      melanieb, your turkey's face is so ugly that it's beautiful. I like how unusual it looks compared to other birds. My duck looks extremely plain compared to your turkey.

      He's a sweetie. Every morning when I let him out and every evening when I put him up for the night he sticks his neck out to have it stroked. He likes it, think it feels good on his skin/waddle.

      He's a very proud (and spoiled) bird.

      I hear that domesticated turkeys are so stupid that they need assistance mating and require round enclosures because if there are any corners and thunder occurs, they will kill themselfs by repeatedly running into it. Is this true? I have no verification.

      Also, is they dude riding the horse because he got to many DUIs to drive or does he just like being a cowboy?

      I don't find it true but maybe for a different breed of turkey? Mine is a wild turkey.

      We bring him into his enclosure and room when it rains or there is thunder.

      I've never seen him engage in unpleasant behavior during or prior to a storm.


      I have no idea about the guy on the horse. In Texas it's a normal mode of transportation for some people. A lot of the county parks allow horses.

      If I see him again I will ask.
