      I figured that's where you got the Shepard Tone thing from lol Saw it on the side after watching this one.

      It is a pretty good channel. I just watched another one about the stopped clock illusion. I've noticed it before but never knew why. Even though I had heard that our eyes do that. Very cool.

      Yeah, I actually did NOT find out about it on vsauce. I stumbled on it while looking through audio illusions like the virtual barbershop. I ended up at TED talks that day. Fun science day.

      Michael doesn't know what he's talking about and the video is bungled and wrong. If you're going to make science videos about interesting ideas, being correct should be quite high on the check list...

      Basically they're referring to a simple calculation some Berkely computer scientist did for fun to work out the mass of data on a Kindle. But the mass isn't due to weight of additional electrons in transistors (nor does charging the Kindle's battery cause it to change weight because you're shoving electrons onto it (you're not), which is probably the message people got from the vid); the mass is because each bit of data involves, roughly, keeping an electron stationary, and this requires energy; and energy has a tiny amount of mass, according to E = mc^2.

      Apparently completely filling a Kindle causes a mass increase roughly the same as the mass of a virus, which seems like quite a lot.
