and molested her daughter. She was caught that these were all lies, and the chloroform deal, the grandma said that her car smelled like dead body; yet she still didn't get the guilty verdict to the murder. The skull they found had duct tape covering the mouth. This happened like 3 years ago...or something. It's been all over the news in the US, I don't even watch the news and I know about it lol.

and I know people keep bitching and moaning about it, but really guys, it actually is a deal...not that you should run around posting shit about it everywhere, but honestly it has some importance.

Who cares? Evidently a lot of people, for some insane reason. Never heard about it either but there's shit everywhere.

No one has any place to say anything anyway. The courts said she was not guilty, that's it. Obviously there was not enough evidence.

I really don't think anyone's media induced bias holds any weight.

Why is it so important? Is it like the OJ Simpson thing all over again? I guess I don't get what the deal is with this particular case. I don't watch the news, it's complete crap.

yeah, people keep saying its like the OJ Simpson case.
I guess its important because the girl was 2, if there was some woman you know that all signs pointed to her murdering her own daughter, would you want her running around on the street? or around your child? or getting away with murder of her fucking 2 year old? I'm not saying she is going to slaughter all the children, but still.

The case was an example of our justice system working the way it was intended to, and for that I am glad.

Don't even bother. They're not going to be contributing to this thread. By you responding to them like this is only going create a distraction for people who do care about this topic.

I was only asking for opinions on this verdict. If you don't know or don't care, then I ask you to move on. We can't have real discussions with someone who doesn't know what we're talking about.

Honestly, I think she did it. The whole thing is too suspicious with the chloroform, etc. I don't believe she was wearing a bathing suit when they found her body. What I really can't stand is that they didn't at least find her guilty of child abuse.

But I also agree with Catbus. Everyone keeps saying that the justice system failed Caylee, but if it weren't the way it was, people would be getting locked up for no reason. If I was falsly being accused of murder, I would want to tell my side of the story (I'm not implying she didn't do it though).

What really went down was that the prosecution fucked up and they just couldn't prove that she did it, and if you are not 100% sure she did it, why give her the death penalty? This is exactly why I don't believe in Capital Punishment.

Also, I'm not sure the kind of person who goes partying just after killing her child is going to feel very guilty about it. So feeling guilty probably won't be her punishment (which leads me to believe that she's literally insane), but it's obvious she still won't have a normal life. Who knows if she's going to be able to get a descent job now. Who knows if she will even make it stepping out of jail. Someone could be waiting for her on a roof with a sniper rifle.

She carried her daughter's dead body in the truck of her car for days, while she partied.
It is possible that she didn't murder her daughter, and is just a complete and utter freak.

Does anyone think it could have been an accident and she was trying to cover it up?

Edit: (Then again, there were Google searches on her computer on how to snap someones neck). Lol I'm forgetting that idea.

I think that it's bullshit. There's just no way she didn't do it, and she should be in jail. Even if she didn't kill the daughter, she abused the shit out of her. She's a horrid bitch who we let go without a second thought. Fuck that.

yeah, I know what you mean. Even though the signs point to her, there is still not complete evidence it was her.
And if she didn't do it, then it would be another person going to prison, but I still can't fathom why she waited a month after reporting her missing, shouldn't there be some charge for that? neglect? I don't know.

      My thoughts:
      1. I really think she did do it.
      2. She just played innocent like Norman Bates did at the end of the original "Psycho". "Well, they'd think that this woman wouldn't even hurt a fly!"
      3. The jury were idiots, they caught her lying, she should be in prison
      4. This is just another OJ case except with a female...

apparently that's her "way of grieving"
did you see the court video, where friends of hers testified, and they said she didn't act sad at all, or tell anyone her kid was missing???
