Sorry for another snow pic, but I stepped outside today to find my car being eaten by a bush!:

^ Click the bigass thumbnail to see the picture bigger on Flickr. Once there, click on it to see it in their lightbox (can go fullscreen using navigation in upper right corner), or click on Actions>View All Sizes to see or download the honkin' big version.
Also, let me try this one:

Foggy as HELL out there this morning! Had to get out the camera and tripod and take some long-exposure panoramic shots. Fun stuff!
^Love that panoramic!
^That's very nice. I love the color and lighting contrasts. There's a magical quality about it, even though the picture's content is mundane.
Thanks to you both! Yeah, that's what I really love about long exposure night shots - the colors come out all crazy and you don't really know what it's going to look like until you get it on the computer. I'm kicking myself in the face now because I passed up a shot I should have got earlier in the morning, before the sky even started to lighten. I was walking my dog and we came down this steep hill and ahead of us was a facing hillside with the lights of a subdivision visible - but it was dark enough so you couldn't see houses at all, just the windows lit up and street lights, yard lights etc, and then the top edge of the hill in silhouette with deep blue mist rolling down it. I really reeeally wanted to run back home right then and get the camera and tripod but the dog wouldn't have understood why I was making her go back home already and she wouldv'e been bummed out. So I was all like Ok, when we're done walking I'll do it, but yeah, I just didn't. Until later when I saw that vista out there and decided to just snap it from my porch.

I have a Flickr account too.
Yesterday i clicked the link under your panoramic pic to, excitedly view your account. I don't know much about how to navigate Flickr. I saw your favourites and pocked the long dog. I found myself on a dark site with puppets (I got confused, thinking I was still on your Flickr account account). I had difficulty finding a pic that I liked. But I wanted to "comment".
Finally I found a metal dragonfly and commented.
This morning I realised my mistake. Your Flickr account is full of bright , uplifting pics.
Here is a link to the dragonfly pic that I commented on:
Welcome to Flickr!
Did the link work? I am on my phone.
This guy was chillin' on my washing machine one day.

Night 001 fixed by Darkmatters, on Flickr
This was an almost excellent picture marred by one of those ugly political yard signs stuck front and center and a blazing porch light. So I busted out photoshop and got rid of them. Learned a few new tricks while I was at it - looking at it now I can't even tell it's been doctored up (well, maybe if I look reeeeal close...).
It's hard to see these night shots against this white page, and this one really needs to be seen bigger to get the full impact - I wish Flickr made it easier to figure out how to do this, but since they don't guess I need to post these instructions every time...
Click the image above or the link under it to get to it on Flickr, then click on the image there to see it in their Lightbox viewer (on a black background). Once in, use the link in the upper right to see it fullscreen. Or check View All Sizes and look at the full-sized original - you can download it from that page if'n ya want.
Oh yeah, and switch off your room lights for the best viewing experience.
Went on a trip. Found a little spot with no people and claimed it all to ourselves muhahaha :|
