It's not the first time I hear someone say this. It turns out a lot of people think the Netherlands is not real. I think it's because of the country's name.
Because of this, I'm thinking about starting a petition to officially change the name of the Netherlands to Cheeseland.
I think it would be fun to live somewhere that people think is make-believe. Is there a lot of cheese there?
I don't know if we have a lot of cheese compared to other countries, but seeing how we even have special cheese markets, I'd say yes. Also, when people think of the Netherlands, one of the first things they think of is cheese. I don't think that's without reason.
What about changing this part of the National Anthem''
Een Prinse van Oranje
ben ik, vrij onverveerd,
den Koning van Hispanje
heb ik altijd geëerd.

I live just east of Cincinnati, OH. I'm in college right now, though; Ohio University, so I am in Athens, halfway between Columbus and the southeast edge of the state.

I live in New Jersey a half hour's drive from Seaside Heights (Where they film Jersey Shore.)
And let me tell you now.
Every stereotype, every joke, every negative thought about the Jersey Shore you've had or heard.
Is true. -_-
EDIT: My town is the regional hub, and you can oftentimes find Snooki around town. I am not kidding when I say that.
I live in the Eastern Coalfields of Kentucky in the U.S. About two hours away from Pikeville, which has recently made headlines because one of their churches banned interracial couples.
/facepalm
No wonder the rest of the country thinks we're inbred loonies.
Holy crap, A bunch of people live outside America while I'm stuck in hipster washington :C
