I've got fines to pay off and shit before I can leave the state, and while I like the humane society it won't pay my fines so I'll need to find something else. It'll be worth it though if I can work there.

Sweet. Car insurance for this year is just a bit over $1900. Granted, that still sucks. But I was expecting it to be liked $2100-2300, which is what it's been the last few years. So that's a couple hundred bucks I don't have to worry about now, since I already have the $1900 needed saved up (I usually try to pay my car insurance in full and just save up all year for it--I hate monthly bills, so I avoid them as much as possible).

Few more years, I'll be 25... supposedly, that's when insurance really drops.

i could probably get cheaper insurance driving a 'vette. I guess the percentage of people who crash tc's is so high, that's why it's so expensive to insure. And that's with the insurance company thinking I drive 10 miles a day... when really, it's about 80 miles a day.

I'm happy that I'm finally about to take a couple weeks off and separate myself from work by 3000+ miles.

Also, it sure is peaceful with the phone turned off for the last several days.

Dear Childhood Self: I just had a banana split for breakfast with cookies and cream, chocolate and raspberry syrup. Suck it.

I checked the other laundromat since the one that's close to my apartment closed down. It's so much cheaper, the people are friendly, and most important of all, it's air-conditioned. For 100 degree+ Fahrenheit weather, that is a huge convenience. And they even have decent food here if I have some extra money to spend too. Those chicken fingers with BBQ, Gravy Sauce, and fries.....and they don't even use MSG in it!

Thank goodness I have that problem (the laundromat) resolved. Good day so far, I can't wait for college to start so that I can actually start being busy with something.

Anyways, last weekend the open-minded part of myself finally won out over the straight-edge part. On Friday morning I'd randomly had the thought that, you know, it'd actually be a shame to go my entire life without trying some pot. And my friends being who they are, I wouldn't find a more supportive environment than what I have right now. I mentioned this to the most interested friend on a Saturday evening, and he had me over there half an hour later. xD I felt a little nervous and rushed at the time.

But I gotta say... I finally see some of what the fuss is all about. At the level I was at, it was like having all the pleasant, lazy, dreamy sensations of sleep deprivation with none of the crankiness usually involved. At my peak, it felt kinda like I was walking around in a dream... which is a seriously cool feeling.

All of my friends were pretty shocked to hear I was willing to try it. I was one of the most stringent straight-edges they know. I only wish I had been there when the news got out so that I could see their faces.

I got my new tattoos today. On each hand there are two meth pipes intersecting to form X's. Pix coming soon, but until then to help give you a visual it's like this



Only with meth pipes.

Thank GOD for this three day weekend. Now I can finally relax some, and catch up on some stuff I've been meaning to do.

This was really good, I was hoping it wouldn't be too self-indulgent and it wasn't, and I think the camera shots worked well to suggest that it applies to everyone, not just the guy in the video (which I assume is you).

One critique I would have though, is that the music got a bit repetitive - I assume it was hard to find a free piece of emotional music that lasted 6 minutes. To be honest, I'm sure I paid more attention to the music than the average viewer, but I would have liked a moderately sad piece, then a bit of silence during a particularly striking scene (e.g. when you start writing the messages), finishing with a really sad piece. If you feel like adding a different piece in there at any point, I'll happily give you some names of some really good tracks.

As I said though, this is great, I'm sure it will help a lot of people.
