365 days w/o Jerking Off: A self control challenge

Title says it all, tomorrow, Jan 1 2012, i'm gonna start the challenge. I'll attempt to avoid jerking off throughout the whole year, 'til Jan 1 2013. Call me crazy, but this is the ultimate self control challenge. Something almost impossible to achieve. That's why this year, I'm gonna break this saying, and put myself to the test wether I am truly in control of my body or not.

Starting tomorrow, i'll update this thread daily wether I am able to hold off or not. Also, I'm gonna be honest with you guys. So if I fail, then i'll post it here and declare to you all that I failed, simple as that. Regarding about updating the thread, i'm gonna be straightforward with you guys and just have a one sentence, direct to the point update. But, i might sometimes include additional info about how the day went on and ow i stopped myself.

Everybody here in DV are welcome to post any comment or response about my attempt or anything related to that. Everybody here are also welcomed to join me in my attempt and post their updates here as well. You know what they say, 2 heads are better than one.

As of now, 1:50pm, Dec 31 2011, I've already had my "last supper". So rest assured that i'm completely drained off right now. Also, don't mistaken this thread as something related to malicious subjects, this is intended to test one's self-control and know more on how one can hold himself.

2015 UPDATE

365 Day Challenge - Countdown Timer

In view of the upcoming year, 2015, I wish to update this thread with a timer and maybe a couple of guidelines. The timer's purpose is to make the challenge more organized. The timer's based on US Denver time so that it is in sync with DV's own time. Once the timer hits zero, it will count up to 365 days. And once it reaches 365 days, Only by then will this challenge end and the next one will unfold.

Updated and simplified guidelines:

• Everyone's encouraged to join. The more the better.
• Though not required, kindly follow the timer so that everyone's in sync with each other during the challenge.
• You may set your own goal. But please, not just one day.
• Everyone's allowed to join again if ever they fail.
• Honesty is highly valued here. Everyone's given the benefit of the doubt.
• And as always, forum rules still apply.

OP will not be held responsible with whatever may happen to its participants (including but not limited to: cancer, mental breakdown, break ups, and even death)

Um, you could just as well say that you want to test if you are truly in control of your body by spending a year not eating, or not breathing. I don't see any point to this challenge. You'll just be unhappy, as well as unhealthy. Your odds of prostate cancer and high blood pressure will rise.

My Catholic ex boyfriend did this all the time, for longer than a year, and still does. And he is fucked up. Rethink it, seriously. You'll start getting wet dreams. There's no point. If you want to test your willpower, go a month or something, not a year. It's too much, you won't be able to concentrate on anything else. The longest I've gone is like 23 days and I was going crazy and was unproductive, and it was only cause he didn't want me to.

You're right. There's a lot of consequences out there waiting for me. But i already made my mind, this is the inevitable. Besides, i already planned everything from the start, and I know what i'm doing. Plus, it's just a year so there's nothing for me to lose and I doubt that not jerking off for like 1 year(or 1.3% of my whole life) won't have that much impact to me. :)
