I've seen a couple of games before, it all seems rather uneventful, and a bizarrely high emphasis is placed on advertising. English football bores the hell out of me too, but at least they have constant action for pretty much 90 minutes instead of the constant stopping and starting, and the broadcasters just transmit the game rather than being able to pause the entire thing to show tonnes of ads... :/

It just looks like a rather dull excuse for a bonanza of commercialism to me, dunno if anybody in the US feels the same way.

I have never seen the super bowl before, probably never will. Advertisements bore me. Also I don't know what 'XLVI' means in... english numbers >_>, but I think its 46?

Sat in my room with the game on for an hour and a half; played TF2 the whole time.

It does seem like they do too much advertising, but at least they make the commercials funny for the SuperBowl. The whole season itself is just a series of advertisements, even the names of the stadiums are advertised (Lucas Oil Stadium was for this game). Where I live, we got Qualcomm Stadium and Petco Park.

Don't like the way the game turned out (Patriots ftw!), however, I really did enjoy watching the Super Bowl - which was my first, by the way.

I got invited to a super bowl party but I don't like the Pats or the Giants and they have a bunch of annoying kids (redundant, I know) so I decided to sleep instead.

If the niners had been playing, it'd be worth watching. But otherwise... some BBQ and beer is not worth sitting through a game, pretending to give a shit while some dumb little kid talks non-stop.

Can't stand the stopping and starting for ads. And two minute warning, wtf, so obviously just chucked in there to give more ad room. And the sport itself just isn't as compelling as rugby, where the action is much more flowing.

Also you guys should all be watching the one true sport, ice hockey.
