Haha my dad is the same way. I wasn't able to team up with him efficiently in the kitchen until after I went to culinary school. Now we're a pretty good team :p

He is! Thanksgiving is typically his yearly baking binge; in this pic he's preparing some rolls, cookies, and muffins which are in the oven.

The menu for this year includes scalloped potatoes in cheddar sauce, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes (we all like potatoes), turkey of course, cranberry sauce, wet/dry stuffing, chicken casserole, ceasar salad, pecan pie, and pumpkin pie. It's quite the job to get everything put together.

Obviously, he's the number one cook in the family. My brother is the heir to his throne, and I, the lowly youngest son, clock in at third place.

School and work got cancelled today, since Dallas and surrounding areas are encased in ice.

Not exactly everyday-life - but I love toys - esp. if they have some sort of "science-background" - oh - and my darts of course - best toys...

Edit: I have a whole set of these plastic-rods to stick into the balls - there are different interesting bubbles I can make - but this one I really like a lot.

You can improvise this with wire - but put a bit of glycerine in the water with lots of dish-washing-liquid - otherwise the big ones are not stable..

I could get an extension set - and do this with a dodecahedron, don´t know, if icosahedron would be possible as well now ..

My last trip to Berlin. The bad camera of my old mobile phone didn't capture the whole colorfulness though. :/
