oh yeah, isn't Inuyasha great? I have to say, what really makes it so great, is the multitude of squealy 11 year old fangirls who obsess over him! oh yeah.

in fact, i have. i've seen several episodes, and one too many retarded fans.
smart move! Inuyasha hating deserves it's own thread
I don't hate Inuyasha. I even watch it myself. I don't like the people who obsess over it. They get really annoying. It's a TV show. I just watch it because it is on adult swim and every saturday night I stay up till 4 watching TV (Mainly for FLCL). There are the annoying fans who I disassociate myself with and there's the people who have problems. I remember the girl who really thought she was going to resurrect Inuyasha and fall in love with him. It is those people that give the show a bad name. It isn't the show that's bad, it's the people.
God, I watched FLCL and my head hurt by the time the ending credits rolled. My first coherent thoght after was "WTF did I just watch?" LOL :imslow: Despite the fact that is has zero plotline and made about as much sense as telephone flavored ice cream, I actually enjoyed it. It made me laugh.Quote:

I used to live and die by anime and my friends and I would get together every weekend to watch it. That is, until I realized that everyone was acting all retarded over anything that was anime--even if it sucked. It really wore me down to the point where I felt ill every time I saw anything drawn in the anime style. So I quit cold turkey. But thanks to Fullmetal Alchemist (hands down, THE best show I have ever seen anime or other), I have a renewed and unretarded love for the genre. So long as idiot fandorks aren't shoving it down my throat, it's pretty cool.
But now, I am no longer afraid to admit it: I watch and appreciate anime! Hell, in July I'm even going to a convention with my brother dressed as characters from Fullmetal Alchemist. It's going to be fun. ^_^
i watch inyu sometimes but it is mainly just a filler until i see the wolfs rain, whitch hunter robin, Fullmetal, or some other anime i want to watch that night

The main reason I watch Inuyasha is for the Osuwari-age -- and also the Tessaiga-age, but mainly the Osuwari-age.

:D
Fullmetal alchemist is a pretty sweet ass show.
I have no idea what you're talking about. (That's probably a good thing).
I’m totally addicted to Adult Swim. I do all my work (art) at night and I always have Cartoon Network playing in the background. I’ll stop and take a break for some shows, and others I’ll just work right through and enjoy like I would a radio show. I’ve never physically seen Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Wolf’s Rain, The Big O, Paranoia Agent, Tom Goes to the Mayor, or Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law (wtf? lol), but I listen to them all the time. I will sometimes sit down and watch Inuyasha, but I have to say that I could definitely do without the shitty American voice actors. Every time Kagome opens her mouth, I want to slap her.
Shows I do take the time to watch:
FLCL (oro…?)
Futurama/Aqua Teen/Family Guy/American Dad (not anime, but I really like them)
Robot Chicken (another wtf? lol)
Fullmetal Alchemist
I’m very pleased with how the English voice actors are handling FMA, but I still much prefer it in Japanese.
Greywolf: You bet I’ll post up pics. ^_^ I might get some tonight, even. It’ll be me and Dae as Edward Elric and Roy Mustang, respectfully. Lucius and I are going to a convention in Europe as well, probably sometime next year. I’m not sure if he wants me mentioning this, but I’m pretty sure he’s going as Envy (and I’m taking my Edo costume overseas with me… I hope my automail gets through airport security, lol!). I saw a sneek peek at his costume, and it looks great. His second choice for cosplay is Cloud of FFVII fame, but I’m going to try and convince him to go as Envy.
Wow, this was longer than I meant it to be. Lost Soul talks to much. >.<

Ditto -- actually, they're Canadian, but let's not split hairs. No matter what their nationality, the English Dub VAs suck ass.
I can't watch FLCL -- it's just too bizarre for me. Kind of like that insufferable Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Blecch.Quote:

Robot Chicken is AWESOME. It had a Sailor Moon parody skit just last night. HILARIOUS. Of course, Family Guy and American Dad RULE.
haha...i saw that...it was pretty good..i love it when they do parodies like that. i cant wait until they do a dragonball Z one :lol:Quote:

I love FLCL beyond belief and yes there is a plot line, but the series is too short to ever reveal it. :PQuote:

You don't talk enough LS.
Awww. You’re so sweet to me. ^_^Quote:

After that first wtf episode of FLCL, I looked it up in hopes of finding the manga, however there doesn't appear to even be a manga. And isn't it only six episodes long or something? (I did find out that furikuri means ‘the fondling of breasts’ or something like that. LOL)
In related news: I just finished making my/Ed's boots tonight (with a lot of help from Dae). I didn't realize that those damn boots would be so hard to put together. O_o They aren't perfect, but I think they're at least passable. It's not like anyone will be staring at my feet anyway. And if they are, they’re probably cosplaying Hyuuga Hinata from Naruto (…wonder if anyone will get that).
… which by the way, Naruto is coming to Toonami (not Adult Swim?) sometime this year, I think. I hope they don’t screw it up. I can think of more than a few scenes that are probably going to get the snip. And I shudder to imagine what the English voices will sound like. They’ll probably cast the guy that does just about every voice in Dragonball/Z/GT for Naruto's voice. I can't stand that guy. He's, like, the whore of the voice-acting world. He’s in everything. I'll probably watch the first few episodes in English, just to satisfy my morbid curiosity. If Naruto opens his mouth and I hear Gokuu, I will quietly turn off the tv and go find something constructive to do.
Naruto the Anime is not that good. I saw a bit of it. I forgot who did the voices, but I don't think that they did it. I liked the Manga by far a lot more than the Anime. Most Animes are never better than Mangas. DB GT was ruined after people heard the voices.Quote:

I would like to see them. That would be interesting. What did you use to make them? I get what you mean. Silly Hinata. :PQuote:

I love Hinata so much, but I wish she’d just SPEAK UP! It’s not that hard, girl! “Naruto, I like you. Let’s go get ramen.” There, see? That wasn’t so bad now was it? And it’s not like Naruto would say ‘no’ to ramen. She’s so shy that she’d probably pass out before the question left her mouth. Poor girl. I hope we get to see more of her in the future. (I have to say, though, of all the females in Naruto, I like Temari the best.)Quote:

O.O Yeah, watching the anime cracked me up because it all seemed so random… I mean, Episode One: A cute little boy gets hit on by his mysterious older brother’s girlfriend. A pink-haired girl claiming to be an alien runs him over with her motor-scooter and then beats his ass with an electric guitar. And then moves into his house. O.oQuote:

Anyway, I made the boots out of old combat boots given to me by a friend in my brother’s unit. At first, I was all afraid of debasing government property, but she told me that they were no longer army property and I could do whatever I wanted to them. So I trashed them.
I removed all the divots and cut them to about ankle length. I had to make a cut under the hard part of the toe because they were slightly too small and I wanted room for comfort. I’m going to be fighting, running and jumping around in them, after all. I painted the trimmings and soles red, and then used the extra leather pieces to make one of the strappy things (the one that goes over the top of the boot). I didn’t have enough material to make all three strappy things and connect them with the red ring. If that doesn’t make sense, here’s a crappy sketch that I threw together in, like, two seconds:

They aren’t perfect, but they’re convincing enough.
Do you mean the English dub of Naruto or the Japanese version? I actually really enjoy the anime (subbed, of course. I’m a purest); maybe because I saw it before I started reading the manga. It’s just so… fun. And… and… ninjas! :D But yeah, I do agree that the manga is better—It almost always is. I definitely like the Hagaren / Fullmetal Alchemist manga far more than the anime, although I am totally entranced with the anime (which should say a lot about the manga).Quote:

Ah, and again I’m talking too much. There aren’t a whole lot of people I can intelligently discuss anime with (mostly because a lot of people around me don’t watch it), so this has been nice.
hay I herd from my cous that 2 inuyasha films are coming or are out this week the one that is not out yet is coming tomrrow :DQuote:

Um...where have you been? The fourth Inuyasha movie came out like, a year ago -- check it out: Inuyasha Movie 4: Guren no Houraijima (2004)Quote:

how is the forth one out when the third is not even out until september of this year?
Don't be daft -- the third movie, Tenka Hadou no Ken, came out in 2003. I believe what you mean to say is that it will officially be dubbed soon, or whenever you said. THAT I am NOT looking forward too. Who knows what blasphemy will be done by that Dick Cox? (:P)Quote:

God the English cast is horrible. Canadian or American; I don't care. They suck.Quote:

And it looks like I won't be attending Anime Expo 2k5 after all. I am saddened beyond belief by this turn of events, but alas, I take comfort in the fact that there will be other conventions. In fact, Lucius and I are going to one in England (I don’t know which yet) and I know that he won’t let my Edo cosplay go to waste. Hell, I think he’s a bigger fangirl than I am sometimes. I'm pretty sure he's going to cosplay Envy. If he does then goddamn... I'll NEED my automail because I’ll be fighting off the drooling fanpeeps all night. He's sooooo hot in his Envy cosplay and EDWARD IS NOT SHARING! I've got to protect my sin after all.
Unless we come across a cute Cloud cosplay... then I suppose there will be some sharing going on. *cough*
I'm so bad.
